Good squad/manager relationship usually has a likeable number 2 who acts as a buffer between the two. Big gaping hole in that role for us.

Ruud leaves now with his reputation just about still in tact. Players have history of throwing managers under a bus, but I think its generous to say they are shit because they don't like Ruud's methods, when in reality they are just shit. Up to Ruud, or any manager, to get the players on side but its seems an impossible job. Enzo managed it but that was probably only because we were winning, they would have chucked him under a bus too given a chance.

We may have lost every game without him, but i would argue that's just a coincidence rather than the reason. Ideally we need better than him, but we already need enough first team players without having to replace him too. No point in a loan out either.

Has there been any indication why he targeted that particular location? Can't understand how even lunatics like him can target something like that. Could've attacked anything that day. Only a one off game but I think it was Pavlovic who was unbelievably bad when Liverpool won there earlier in the Champions league. Only has to be better than what we have though which isn't difficult.

The difference in mindset is clear though from the stadium, you wouldn't know Ipswich were losing 5-0. KP would be uncomfortable viewing, even against Man City.

Ipswich have spent a fair bit of money, but I'd imagine they haven't gone silly on wages. They will cruise the championship next season if they aren't picked apart. At some point you have to take that extra risk to survive but its a sensible approach first time back.

Murphy is someone you wouldn't trust but I don't mind him. I know a lot don't like him but I think he's OK on comms and studio too. He's definitely more of a natural than some of the others. On his day can play some class stuff too, definite arrogance when he's playing well though.

Similarly to Ruud, how long does Almorin get away scot free? They have been abysmal apart from the games against Liverpool and Man City. And that says it all about the squad the have, capable if they can be arsed. Spurs and Man Utd being so shit should be funny. But hard to really enjoy it when you are twice as bad.

Perhaps only second to us, Spurs are the most obvious team to go Everton and roll over.

The less we can pretend we have hope the better for me.
