Normally I would want the underdog to win but can’t be wanting Cov to win. Hopefully they still have a good result in them against Ipswich but lose today and miss the playoffs sounds good!

To be fair, despite the number of chances WBA had, after they did score, I thought there’d be an onslaught and we’d cave but they didn’t even threaten after that. So I’d say we saw the game out very comfortably despite what had happened earlier.

Hopefully they beat Cov next week, Huddersfield and Birmingham play each other, a draw in that and either can catch Blackburn on the last day if they beat Cov!

When I referred to other stats, I was referring more to basic, shots on target. Say you have 10 shots on target but 4 are in the same move, 3 might not have happened if the first went in. I can’t say I pay much attention to xG but interesting to know anyway 👍

This is true. I often think this with other examples when they are side i.e if a striker misses two sitters in the same move or two quality saves in the same move by a goalkeeper. I suppose it is the same for other stats I.e 2 shots on target but if the first goes in the second won’t happen. But yes, in terms of context, call it equivalent to a brace at the other end. A case of people not appreciating that games can be won at the other end of the pitch still though!

Would you be surprised if a striker scored a hat trick and got positive post match comments? Because goal line clearances like that are equal to a goal at the other end so he effectively scored a hat trick for us! But your surprised people are being positive? Strange comment that!

Last minutes winners at home to Ipswich and Southampton in recent weeks and a win against Coventry in there! Cardiff

I actually thought up until the putting the ball in the net, West Brom were the best side I have seen down at the KP this season, superior to Leeds and Ipswich. They tore us apart for much of the game and it was a freak that they only had 1 goal to show for it. They looked fair solid at the back and limited us quite well and generally a tidy side. Very unfortunate for them today.

Was going to make this point. The crowd stepped up today. Top/Enzo etc can’t complain about that! Really nice to see the fans at the end together with the players and management. Felt for the first time in a while everyone was together.

Hamza in beast mode! He might not be the most technically efficient player and is definitely being asked to do a role that is a struggle for him, but he gets far too much abuse as he put his all in. Won us the game today with his heroics.

Well I really thought we had more to worry about after they scored but they never tested us after that. That said, absolutely lucky as hell to win that after the start and the tone it would have set if they’d took a couple of chances. But it’s not like we’ve had any fortune for a while so not going to feel bad about it!

Not that it’s happened before this season so a one off, but this ref has been absolutely in our favour!

We are far too open and zero control over this game. They will get more chances and now they have scored you would fancy them to be more clinical!
