Can't wait to see Marco Silva face after this

Not convinced the ref wanted to change the decision. You can tell when they don't because they take a little longer at the screen.

It's obviously a minimum of stoppage time but I didn't see anything that should have meant it went over that time, other than waiting to see if Chelsea scored from a corner.

Shouldn't be enough to change on field decision. If Chalobah doesn't stay down its probably not even checked.

Not exactly the age profile we need to be looking at but he's a CM, captain experience and we are desperate so get him in..

Solid groundworks in place, and that's a good start. Plus with handling the players situation and never knowing how's going to be here for the next game. Fans seem on side which is a good sign. Just need a couple of players to help him.

From Hamburg: Blockbrau - enjoyed a couple of these on the rooftop of the brewery Ratsherrn - Hotel option as local beer. Wasn't a fan tbh but may have just got a bad one, didn't give it another chance Radelberger - again, hotel option and was OK. Hofbrau - couple in the biergarten, enjoyed it. Astra - had this in can, bottle and pint form. Wasn't keen with the can but enjoyed the bottles. Pints were decent in the sun too.

Just back from 5 days in Hamburg with the kids, really enjoyed it. Got really lucky with the weather, just the one evening where it chucked it down, but hot and sunny meant we could just wander around. Yesterday afternoon sat in a bar on the 'beach' watching huge ships going past, could've done it for hours Miniatur Wunderland was fantastic, kids loved the zoo. U boat was pretty shit imo, interesting (and a struggle for me) to squeeze through but didn't really tell you anything. Having a look around the rickmer was better. Expected St Pauli to be a shithole, but it was worse than that rubbish every where. Missus insisted we walked up the bunker which gave a nice view of the stadium. Found it a bit more expenses than I thought but you could probably do it much cheaper if you wanted too. We have been more of an all inclusive family in recent years so found the haemorrhaging money a struggle. Flew back late last night but managed some of the build up to the Derby around Landungsbrucken, Hamburg shirts everywhere.

That's not a world cup winning squad sad thing is I can't even think who makes that defence and midfield better...

Played against 2 relegated teams but also come up against the attacking threat of Jordan ayew, patson daka and George Hirst...

Any points we pick up in August is good, take them and run. However they come.

Didn't think I could feel even less confidence. Great for Page and Monga though

Always a bit sad when an academy product leaves but you can't be turning that down for him. Nothing against him at all but not excellent at anything. Be interesting to see how Ipswich use him. If Alves doesn't get on the bench this week, we will never see him again.

Of all people I'd expect to leave this summer, McAteer is pretty low down. Probably the one position where we can lose someone without leaving us short. Wish him well, and I hope he gets a decent reception but hopefully not well enough to score against us.

Rodgers starting to follow a particular pattern again?

At this point the only people I'd be annoyed to see go are the 16/17 year olds...

There Monday to Friday so miss St Pauli v dortmund and the Derby

I mean I was definitely over the top, but felt really awkward. It was the goal scorer.

****ing hell, worst interview ever

Everton have been the same for so long.

Exactly why handball can be impossible to rule, so many differing opinions. I've said for years, unless it's obvious deliberate, indirect free kick and not a penalty.

Maybe try and use his feet?

Distance the ball travel means definitely a pen for me..

There has probably been some evidence but I'm not convinced he's injured at all Wouldn't be surprised if he moved before the end of the month and plays straight away.

I wouldn't really call it lazy, I would say its just more a lack of football intelligence. Actually thought he was ok at moving the ball around on Saturday, I mean obviously offers nothing penetrating or creatively but he at least shown for the ball. We must have some of the worst players in the history of the game when facing their own goal and running backwards. Soumare, Vestergaard, Justin, Choudhury are awful when they are turned.
