  1. You do have to take the rough with the smooth, when shots come off we all love it. But its also a bit of a cop out as well. Small adaptations when needed, like seeing off Bumrah. It's hard for it to consistently come off, not against the best teams anyway. But its the only way we can compete, we could play 'normally' and still get rolled over.
  2. You weren't far wrong Best and worst of Baz Ball in this innings. Throwing the match and maybe the series away in one session.
  3. Brilliant innings, there's always a chance he knicks off early but once he's in the groove he's a joy to watch. They don't always score big but with Crawley/Duckett, whatever they do it will be quick. Consistently getting us off to quick starts in recent times.
  4. Almost series defining innings this, need as close to 400 as we can get.
  5. Shame we couldn't capitalise on the great start. Looks a good wicket (for now at least) once you get in. Going to have to bat very well in the first innings to get anything out of this test.
  6. Wasn't able to watch any of the game last night but good to see us effectively win the game in the first half for a change. And rest Daka for the 90 as well. Don't get me wrong, I've been guilty of it at times, but we must be the most negative league leaders ever. (Fans I mean, not style of play) you'd think we lost going off comments.
  7. I know its not like it's an exact choice, given it's Praet that's really being preferred to Yunus. But if its choice of giving minutes to Yunus or breaking Alves into the squads, I know which I'd prefer at this stage. I wouldn't be surprised to see Yunus used more in these next 2 home games. Enzo prefers him when we are at home, and when we are seeing a game out.
  8. Casemiro would've been called offside if they scored from that free kick.
  9. Unlikeable manager but Arsenal play some great stuff when they are on it.
  10. We are a side note on this highlights programme couldn't get us out the way quick enough. not sure how Bamford can run off celebrating after that, looked a clear handball.
  11. Easy to assume there is a motive behind it but we do have lots of options. Yunus is the KDH alternative
  12. Rugby experts will probably correct me but that first yellow is a bit ridiculous isn't it?
  13. 3 points closer. All that matters.
  14. Stoke really were shite last week, as they are proving again today.
  15. Unlikely with Enzo but could be a more traditional back 4 with Justin playing. He's definitely spotted a threat down the Watford right if he's gone Justin and Mcateer on that side.
  16. Nelson in the starting 11 and Alves on the bench. Great to see when there are more experienced options he could've chose. Not great for Coady though. I worry about the lack of Vestergaard in the middle when we are playing out from the back, don't really like Faes in the middle as his touch can be hit and miss. And it's a big responsibility for Nelson if he's in the middle.
  17. Only takes one moment. Emphatic finish.
  18. Everton in full time wasting mode.
  19. You get some funny results at this stage of the season. The bottom teams usually find a bit of form somewhere so you'll probably drop points where you're not expecting too. Concentrate on our own job and we will be fine.
  20. I can get on board for sin bins for dissent. Everything else is just another grey area open to interpretation
  21. Chelsea have suddenly turned up. Villa have been awful at the back though.
  22. If Vestergaard still had a couple of years left I'd happily give him a chance but I'm not sure we can afford to offer him a new deal. It doesn't make business sense. We are likely to be stuck with Coady, can maybe keep Souttar around and hopefully purchase a new first choice centre back.
  23. He has got goal-scoring instincts, and will score plenty like the one at the weekend when he's just in the right place. Would've had another too after KDH mishit shot because he was running on to it at the back post before the defender intercepted. Touch can be all-over the place but he presses hard, and creates space for others. A full season in and he'd be right up for top goal scorer in the league. I don't know how much was him not wanting to be here to begin with, or Enzo just not fancying him, but either way he's never come across as someone who wouldn't give their all on the pitch given a chance.
  24. This is the big thing, we were able to recover in the first test but you can't keep getting 250 when the opposition get 400plus. Especially against India in India. A lot 20s and 30s as well which need to be converted. Crawley has played a couple of good 70s but needs one to be a hundred. Overall though, we are competing though which is what we want. Isn't Kohli back for next test? Just get's harder.
  25. It's very unlikely. We need to be within 150 when Stokes comes out to have any chance, even then it will almost impossible. Needs a big hundred from one of the top 4.
