  1. Mind the left wing love a flag or two just not the Union flag.
  2. Yes. Can you imagine if England fans were causing trouble at a match abroad and the press described them as British fans!
  3. I like the spring months particularly April and May before the summer months ratchet up the temperatures and humidity. Autumn can be OK before the really short days.
  4. I know we are all fed up and worried about the direction of the club etc. It does though seem a new thread has to opened simply to give even more negativity and despondent vibes for the sake of it
  5. Some truth in this. The UK has rarely had a large standing army in peacetime.
  6. As opposed to riff raff who don't know how to behave
  7. Problem is the riff raff don't know they are riff raff
  8. Just an ordinary working class bloke I still get depressed when coming across riff raff
  9. Seen a few using the bee hotel and blocking entrance with leaf. Great to see.
  10. Not flown since 1980 and no inclination to do so again
  11. Was playing in garden with grandson. He throws ball I think I can catch it, slip and fall against own elbow into ribs. Nothing broken just bruised but bloody uncomfortable especially when lying down trying to sleep. Cricket matches with grandson cancelled for the summer. Hence the phrase 'silly old sod'
  12. As an old bloke full time managers that were ex players for us apart from Kelly were McLintock ( very good player but awful as manager) and Matt Gilles.
  13. Putting aside Wellens is a former Leicester player what about other candidates from League One. For example Dave Challinor doing a very good job at Stockport
  14. I think there is fixation that because youth players are doing well in their matches that they can automatically do so for the first team and the team will be exciting and successful. Dyche was tasked with getting Burnley promoted and fighting above their weight to stay up. If he had players that could make the step up why wouldn't he have used them? It's all very well taking a long term view but we all know the pressure to pick up points and to compete
  15. Still takes the gloss off for me
  16. The jewel is becoming rather jaded. I certainly won't pay these prices. Glad we completed domestic football before the edifice eats itself
  17. I've always thought this was wrong even when we benefitted. Is rather akin to letting clubs bypass the 3rd round of the FA Cup
  18. Will degrade the competition though.
  19. Adam Adamant lives!
  20. Would have snapped up 51 year old Thomas Frank if we were in that market
  21. I know we are excited by the prospect of more academy players stepping up but it it not a bit fanciful to imagine 3 or 4 will immediately be at the core of the team if only we got a manager that values younger players over another manager. We know Man U famously won with "the kids" but they had a backbone of classy experienced pros. We are going to be involved in the Championship dog fight and need to get results quickly especially if we get a points deduction.
  22. I would retain all the clubs that qualify for Europe otherwise you further devalue the League Cup. My beef is that by giving them free passage to the 3rd round it makes it easier passage to win the LC. The clubs have big enough squads and anyway play some fringe players if they are that bothered.
  23. Yep. More nonsense to benefit the bigger clubs when not required
  24. I think you are in the correct thread
  25. Great film. Apparently the two lead actors swapped roles
