Loving this final round. Makes me feel better about my own game. Too bad the playoff isn’t a full 18 holes anymore.

2007 US Open was at this course, won by Angel Cabrera with a score 5 over par.

-4 was the winning score the at the last US Open at Oakmont. In 2007, the winner was 5 over par.

Tickets are unsurprisingly cheap for these matches. I've heard of people who bought into the advance ticket packages, and are now regretting it. The second hand ticket market for the first round matches near us is far lower than what FIFA wanted. Might grab some tickets an hour before kickoff, if the market bottoms out.

It's very easy to spend this much, but it's also possible to do Disney World at a much lower cost, and not sacrifice much on the experience. So many different permutations/combinations of deals that impact the pricing: Entry to the theme parks can be upwards of $125 per day, depending on the type of ticket you buy. Including a meal plan in the ticket can add more to the cost, too. Paid ticket add-ons/experiences can add up quickly Disney resort hotel prices can vary wildly, depending on the category of hotel, location, time of year you travel, etc. A quick search shows room rates of 1 week in August, for 2 adults + 2 kids, can vary from $125 per night to $726 per night. My wife and I have just booked 4 nights there, in July. For two people, flights were $500 , rental car $400, and 1 day of theme park access is $250. Though if you stay at a Disney property, you can choose to travel without a rental car, since there is an extensive free bus network between resorts, parks, and more. Guilt by association, with a wife who is a lifelong Disney World regular and knows a good number of the hacks. Happy to answer any questions!

Wondering if any bonuses from Chelsea on the KDH deal for getting top 4 or winning conference league? Grasping at straws, perhaps…

Off to Arizona next week. Several nights in both Scottsdale and Sedona. Sadly, no golf in Scottsdale on this trip. Great scenery and some scorching heat await.

They’re playing like this, against a team who needed 120 minutes to beat Tamworth

Pep going after Henderson???

Correct. We're certainly limiting our domestic travel to states where we are willing to spend our money, but no observable issues with traveling due to anything like this. First I've heard of this, including from family who work for the airlines and regularly fly internationally. Some airports are dealing with infrastructure issues right now due to runway works, but international flights aren't at risk.

That’s the brilliance of a set piece coach

Even here in the states, living within their geographic market, Other Half is priced as a very premium product. $25 for a 4 pack of 16oz cans is typical in a store. It’s very good stuff, but as usual, there are other good products below that price point. I’ll enjoy this 4 pack of an English-style mild for $15, and save the 9% double IPA for another night.

He's known by everyone who follows the PL...a mention of Leicester to a casual fan usually turns into a Vardy discussion. MLS just isn't huge over here. Sure, Messi moves the needle, but their TV deal with Apple is garbage, so airtime is limited. Salary won't be an issue- Vardy is enough of a name that he can be exempted from a team's salary cap structure (known as the Designated Player). The question is, which team holds his discovery rights, and if it's a small market team, will MLS force them to sell/hand over the rights to a Miami or Los Angeles-type market. One note- De Bruyne's rights are held by Miami, who are already maxed out on Designated Players (Messi, Busquets, and Jordi Alba). If he goes to MLS, with the current rules, I can't see it being Miami.

This didn’t age well…

Maguire up front as a target man, without actually getting the ball in the air towards him, is most amusing.

There’s plenty of gems hidden throughout that area, but a good pool is a must. As a school employee myself, certainly understand the plight! Most importantly, that’s a great age for your kids to experience it. The joy in their faces provides a welcome distraction from the exorbitant prices.
