  1. No booking for Senesi? Compared to Ricardo’s on Friday
  2. That wasn’t even designed to catch him out. I just looked out of interest and I was genuinely surprised as I was expecting to see a string of deadline day signings but the spread of timings is very similar for both sides really. Edit, also I did ask what the injuries they had during the games with us were as that was mentioned. Again, out of interest, not to catch him out as I thought both times they looked full strength but that wasn’t answered.
  3. My view towards the cup has been dictated by how the league is looking at the time it comes around. In terms of automatic promotion, we are looking as ropey as we have for many months. And on the back of two defeats. As others have said, if we had won these last couple and were going into this in good shape in the league, I’d be thinking a fairly strong side. Now…not worth it. And this point of 3 defeats, I’m not sure players who were not involved are going to be negatively affected if that what happens. Of course it’d be great to rest our key players and go through, this is not me saying I want us to be out the cup.
  4. I was thinking this. Were a lot of the goals we scored early in the season in the last 15 minutes not ‘point winning’ goals. I’m thinking a couple late on when already leading at Blackburn as an example. Whereas it seems apart form Birmingham and Millwall where they gave late scares but we still won, the late goals have all lost us 2/3 points, Wednesday away, Ipswich x 2, Coventry, Leeds, even Middlesbrough away was 83 mins or something.
  5. Ethan Ampadu - 19th July Joe Rodon - 10th August Joel Piroe - 22nd August Gruev - 31st August Kamara - 31st August Cannon - 1st September Fatawu - 31st August Casadei - 15th August Akgun - 26th August Mavididi - 31st July Yes we got Winks and in early but even Hermansen (18th July) is only a day before Ampadu. You'd think we had ours all in at the start of July and all theirs were on deadline day reading the posts!
  6. Does Wes Fofana even play still! Not seen his name in forever! Seeing the mention of Chilwell and Chelsea reminded me of his.

    Daka

The guy could have played every game, scored 30, assisted 20 etc and missed a couple of howlers and people would focus on those. Haters gonna hate. It was a bad miss but every other player seems to get a pass. Not a mention of Stephy’s for example? Our attack is so much better when he’s on. The staff should be working with him on his finishing as a bit more consistency and to cut out the odd howler and he’ll have the haters gritting their teeth seething!

