  1. Monga a monster. Braybrooke a little disappointing.
  2. Nah, unless there is someone out there they really think can keep us up, we should be preparing candidates who can get a good preseason in them. Bringing in someone who is going to lose every game is gonna lose the fans before the end of the season.
  3. Love Riccy, but did we really push for a goal when he came on?
  4. Does he stick with a back 5 or revert back to 4-3-3? I don't think he was comfortable with the system change although it kept Chelsea out for the best part. i expect him to go back and for Ayew to return.
  5. This will be the number 1 priority in any appointment. I don't think anything will help is diverge from the thought that we must be the Man City of the Midlands.
  6. Problem is the analysis largely tells people what to think. Easier to explain why the big 6 are the best and they can focus their analysis on their star players, picking that one moment of 'magic' when they likely dross for the rest of the game. Just show as much of the games as possible.
  7. Depends if they strengthen when (if - would love them to be in the playoffs again) promoted. We weakend, and bought duds. If they keep the better part of the squad and recruit they might be ok.
  8. Id like to play for the club, especially on his wages. I could start against Man U if they like.
  9. He changed it. Wasn't worse. That is all.
  10. Thought Mads penalty save could be the turning point of the season. Nah.
  11. Enjoy. West Ham away was my first away game. Was a miserable match but met some great people at the game and on the way home. I'd be envious of you if you get to see us score!
  12. Easy solution. Just bench him for 3 games. After that he will be perceived solution to all their problems.
  13. Sorry - thats stupid. He should be in the 1st team squad on merit. Clauses like this achieve nothing. Say he has a drop in developmental form next year, or an injury which sets him back a little.
  14. Alves wasn’t ready. I think Nelson was very close but with a lot of cb options I think the loan was the right choice. Let’s not reinvent history. Jakub was injured. If fit Ward got nowhere near the team.
  15. Not funny, but Life Is a Rollercoaster is the best description of the club.
  16. Going out on loan isn't being 'shunned'. Has Stolarcyk not proven himself at this level already and destined to become out number 1 when Hermansen leaves? Alves and Nelson are now at the right developmental loans and if continue as they are, should feature in our first team.
  17. I always felt Owen's and Rooney's long term careers were impacted by hitting the scene so early. But this kid is 15. It really hits home in Ruuds press conference when he talks fitting in sessions around his schooling. The vultures are circling around him, and on this forum we talk about 'chucking him' in the first team because, well - you might as well. But our club at the moment are the ones who have to actually manage him, consider his duty of care, actually plan that path way. I find the way a lot of us talk about him a bit sad really. At the end of the day im resigned that there is nothing we can do. Our fans are being exceptionally critical of our club but at the end of the day our facilities and our setup have shaped him to what he is now. In my industry, this would be like Google or Amazon coming for you if you were a junior. It would be so difficult to turn down and at a young age he is going to experience success at many levels (Prem, Cups, Champions League etc ) that he isn't going to get here.
  18. Wonder if he pleaded not to be paid as well.
  19. i would presume both sets of stats aren't great.
  20. I presume the being shit bit wasn't important. 1st half sounds like we were shit and not following orders. 2nd half seemed like they were doing what they were told, even though we were still shit. I suppose the thinking was that if they were doing what they were told in the 1st half then it would be likely the 2 goals wouldn't happen. Then we are still in the game, maybe a draw, maybe get a bit on confidence drive and actually try something. Doubtful. What none of this takes into consideration is that West Ham treated the 2nd half like a training session.
  21. I don't know anymore! Is this a good thing? It Riccy the missing piece of a master plan that will just slot into place? Or will be just bench him because he doesnt have the pace anymore?
  22. Of all the PL teams out there, we should know best how to play Enzo ball. Flood the midfield, pack and be solid at the back, double up the wingers. Let them have lots of possession but give them no room. Then, if you win the ball, play it long to where the inverting fullback is now missing and get someone with pace to charge it down. You'll get a few of these chances at the right time, so lots of shooting practice from that side - be clinical. Sadly, our senior players will love Enzo ball too much to counter it like this, and Ruud will play 4-3-3 with no pace up front. But hey, winning tactically is not the point right! Look forward to looking good for 5 mins and having a shot.
