FA Cup: Chelsea (A) 4-2 Post-Match Thread

Don't disagree on the striker situation, but imho its harsh to hold much on the 2 headed chances for Daka. Pressing the opposition is certainly not standard though! -

I'll bite. Nacho has been shite this season and provides the pressing capabilities of my nan. It's a concern the goal contributions have dried up in the last few games, but even so, today Daka pressed their defence and keeper into a number of mistakes. I thought his control when he came in deep was largely good. 2 header chances today I would like to have seen him do better, but he hardly had a tonne of chances come his way. I don't see Nacho being a transformative option today. -
Ragrdless - Sterlings free kick was a moment of beauty.

Thought we did well, especially in the 2nd half, and 4-2 flatters them. Great goal from Stephy. Thought it might have been written for us when the penalty was overturned but we really struggled with 10. Some time off now for the players and hopefully the fans whos heads are shot more than the players. -
It probably won’t be, but he’s a good keeper and the passing will get better the more he plays.

Don't agree. Jakub deserves his start.

I meant calendar year (late last year).

I don't understand why people think we have the best squad with our midfield in the state it is. All fit, its ok, but Ndidi hasn't been able to perform at the levels he reached last year (understandably), KDH has been way off it, there is no rotation available and very little creativity and flair. I would go as far as to say our midfield is pretty disappointing at this level.

Leeds will beat Millwall today and most likely by more than 1. I've been mentally prepared for a while that go go 2nd today, but it doesn't change anything. Got to do our job from here on in.

Man U, Brighton and Villa next. PL can be a horrible place when you are out of form. If some of those below them could start winning they would be in a real mess, but Everton and Forest are just as hopeless and Luton have forgotten how to win. Didn't realise how bad things had gotten with Everton. Last win was 16th December (Burnley). Had a shocker since then.

Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'
Chelmofox replied to ClaphamFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
We've already seen Italian cup games played in Saudi Arabia. Although we've not seen it happen here yet would you imagine Liverpool or Man U would turn down a big money offer to play a future Carabou cup or FA cup over there too. They could easily use the excuse that cup attendances are down making it more economical to host it somewhere else. Personally, once league or cup games are played away from club grounds (or national stadiums for final cup rounds) the sport has lost that link with its origins. -

This drives me nuts. I have friends that were Man U fans in the early / mid 90's that now support either Liverpool or Man City. I have a girl i dated at Uni who would constantly go on and on and on about Man Utd and it was a huge family thing that they supported them. Her Facebook is full her going to all the Man City games. Some Spanish colleagues of mine do the support a local team and one of the big 2 thing. I presume the big 6 think this will end up happening in the UK where local people will support Leicester in the PL and one of the big 6 in the Super League because we will never be able to get there. For my generation, its never going to happen, but for my sons generation where some of his mates support players instead of clubs, its a real possibility. -
You presume the club would taken the splurge knowing full well we would breach anyway regardless if we had stayed up?

Forum wouldn't be the same without you mate. Hope you managed to have a great birthday.

But how are they going to get the T-Shirt Cannons to fire at the back of the new stand! It's a logistical nightmare. -
Probably - i have absolutely no idea. Just wanted to contribute positively to the thread.

I hope we won't be asking that anymore once we see the fees we could get for Nelson, Alves and Braybrooke (after they have given is a few seasons of great service!). -
Who do you want for next season in the PL
Chelmofox replied to Fightforever's topic in Transfer Talk
It also coincided with Fofanas injury and thus the panic buying of Vesty and putting Betrand (remember him ) on a stupid contract. All of those signings (inc the free) provided next to no value for us in the PL. Does make you think if the Fofana injury hadn't happened how things would have panned out. -
6 wins, a draw and 2 defeats for me. 101 points.

Why aren't we making actual substitutions in games?
Chelmofox replied to LFox99's topic in Leicester City Forum
The Leeds game says hi (not Marcal - but same point). Once the weaker player came on (McAteer) Leeds didn't need to double up on that side anymore and we lost Mavididi's defensive quality. Mavadidi and Fatawu are offering more than wing pace these days. I love the 4 number being some sort of definitive performance stat, as in how the game is going and what you have available has no bearing. His 'outburst'? Was there some sort of Keeganesq moment I missed? I believe the actual interview was at the end of Jan when we were winning and was before the Stoke game. -
When did Newcastle become so bad.

No - and im a million miles away from being an expert so should just stop commenting on it. A poster said they just found out the rules were due to change in the summer. I thought this was always the case but for future financial periods. -
