Plenty about modern football to annoy you but for me I miss how important it was to me. Through my late teens I'd do anything to get to games, helped it was a journey from league 1 during that period. Some people are able to sustain it into adulthood, and balance with other things. I haven't. Away days were incredible days back then.

Plenty to like about this era under Stokes, and we need to remember it wasn't much good before it. But I can see the next Ashes being the end of it. That's kind of my point. Don't get me wrong I love Vardy and everything he has done, and give him a chance in the 6 yard box and he'll score more often than not. However I think we'd be a better team if we had a striker who would get involved in the play and offer more. As well as the goal threat. Let them get too many in both innings. Need to be better against the tail, Stokes cleverness works well against good batsman but over complicates it against the lower order. Don't think you should be allowed to have the same pitch moving forward. Pakistan would be stupid not to get the pitch for the 3rd test as spin friendly as possible. Talk before the series was that Pakistan don't have great spinners an they've got 7 and 8 wickets in each innings. Ever obliging England.
