  1. That’s true, I imagine pretty much every other club would have respected anything such as a silence and national anthem but Liverpool fans like the attention and to be seen as ‘edgy’ so would no doubt have acted in a disrespectful and controversial way.
  2. It does seem like a bad decision and made for PR points not through genuine sentiment or respect from the football authorities. Surely the solution would have been to play the national anthem, do a silence or applause (the latter is a much better used method of respect in recent years drowning out twats) and even armbands. That would show a lot more ‘respect’. On a Leicester level though, it’s the best result we’d get this weekend!
  3. Reading your comment about the attendance, made me think all the people who said they wouldn’t go to vote with their feet. BR, if asked, would give this as the excuse for that wouldn’t he!
  4. Can’t lose if you don’t play 1D1AB83F-A08A-45A4-AFD0-5CB4397859EF.webp
  5. I don’t want him in charge as he is a twat and has burnt bridges with the fans particularly. If he suddenly had the ability to turn it around, of course that’d be good. We’d get out of trouble at the bottom and we’d still not likely have him around long term, he may move on our leave at the end of the season but we’d be more attractive to a new manager and players. It’s clear he neither wants to nor is capable of turning it around so making our feelings known and trying to speed up his departure is best for the club.
  6. This is true, we have already trialed quite a few things; Going 2-0 up at home to a team expected for second season syndrome Going 1-0 up into the second half at home to a perennial struggler and managing to lose Going behind, whether by a goal or two and shown there is no stomach to come back Playing an under par 10 men, managing to concede twice Its at the point where it’s difficult to see where a win would come from under BR. To cover the shit defence you’d have to say 4-0 up to feel confident but unlike in his early days, if we go 1-0 up he goes all defensive. Somehow against Brentford it was 2-0 but BR will not allow us to get into a position where we are 3-0 or 4-0 up which means we will drop points due to the defence…
  7. Also right about confidence being through the floor but completely missed base on why that is. The rest of it about BR being able to turn it round, he likes to ‘win’ games is pure BS.
  8. I think he gets too much credit for the FA cup to be fair. Where I’ll give him credit is the strong sides throughout so taking it seriously. It was no masterclass though. We got to the final due to some individual magic from Iheanacho, the guy Rodgers can’t drop quickly enough at any opportunity. In the final he did his normal go defensive and hope for the best tactic. I said to my wife when Big Wes came on, if we don’t hold on in normal time we are stuffed as all our attacking threat has been taken off. I understand why he’d do it on that occasion but a tight VAR call going the other way we were not going to win that had it gone to extra time.
  9. To be fair that’s got as much basis as the ‘we’re too good to go down’ people. It’s head in the sand stuff. There’s literally zero sign of anything turning around. Each game he is not sacked is a game less for someone new and as put by someone else, pushes up the win% needed for whoever is next. It seems the board also have the view things will suddenly just be ok or think we will just repeat the great escape of 2015. It’s very naiive.
  10. Hopefully this is the reason he has been left in post a couple of weeks longer than he should (in the context of the season since they decided not to part ways before the season). You get two types of sacking, reactionary where there is a wait to appoint a replacement as it hasn’t been thought through and after a swift replacement where the club in question has clearly been working behind the scenes. Surely this would be the latter given the need for him to go has hardly come out the blue!
  11. Absolutely this, if/when he is sacked, they can make a statement that doesn’t sound bitter or childish but makes the point that his conduct was unacceptable and we need somebody with a positive attitude to help us climb the table.
  12. I was just thinking about this. If the club were to sink to BRs level the equivalent would be a statement to fans saying ‘look guys, we want a new manager too, we know he’s not good enough but we haven’t got the finances at this moment so we just need to stick with it a bit longer’. Would be really funny in a way if they did but they have higher standards.
  13. Alan Smith - The coach is too talented not to turn it around for my old club Could he be any more out of touch/un-informed
  14. And Amartey for Tielemans . Must hold on to the 2 goal defeat at any costs!
  15. I’m not angry at Ndidi, he’s being played out of position and hung out to dry by this so called elite manager (). And he’s not the only one. There’s been some positive signs today that bringing a new manager in could get them back confident and getting results.
  16. Is it bad I just sat and laughed when the ref pointed to the spot….like incredulous laugh, disbelief
  17. After what they got away with in the same fixture last season **** ‘em!
  18. Madders Defence parted like the red see. Game over.
  19. What the hell are Justin, Thomas and Ward doing! None of them should be in the team, one of the full backs would have to be but where are Iverson and Castagne! Feel really for the attackers, that was a lovely goal by Daka and Iheanacho, we don’t have height so cut back along the floor, great stuff. Immediately let down by the defence!
  20. And Amartey, Justin and Thomas have been putting in world class performances yeah? Don’t get me wrong I have a lot of time for the latter two there but that post is BS. All 3 in your post would add something to the lines ups and performances we have been seeing.
  21. We just aren’t going to get anything with that defence. It’s poor but it’s about the only defenders left that haven’t been alienated by Brent (Ricardo injury aside). Even though Faes is VISA issues today, if he is a signing the club has insisted on, does anyone really think Rodgers is going to play him?
  22. I think if it was literally a case of a guarantee that a loss today would 100% see the back of him I’d reluctantly take that deal (for the greater good of the future of the club). We have no idea what Top/Ruskin/Susan are actually thinking so I can’t want us to actively lose as it could be the same next week and the one after. Clearly wouldn’t go on indefinitely but maybe too late to rescue the season.
  23. What a short sighted view by Simpson. There may be comparisons on the pitch but we weee never this bad under Puel (rooted at the bottom) and equally the long term prognosis was never as bleak as despite his faults, Puel was building a strong team whereas the toxic midget is pulling it all apart at the seams. Danny needs to get off his high horse and be in touch with the fans if he is going to comment!
  24. I don’t think there is anything that will change my mind on him. He has well and truly shown his colours as a manager being capable of adapting and as a man, more importantly. It is all so predicable, possession for the sake of it, today will likely follow the pattern of going 2-0 down through abject defending. We probably then get a consolation and huff and puff around a bit and he will say he well we fought when the reality will be that Brighton know the game is won and ease off. Genuinely don’t think I can watch it. There’s some painting needs doing in for the nursery (baby on the way) so quite literally, watching paint dry seems more appealing right now!! More likely will end up watching a bit, getting pissed off and switching off…
  25. He’d probably do well initially with the squad he inherited if he goes there, it’s he MO. The problem we have caused ourselves is giving him a long contract and too much control. Give him a two year contract and cut him loose after that they’d probably be well off. Unless this experience with us has mentally destroyed him. He bounced back from a low after Liverpool by going to the SPL and was riding a wave there when coming to us. Not sure how he’d do going from us to another EPL side on a low…
