  1. They were never going to win it anyway. It will be interesting to see what happens next. Thats a hell of a defeat. To put in context we haven’t had such a heavy defeat this season and we are just awful. Not to say we won’t before the season is done by the way. That sort of defeat could cause an absolute spiral given they seem to have just been cruising by on confidence and momentum more so than ability. If they bounce back next week fair play to them. It’ll probably be obviously fairly quickly the direction the rest of the season takes for them.
  2. To be fair, not that they are the same style in any way of forward, but we bumped Wood out the club whilst we had Okazaki. Is Aina a better player than Simpson? Again maybe different players, I haven’t seen much of Aina but I think he is more forward thinking. But both were kind of journeymen full backs who didn’t make it at big clubs but had success a level down and are/were solid PL players.
  3. Been saying it for weeks but if we go down and are looking for a young, up and coming manager who is on the right trajectory, plays the way many like and is used to working without the riches of the EPL, Richy Wellens would be a shout.
  4. I’m not sure how book value BS works part way through the season but £23,000,000 over 5 years is £4,600,000 per year. Presumably until the summer he’d have £9,200,000 left. Given people were happy with the tiniest bit of PSR profit from Cannon I guess anything £12,000,000 would be fine.
  5. Not sure how it has become political and about race but on the case itself, that is a joke of a sentence. I get that it’s unlikely he’d get out, whether he dies inside in that 52 years or if he just isn’t released then and it is a minimum. But, that should have been a whole life order sentence. It shouldn’t be x number of years however high. There shouldn’t even be the possibility that he walks free however far in the future. This wasn’t some head case having a breakdown and going on a spontaneous rampage. It was pre-meditated and planned. All the surrounding stuff about his past, the terrorist related things found in his house, his comments about being glad they died and even his contempt of court twice today show he is inherently evil. There is no chance this animal can be rehabilitated and if he walked free at 70, you’d not bet against him going straight out and doing it again. If that was my child involved, I’d be devastated at that sentence. I think it really trivialises the crimes. Shame on the judge.
  6. I didn’t have a problem with celebrating it. As you say, there are younger fans to consider, a number of players who weren’t involved in the failure like Fatawu, Hermansen, Winks, Mavididi etc who were key to last season and some like KDH who whilst around for the relegation, wasn’t in my view, complicit like others were and Vardy. And of course Enzo and his team. And the record number of second tier titles is a positive too. But for me, Top, Rudkin and any non playing/coaching staff should have been nowhere near it, not to mention all the Thai lot.
  7. I looked at Sheffield United last season. They realised they needed to think ahead to the next season well before the end of the season. Granted points wise they were probably considered to be gone much sooner than we will be. Either way, they looked ahead and started putting their young players such as Arblaster, Brooks and Peck in the side. Those players then have become key to them this season whilst they are fighting at the top end of the league. This season, partly due to injuries to first teamers, they have also been involving more of their academy players. It just shows how important forward planning is. We will keep doing what we are doing and be left with a massive job in the summer rather than starting that process now.
  8. Absolutely. Milan Mandaric ‘saved’ and stabilised the club even if we dipped in the short term. We had Pearson and his team in place and were on the way up. KP actually set us back in the short term by getting rid of them.
  9. There’s 5 reasons we got good at all. 1. Pearson 2. Shakey 3. Walsh 4. Puel 5. Macia Nothing to do with those above.
  10. Embarrassing. There’s a lot of things to dislike about our club right now but much of the fan base is right up there. Absolutely pits. The irony is, barely any of them were probably there at our lowest point. Were bestest fans Dave and Sonia from FB there when we played Dagenham & Redbridge and Stevenage in the FA Cup 1st and 2nd rounds in front of less than 8000? Of course not. Were they there when we were hosting the likes of Cheltenham and Hereford? Nope of course not. Because to them, there is no Leicester, only KP. They were not there before KP.
  11. He did sign a 4 year deal, in 2019 after the loan and left in 2023?
  12. I don’t agree with getting on the backs of mangers and players (generally with a few exceptions like Rodgers). But that isn’t the debate here is it. It is about the regime, the board, those running the club. I would hope it is obvious to the players and manager when the atmosphere turning is against the above. You can protest whilst still getting behind the team. Other clubs have and will do just that. What is worse for the club, is that 90% odd of those in the stadium on a match day are sterile and whilst they might not be negative, they also do nothing to get behind the the team and manager.
