  1. It’s absolutely the least effective at either end of the pitch so I’d say that qualifies as the worst. Can’t create chances, generally concede 2 per game…there’s not even any signs from performances that we are close to picking up more points!
  2. I posted something similar earlier. We know how the narrative will be spun so trying to gain some control of that back without seeming bitter. Something like the club has to dial back to retain sustainability after heavy backing of the manager in previous windows. Due to this the club have decided it is necessary to bring in a new face who is able to work with the squad available for the season. That seems fair and not resorting to his leave but reiterates to national media the financial situation, the fact he has been back for those with memories longer than a goldfish and the fact he has refused to work with the squad as it is.
  3. I wouldn’t go that far, I’d give the taxi fare for him to get there but even Birmingham is too far to spend in a car with someone like him!
  4. He’s like a broken record, can he speak without throwing that dig in there. He’s basically suggesting the boos are for the board which is f***ing disrespectful again. The crowd need to be clear through what is sung/banner (not a fan of this in general but given how he is deflecting). Needs to be to a point he can’t deflect any more!
  5. Passes 3rd….Rodgers will be delighted with this successful start to the season!
  6. Too true, never liked the abuse Puel got. It would be interesting to know if those most vocal about Puel out are Rodgers in people! Puel may not have got things going on the pitch although it is no worst than what we have seen for the last year or so. As a person he was an absolute class act compared to Rodgers and as you say, left the club in a stronger position than he found it whereas Rodgers has destroyed everything. Next manager needs to be a ‘builder’ in the Pearson/Puel mould. The closest I can recall to Rodgers in terms of manager appointments is Sven. We do not need another Rodgers/Sven.
  7. Why not do the right thing and walk if you’ve been so badly let down you poisonous little goblin!! Fact are, Schmeichel for Ward and no Fofana given he missed most of last season anyway are not the difference between being a comfortable top half finishing side to rooted bottom! He cannot spin if any other way. Hopefully that is his last game but when he does go, the club need to make defend themselves in the statement that comes with it. Something along the lines of ‘as well as a huge drop in the level of performances and results on the pitch with the squad available, we have had to act due to Brendan questioning the principles of the club and bringing it into disrepute. We find ourselves in a difficult position but feel we need somebody who can work with the players within the club who have the quality to be much higher than current standings’. Probably wouldn’t ever go like this as it would be considered too controversial but would love to see it to publicly slam him (as that’s what he is constantly doing to the club, owners, players and fans). Would be good to stick it to him on his way out the door!
  8. Exactly, the squad he inherited needed fine tuning, the only real stand out position needed was a right sided forward/winger. The depth needed by getting into Europe needed to be a key player or two to replace first 11 members or young punts to involve gradually. Instead he has gone down the overpaid, wrong age and not capable of breaking into the 11 with no prospect of doing so option. From inheriting a side needing fine tuning/tweaking, it is now massively unbalanced, needing a huge rebuild and devoid of any confidence/mental strength. How can anyone defend him?
  9. He is wrong to challenge the club when the owners are trying to look after the long term view. All it shows is Rodgers doesn’t give a **** about the club and would happily put it at risk. Also it is clear he has been at the centre of ripping up all the work Pearson and Puel built in terms of behind the scenes and it is his man Congerton who oversaw the recruitment of the deadwood so by extension, yes that is his fault. He has been dining out off players signed by Puel and Pearson in the main.
  10. Hope to just stay up, would take 17th in a heartbeat now and have a rebuild with a new manager and with a lot of the deadwood gone next summer. Rebuild plans will go out the window in the event of relegation. It just doesn’t seem right to feel relegation is more likely now than when we were 7 points adrift in March 2015 but then we had a proper manager who created a siege mentality and adapted to the situation, not a self involved salesman who would rather chuck everyone under the bus and create a negative mentality instead!
  11. It’s just his negativity for me. He has sucked the soul out the club and the enthusiasm from the fans. Everything I see in terms of interviews and snips from the press are all negative and woe is me. Even this evening I’m seeing him moaning about not having much of the Fofana money to spend. It’s the first excitement all summer with some solid links and he is p***ing on it. Can we blame some of the players for wanting to leave. If my manager was as miserable, negative and self promoting as this t*** I’d be looking for a new job. I don’t know how they can bear to work under him!
  12. Got to appreciate the irony of Rodgers comments a few months ago about us being happy just to stay in the league. I mean that hasn’t been the case since 2014/15 but suddenly now he has turned us into that…. We can only hope the board and Top do not take an arrogant view that we’ll be ‘too good to go down’ as that is head in the sand behaviour! It has to be clear to all now that even thought you can appreciate the FA cup and 5th place finishes, and even if you think BR will do well elsewhere (which he probably will), that he he stays, we are only going one way whether that’s this year or next.
