Agreed. Not exactly hopeful if Martin appointment confirmed but will give him a chance to surprise me. Perhaps he can learn from the negatives at Soton

Another bit of joy south of the river -

Thank goodness the season is over -
Northampton went up and down in a very quick sequence
-
Northampton in the 60s rise and fall must be up there
-
Yes. My neck of the woods has lots of Spurs fans. I know a couple of good lads very knowledgeable Spurs fans that were very complimentary about us when we were good
-
Yes. Palace won't care at all. Certainly not overshadowed.
-
Man U should have kept RvN
-
This is it. Remember how you felt when you realised when the League and Cup were won. You see other clubs win these things and we didn't then we did and Vardy was at the heart of it
-
Would you believe in ww1 there were VC winners called Veale, Sage and Onions
-
OK when it was 39 steps at old Wembley rather than climbing out of sight higher up
-
Yes. US would be OK, even Celtic
-
Nice to know Jamie has now scored one more Premier League goal than Van Persie
-
So good to see the county doing well
-
Lovely stuff
-
Yes he was there

Imagine 2012 and saying this. This player from non league at 25 will play 500 games, score 200 goals, win the Premier League, FA Cup, Community Shield plus play for England as a Leicester player.

LCFC 2-0 Ipswich, post-match thread

Yes. All those left or in Gordon's case let go far too early to further their careers. Jamie is the opposite. Came here fairly late and changed everything for all Leicester supporters. -
Thank you Jamie Vardy. 200 hundred goals. The stats to put him on the podium of our top scorers with the 2 Arthurs from previous eras is amazing.
-
All we have to do is separate the disastrous season and the ongoing issues just for today and say a fond farewell and thank you to a player so central to honours that the club had never achieved before.
-
Even stumbling on a moment of this confirms for me that the show was better in the Katie Boyle years
-
Great when a club with long suffering loyal fans finally win a big trophy. After decades when we won nothing I still reflect that despite all the cock ups before and since we have the full set of major domestic honours. Well done to Palace today
-
Interesting Palace are billed and bill themselves as The South London club. Bit nearer the river still probably Chelsea and Fulham territory even if you have to cross the river from places like Wandsworth etc
