Foxes Trust – LCFC Accounts Statement
OriginalRobboFOX replied to Foxes_Trust's topic in Leicester City Forum
If I’d just joined up on the back of all the noise in the media regarding our financial position and it being the “right thing to do” I’d be asking for my tenner back. Weak, pathetic, pandering up to the club to ensure they continue to get a 24hr lead on info before anyone else. Pitiful. -
Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'
OriginalRobboFOX replied to ClaphamFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
But didn’t we agree payment in instalments over a prolonged amount of time and then leverage the instalments for cash monies so we could spend? That will affect the bottom line I’m sure… -
They are sometimes 2 days before but not heard anything and nothing on website 🤷🏼♂️
-
Was there no presser yesterday??
-
Or it could ease FFP pain if an offer comes in for him close season as a “pure profit” sale.
-
It’s time for some perspective. Had anyone given me even a 3 point lead at the top of the table at this stage pre-season I’d have been bowled over. We are 7 points clear. We look destined to wrap up promotion earlier than the most optimistic Leicester fan could have imagined. Enzo has my complete support - he’s worked wonders on this team, cut some deadwood, continues to work on the squad and build up confidence after that horrible 6 month downfall overseen by Brendan. If you’re doubting him take a step back, breathe, give yourself a shake and take comfort that we will be done and dusted come April whether that’s with Ricky in centre mid, McAteer out wide, or Yunus drafted in off the bench. In Enzo we trust. 🦊🦊
-
Yep Thomas is a great example. Some people have suggested Enzo isn’t or wasn’t aware of the clubs financial status but this doesn’t wash for me. I wouldn’t leave a huge club and take on a job of this size without researching and understanding all aspects of the club from top to bottom. With that in mind I wonder if his remit was to achieve promotion whilst blooding some youngsters in the process in the hope we could cash in on them to ease FFP concerns ala McAteer, Wanya, Nelson, Maswinhise and shift on anyone you can Thomas, Iverson etc. Once Alves and Braybrooke are fit I fully expect him to put them ahead of your Praets, Albrightons of this world and if we can make a buck on any of the graduates in July/Aug then it’s a success in the eyes of the board. Selling graduates is a quick way out of FFP troubles but also undermines loads of work to secure the longevity of the team seeing these youngsters sold on.
-
The McAteer links with PL teams have surprised me but it checks out - if we sell him ANY money received is pure bottom line when it comes to FFP given that he’s an ac/graduate. It eases our FFP and we have semi credible replacements on the bench in Wanya and Maswhinise… welcome Sensi.

What’s the lyrics to the Ricardo song… I know it’s from “you’re in love with a psycho”
-
“Online” how ironic The club is soooo bad when it comes to online engagement - the socials, the website, the ticket office. All horrific.

It’s not March 2000

You still have these available??

Stoke City (h) pre match thread
OriginalRobboFOX replied to Happy Fox's topic in Leicester City Forum
A lot of talk about potential changes in this thread. Some talking of Albrighton, Casedei etc starting. I seriously cannot see this. Last fixture before a break I’m sure the only players pushing Weds XI are Vesty, and poss. Kel. Beyond that I can’t see any other changes… Hopefully 3pts and a relaxed international break for some of the squad. -
3 tickets for QPR desperately required! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

The "do they mean us?" thread pt 4

IIRC they spent £13m on Oliver Burke, same on Chadli, and Karlen Grant too. They also spent £15m on Rondon… all those deals at the time represented big money. Had they spent that money better who knows where they may have been… a really poorly run club. Probably now 4th behind Villa, Wolves, and Brum which is mad when you consider the state Brum are in 😳 -

My bad. Either way he looked exposed. Like he did against Cov when Stephy decided tracking back was optional… -

I don’t understand why we don’t see JJ in place of Doyle. He can play LB and CB and seems perfect for that role where he has to become 3rd CB when Ricky goes into midfield. I would have expected to have seen Enzo try this in a league game by now having watched Doyle’s up and down performances… That said Doyle has the mitigation of having to deal with Yunus in that 1st half against Hull and he was doggo. -
So, Players for the Championship rebuild, who do you want?

Looks like it’s not an “if” as we aren’t listed as a partner club on the EFL website. we are one of the 32 outsiders. 40 clubs for the 2023/24 season will use the EFL's iFollow platform to give access to games, while the remaining 32 Clubs will use their own platforms.

It will really irk me if we don’t command OTT money from suitors such as WHam especially when that happened with us after the sale of Kante and DD, Mahrez, Mags, and Chilwell… Learn from this Rudders…

Why did you say it out loud 😫😫

“Terrible Job” I’m not sure if people remember life under the stewardship of people like George, Elsom, Pierpoint, Mansaric etc. they appointed presided over managers such as Taylor, Levein, Holloway et al and saw us through some of the darkest times we have ever seen. “Terrible Job” is such a hyped phrase to describe Tops stewardship of our club amongst his other business interests in a remarkably difficult economy currently. He has loads of considerations around FFP which is beyond his control - we can never offset losses the way big 6 teams do and unfortunately decisions to retain management with the clubs finances and stability in consideration versus results in my opinion are beyond his control.
