Way too much disrespect for Ipswich on here. People have to remember they've just come up from League 1, they aren't going to dominate every match. They hang in there, and attack when the time is right. I do think Cardiff take a point here though.
-
F the negativity. 3-1 win, Southampton away style. Season back on track, bring on the points deduction. Up the Foxes!!!!
-
Defensively, that's awful. Leeds take their chances far better than we do, still think we are better on the ball though.

Development/Youth Squads 2023/2024 Thread - U18/U21

Buzzing for Sammy, really worry that injury is a giant sliding doors moment, and that if he'd have been understudy to Winks all season under Enzo he will have really thrived. -
Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'
LVFox replied to ClaphamFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
Completely agree with last 2 points (think Forest and Everton will be wrapped up in deductions this season). If its a 3 year period we are monitored on, does that mean 24/25 will replace our huge loss making 21/22 season and we therefore, may have more financial wiggle room than some on here are fearing? -
Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'
LVFox replied to ClaphamFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
Maybe I'm being way too optimistic, but we can still stay up with a 6 point deduction (I'd be amazed if its any higher than that) -
Could be a good rearrangement that, a chance Saints have dropped out of automatic race by then

Went searching for the answer in this. In short, we spent too much on players and still had covid hangover on attendance (apparently? I'm convinced we had full crowds all that season) Interesting to see how it was reported. https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/12828270/leicester-city-announce-club-record-loss-of-92-5m-in-latest-accounts-for-2021-22-season Sky Sports News senior reporter Rob Dorsett: While the club has long-term ambitions to be able to compete with the Premier League's elite in terms of revenue, their current model remains one of buying young talent, improving the squad with good coaching and standards, and then selling some of those players on at a big profit. I understand Leicester's owners and bosses are not concerned by the latest deficit. This is part of a wider tactical plan, and such big losses are expected to be short-lived once the Fofana sale is registered in the accounts. Rob has certainly changed his tune today!

Feels like a number of clubs will be feeling the affect of this in the next season or two. Whilst it's easy to argue the current FFP system isn't fit for use, it could just be that this is the re-adjustment needed to correct bad practice across the industry. Time to focus on our academy, investing in club infrastructure and creating a profitable transfer strategy.
-
Usually pretty accurate yes, but I just don't see what he's saying that we didn't already know. That 21/22 was so bad that 22/23 has to be better or we are screwed...we all know that, and more importantly the club did. Its why we only replaced Fofana with Faes. Either we cut our cloth accordingly in 22/23 and relegation is the cost of that, or we still screwed it, got relegated and then still spent a decent amount this summer. Something doesn't make sense about all of this.
-
Here's what I don't understand. We haven't recently submitted any accounts to show any change of situation (better or worse) since our 21/22 accounts submission, so why the sudden rush of news regarding this? Surely until 22/23 is submitted, this is a complete non-story? No smoke without fire and its obvious we will either be screwed or just scrape by, but I can't understand what's led to this week being full of stories? Similarly, am I right that 22/23 will include both Fofana and Maddison sales? And if so, how the hell are they going to be a bad set of accounts?

Saw quite a few quoting him that Brendan was an inspiration to him and that they'd be exactly the same after we'd just got rid of him. Actually think the Martin comparison to Brendan is absolutely on the money.
-
Hope those that called Kieran McKenna "Brendan Mk2" last season have noticed how talented he is. As for us, if we are still in top 2 after Southampton match (providing that is our league match after Hull), I still fancy us to win the league
-
I'm a huge Enzo fan, but I do feel we've really gone from control to arrogance. We don't put any pressure on opponents any more when they have the ball, we almost expect it to fizzle out and we will keep hold of it again. Need to be more cutthroat in every aspect of our play at the moment.
-
Agree, baffling decision. Confident Stephy takes it on without a second thought
-
Just looks short of confidence, that miss against Leeds seemingly really affected him. Needs a goal and he will get firing again.
-
Odd one to call, we aren't playing anywhere near our best at the moment, but hopefully confident lifts after the 3 points tonight. Hull capable of beating anyone and usually raise their game for the better sides, but don't have the best home record. 2-2 draw for me.

Leicester 1-0 Sunderland Post Match Thread.
LVFox replied to Muzzy_no7's topic in Leicester City Forum
Massively important we just got the win, but f me, that second half was dreadful. Alarmingly for me is our press, which is non existent. We just let sides drive at us with the ball as we drop deeper and deeper without engaging. Allows opponents to build pressure with no real need for quality. Thought Coady, Faes and Doyle all had solid games. -
Time will obviously tell, but I'm fully behind that entire squad selection. Buzzing that Wilf is on the bench
-
Hermansen Coady Faes Doyle Hamza Winks Fatawu Akgun KDH Mavididi Vardy Huge match
-
Spot on last night, selection, subs, tactically, Enzo got it bang on. Really happy to see us defend deeper but stick to our principles, think that deeper line really showed Coady and Vestegaard have more quality than we give credit for defensively. Really promising for next season
-
Coventry or Forest at home. Promotion and Wembley would be an insane season.

Bournemouth FA Cup (a) Post Match Thread

No Hermansen, Winks, KDH or Mavididi. Bournemouth relatively full strength other than Solanke (Big miss mind you). I'm so confident we will handle next season
