Divine Mukasa joins on loan - Official
ian__marshall replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Agreed. What I like about him is that he's letting his talent do the talking. Any player destined for great things should comfortably be able to shine in the Championship regardless of their age. If they're unable they won't hit the very highest levels in the game. Man City have a very special player on their hands, and I'll be excited to follow his progress long after he leaves Leicester. -
Wasn't it confirmed last season that as per this statement, none of the teams had breached. If so, I'm unsure why we would now be under scrutiny after the PL issued their previous statement.
-
Excellent tonight, deserves some credit. Did notice that the team seemed to be supporting him more. Nelson, Skipp, and Aribo all seemed to get across and offer a helping hand, so Rowett and team have clearly been quick to identify that he's been targeted and ensure he's not isolated.

By his standards this season, that performance was prime Maldini levels. Give him credit where it's due. They targeted him relentlessly, but he stood up to the test tonight. -

They certainly have. I think what's surprised me is the effort. We've looked way short of fitness all season, but in these last two games we've worked our b*llocks off right to the final whistle. Again, agree that Rowett has probably laid down his expectations, but to get them to step up given where we were is nothing short of a miracle. -

Shout out to Luke Thomas who was outstanding tonight. He's rightly been singled out for criticism this season, but he thoroughly deserves some praise for that performance this evening. -

No idea what Rowett has done in less than 1 week, but that's our best performance of the season. A decent point given the respective places of each side in the table, but make no mistake, aside from one stupid error we should have taken all three points tonight. We genuinely looked the better side tonight. Keep this up and we'll be fine. -
Mavididi needs to be pulled. Giving the ball away far too much, and not tracking runners
-
Agreed, really odd. Maybe the penny has dropped that he's playing for a move.
-
Not his biggest fan after his antics this season, but Winks has been outstanding tonight.
-
Aside from that miss, I actually think Daka's been decent tonight. Seems to be chasing down every ball. More effort in this game tonight than we've seen in the entirety of his Leicester career.
-
How's Daka missed that!
-
We've been excellent tonight. Rowett has made a huge difference. Pressing so much more, fighting for everything as well. Just stupid mistakes costing us. Think we could beat these in the second half if we can just be a bit a more disciplined at the back.

I wonder if bare-ly goals will get a kick today or whether he's the new Carranza.

Sheffield Wednesday relegated from Championship

Think they were dining out on the idea of it all. -
The lads a class act and you can see he'll go on to be a top player for Man City. What's frustrating for me is that I think Monga looked equally promising (albeit in a different way) when he broke onto the scene but Marti has destroyed the lad. Hope he can recover under the right manager and get back on track although I'm worried that the damage is done. I'm not saying he'd have been a world beater but I think we'd be looking at a very different player to the one we have today had Luke Thomas never been exposed to Brendan Rodgers. The transition from youth football to men's football is a crucial period in terms of player development and it's critical that you have the right environment for them to continue developing, grow, and ultimately fulfil their potential.

Stoke 2-2 LCFC, post-match thread
ian__marshall replied to Phil Mitchell's topic in Leicester City Forum
No, we were dreadful although Stoke weren't much better. Just pleased to see the team respond to a 2nd half team talk, and a tactical change impact the game. Been a long while since we've seen a Leicester side show that level of fight towards the end and actually go for the win. -

Much much better. Decent point away against an above average Championship side. Play like that between now and the end of the season and we easily stay up. Got to take the positives from that 2nd half. -

Mavididi must have a single digit IQ. Decision making is awful. -

Starting to dominate the middle of the park now. Think we may go on to win this if we can start creating a few more chances. -

Wow. Thomas went AWOL there -
Can't Top just pop on his big boy pants and pick up the phone to the PL to draw a line in the sand now we've received a punishment. Both sides need to start behaving like adults. This debacle is starting to make the Vardy v Rooney case look like value for money. It's ridiculous! We need to wind our neck in and the PL just need to accept the results of the IC.

I think this will actually prove to be be a decent appointment. He's a no nonsense, straight talking type of guy, experienced in this league, and with a connection to the club. Yes, his record prior to us is very average, but his PPG should keep us up this season, and I'd fancy him to have us challenging next season assuming he stays on. Beyond that is anyone's guess, I suspect if we eventually do get back to the PL he'd struggle but we'll cross that bridge if we get to it. Of the team's he's managed thus far, this is the most talented group he's had at his disposal so I'm interested in seeing if his PPG increases above his average.

It's certainly not cheap to run a luxury health spa these days.
