Aside from that miss, I actually think Daka's been decent tonight. Seems to be chasing down every ball. More effort in this game tonight than we've seen in the entirety of his Leicester career.
-
How's Daka missed that!
-
We've been excellent tonight. Rowett has made a huge difference. Pressing so much more, fighting for everything as well. Just stupid mistakes costing us. Think we could beat these in the second half if we can just be a bit a more disciplined at the back.

I wonder if bare-ly goals will get a kick today or whether he's the new Carranza.

Sheffield Wednesday relegated from Championship

Think they were dining out on the idea of it all. -
The lads a class act and you can see he'll go on to be a top player for Man City. What's frustrating for me is that I think Monga looked equally promising (albeit in a different way) when he broke onto the scene but Marti has destroyed the lad. Hope he can recover under the right manager and get back on track although I'm worried that the damage is done. I'm not saying he'd have been a world beater but I think we'd be looking at a very different player to the one we have today had Luke Thomas never been exposed to Brendan Rodgers. The transition from youth football to men's football is a crucial period in terms of player development and it's critical that you have the right environment for them to continue developing, grow, and ultimately fulfil their potential.

Stoke 2-2 LCFC, post-match thread
ian__marshall replied to Phil Mitchell's topic in Leicester City Forum
No, we were dreadful although Stoke weren't much better. Just pleased to see the team respond to a 2nd half team talk, and a tactical change impact the game. Been a long while since we've seen a Leicester side show that level of fight towards the end and actually go for the win. -

Much much better. Decent point away against an above average Championship side. Play like that between now and the end of the season and we easily stay up. Got to take the positives from that 2nd half. -
Match thread. I guess. Stoke. Sigh.

Starting to dominate the middle of the park now. Think we may go on to win this if we can start creating a few more chances. -

Wow. Thomas went AWOL there -
Can't Top just pop on his big boy pants and pick up the phone to the PL to draw a line in the sand now we've received a punishment. Both sides need to start behaving like adults. This debacle is starting to make the Vardy v Rooney case look like value for money. It's ridiculous! We need to wind our neck in and the PL just need to accept the results of the IC.

I think this will actually prove to be be a decent appointment. He's a no nonsense, straight talking type of guy, experienced in this league, and with a connection to the club. Yes, his record prior to us is very average, but his PPG should keep us up this season, and I'd fancy him to have us challenging next season assuming he stays on. Beyond that is anyone's guess, I suspect if we eventually do get back to the PL he'd struggle but we'll cross that bridge if we get to it. Of the team's he's managed thus far, this is the most talented group he's had at his disposal so I'm interested in seeing if his PPG increases above his average.

If he's available we 100% have to do everything possible to bring him in. I think he'd be a great fit for our club even more so with where we find ourselves. I just hope the 'he's ex-foest mob' that made Cooper's tenure virtually impossible give this one half a chance. -
FFS @spacemunky, was about to post a grovelling reply in the hope you would have a change of heart. Like @Rajhighlighted, posters like yourself, along with our resident Wolves and Watford contributors are what make this community so great. Pleased to hear you aren't actually leaving 👍.

LCFC 3-4 Southampton, post-match thread

I was thinking that last night, but it all comes from the leadership. Appreciate it's probably a communal space but can you imagine the reaction of Sir Alex Ferguson to that nonsense after a defeat like that. There would have been tea cups and F bombs flying everywhere if anyone was making such a racket. Instead, everyone would have been mindful of his presence and aura and it would have been like a library. Tells you a lot about the current state of the club. -

I completely agree. Two weeks ago Top mentioned in his interview that a Technical Director was 'close' yet there's been no appointment and barely a whisper of who it could be. It's clear as day that there is no vision or strategy underpinning what we are trying to achieve, and any plans are either built on sand or nonexistent. We really have two incompetent individuals steering the ship and we're heading for the mother of all icebergs. -

Genuinely feel sick after that one. It's as if someone has repeatedly punched me in the stomach. We are such a mess. Just how have we ended up in this situation? What's worrying is that it feels like there's more to come. If we go down it's going to create a whole world of new problems with the liabilities we have. I'm just waiting for someone to wake me up from this nightmare. If I didn't know better I'd think a Forest fan had taken charge and deliberately sabotaged us, except I don't even believe the most hardcore Forest fan could do such a job of screwing us over. Just so low, and lost for words... -

When was the last time we conceded a 3 goal lead... Wolves away?!? -
No chance. We're too far off the pace. You're looking at 2-3 months.
-
Don't know how we sort this. Team just aren't physically fit enough. Too late in the season to sort it out. Unbelievable that we've thrown a 3 goal lead away. Inexcusable.
-
Just how?!?