  13. Maybe if you don’t want to be judged and got at, you should also back off with the aggressive attitude towards others? You stated that if people want to be unhappy, they should stay at home. How does that help? Not everybody is demanding for everyone to be booted out and rack up costs. People just want there to be standards at the club at which there currently are none. What exactly is your expectation of fans at the ground? How do you think the fan base should express their feelings and demand that the constant mistakes being made are rectified? You say people aren’t coming up with solutions etc. You’re saying you’re not happy either but we shouldn’t moan. So it doesn’t sound like you have a solution either to be honest.
  14. I wouldn’t need to judge you as a person just to see from that one post, that you are saying that there should be 30,000 people clapping politely and refusing to question the failures of the club whilst we are on a slide. When is a suitable time to be unhappy for you? League 1? League 2? Just wondering how far Top is aloud to let us fall in your view? What we should be is a club that respects the fanbase, that appreciates its place in the football pyramid but makes smart choices around recruitment and have a squad of players and manager who show some fight and desire, qualities most of us will have been brought up expecting from Leicester sides over the years. Also using the youth system to bring local kids through. It’s not about being top 6 or top half or even a constant in the Premier League. It’s about having pride in the club. I had pride in the club when we were in League 1. Now though, there is nothing to be proud about. We are an embarrassment.
  15. It won’t affect the ability to let players leave but I get your point was about whether we would have to keep some of there is an inability to replace or we could end up without a squad. Perhaps at that point they’d need to drop it? An embargo is useless anyway. If it is about sustainability (which it isn’t), the way to get the club in order is to sell and replace, making profit in terms of transfer fees and also bringing the wage bill down. An embargo and the scenario you highlight about keeping those we would sell on high wages, actually prevents us getting in line and increases the chance of breaching again. Due to our incompetence, they’d be better off just ratifying our transfer business!
  16. May as well leave him in place now but if the right guy like Rohl was available, get him in for next season on the understanding that the remainder of this season is just to see what he needs and prepare for next season.
  17. It does seem to be said a lot that Rudkin has Top’s ear more so than Whelan. Your correct that it should be Owner > CEO > DoF but I’m not sure KP are following that dynamic. It’s seems Rudkin has an unusual amount of power.
  18. And there go Everton into the distance….
  19. Nail.on.head Been saying it for weeks but it is classed as negative. I’d say it’s realistic and forward planning. Relegation itself doesn’t have to be the end of the club. But continuing the mistakes we have been making the last few years could (by end of club I don’t mean literally but as we have known it in the last decade).
  20. I asked it on the other thread (protest thread) and it was immediately removed surprise surprise. But what right have the club got to interfere with a forum like this? Unless I’m mistaken, it is a private owned site and is just people expressing opinions. It’s a really poor look that they are interfering and preventing free speech.
  21. Have you actually watched Souttar much? He is pretty good on the ball. I have watched a bit of Sheffield United and not seen this as a weakness. I also have mates who are big Blades fans and they love him and also say it’s an unfair assumption that he is poor on the ball. Pace wise although he is not fast, he is quicker than Coady and Vestergaard. Injuries aside as they will be key to have both come back but of all at our disposal, I’d be having a Souttar/Nelson partnership. Nelson probably covers Souttar weakness and I feel they could compliment each other. The only question would be, between them, leadership. You’d expect this from Souttar as the senior players but I don’t know either way on how he is there.
  22. Louis Barry going to Celtic. Would have been a good signing…
  23. This is part of the fun 😉
  24. Danny Rohl, done a great job at Wednesday with a very similar owner. Whether he’d want the gig or is looking at better opportunities is the unknown. As I have said a couple of times, Richy Wellens interests me. Young, good football. Took Orient from low in League 2, then won the league and now pushing the playoffs in League 1. I get a good feeling about his potential. He has done the hard yards.
  25. This is true, particularly of Villa. I suppose that comes under what I said about I’d have expected more despite this. A lot was made of Villa being without a few and Man City were in an atrocious run. I’m not sure of the situations of the likes of Wolves and Palace. Wolves seemed full strength even with the player who should have been banned. But yeah, this is all why it’s not been that good.