    Daka

Great assist, got both defenders booked and had left the pitch with us winning. But yeah all his fault of course
  9. Definitely, well we’d have not lost both. We’d have a lot more of the points we have lost if Wilf could stay fit for longer than a few games at a time!
  10. This squad value thing means nothing. Our main starting 11 in 2015/16 cost us about £20mill. Players like Fuchs and Albrighton on frees. Vardy £1mill, Wes Morgan and Schmeichel £1mill. Kante £5.5 mill and Mahrez £400k. If you’re looking at the amounts players were signed for, it far from tells the story. We have some players we massively overspent on and you have put together a squad competing really well (albeit you probably spent quite a bit by League 1 standards I’d imagine) for a lot less. That doesn’t mean those players aren’t worth a lot more. Omari Hutchinson is on loan so technically goes down as competing nothing but looks a quality player for example. Not sure what the likes of Chaplin cost but again, far better players than the fees suggest. Own it. Take pride in it rather than going all Sean Dyche! I don’t think people should wish injuries on players. A cheeky suspension here or there yes. I think if you are being honest with yourself, you’d quite like to see that for us! To be fair though, you don’t need anything to derail us as we tend to do quite well at doing that ourselves at this time of year
  11. Go on then, who were you missing from both games as they look like pretty much strongest sides to be but I’ll stand corrected! As I say, (in my view) we clearly even in defeat showed we are better ability wise (and I’m a more pessimistic supporter). But you have some strengths we don’t seem to have and with the momentum and fixtures left, I’m pretty sure you’ll finish top and genuinely be able to say you were the best side.
  12. I’m not sure anyone in this top 4 is head and shoulders above one another anyway. 4 very strong teams. I maintain that Southampton for example, would be doing much better if they didn’t have Russel Martin in charge. Ipswich have some very good players as well. I think if you said simply that you think your 11 is similar to us that is probably fair. But talking an out August and coming across as playing victim hasn’t helped you is all I’m saying. As for the head to head games, don’t underestimate the fact Ndidi was not playing either time whilst you had your strongest 11 out. Absolute beast for us.
  13. This is a new one Of all the Ipswich fans who have joined this forum, most have been looking to justify the games against us by telling us you are not that jammy every week but have acknowledged that you were in the games against us. As others have said, clearly pens and red card missed and double deflected goals! I agree you have some serious mental fortitude to continually be gaining points so often after 90 minutes. But to suggest you were anything other than fortunate in the games against us is clearly wrong based on the views of your own fans alone!
  14. All I’m saying is I don’t know why you’re coming on a Leicester forum, trying to convince us all you’re better than us and not liking the response you’re getting! Everyone knows the season starts in August and the window is open. Regardless of circumstances, it’s not our problem you weren’t ready. There’s also no guarantee you’d have picked up more points in that time, you are making out like you’re guaranteed to have got full points. Injuries, AFCON, transfer windows are all factors. We have been a different side with Ndidi, pretty much won every game with him playing I think. He’s been missing around 3 months of the season. Vardy has had a couple of lengthy absences too. You don’t see us wanting to only count the games Ndidi played in do you? You have put out the same side week on week pretty much so it doesn’t appear you’ve had any injuries of note. You mentioned AFCON. We actually didn’t end up particularly affected there. Daka was a miss as he’d come into form but Cannon looked decent. Fatawu didn’t go but ended up suspended the first game after he’d have gone until he’d have been back anyway! Ndidi got injured for months so we’d have been better off if he had just gone to AFCON and came back! We also had Casadei called back from Chelsea so we are Ndidi and Casadei short in the centre of midfield and were unable to bring anybody else in. But again, we are dealing with it. I don’t buy the narrative we are miles better. I think from what I saw on Friday, we are probably a fair bit better ability wise. But I think your squad is tougher mentally. That turnaround wouldn’t have happened in reverse had we been 1-0 at the KP (well it didn’t when that was the case).
  15. Because we were in absolutely great shape coming down weren’t we! Can’t believe their fans are moaning because we actually proactively appointed our guy, got business out done promptly to get incomings done so we were somewhat ready for the season!
  16. You got a scrappy goal in a fairly even (and poor all round) game when we put in one of our worst performances. I have no idea if that night represented a top performance from your lot but there was nothing in it bad a scrappy set piece goal and a top save from Meilier!
  17. What I take from this is that if we do win the league and it’s by what, 7 points or less, Leeds will be having their own trophy lift and open top bus etc for the ‘we won the after August’ trophy?
  18. A Leeds supporting journalist by any chance? Im not saying we had loads of chances in the first half by the way. It was probably quite even in terms of balance of play. You came forward a few times and we defended solidly in those situations. We never looked like conceding until we did on 80 minutes though.
  19. I am honestly racking my brain as to these chances in the first half you had… I have looked back at extended highlights which show nothing from Leeds first half which is how I remembered it. Yes you had a good 10/15 minutes at the end and importantly like you say, took your chances which we didn’t. But you seems to be rewriting history with that first half!
  20. In a word, yes. But in seriously, I think it is. Look at the likes of Vertegaard, Ndidi and even Daka, have improved and look nothing like under Rodgers. Is this because they have taken responsibility or because they were in the right place at the right time to be favoured by Maresca? If Thomas was in a position used by Enzo, things may have been different for him. He has made bad choices definitely, but your post doesn’t acknowledge the toll on him mentally. They aren’t robots! The fan base also takes a share of responsibility for me. As much as Chilwell is a bit of a knob, look at how he developed as a player when he got out from under our fans. He should have made better decisions for his career and got out a while ago.
  21. Ipswich fans also seem to have accepted Leeds are up based on momentum and fixtures left and have their sights set on us!
  22. ‘Found out’ insinuates teams working out how to play you and nullifying your threats and poor performances. As others have said, we shredded them for 75 odd minutes. There's definitely an issue with not putting away chances and throwing games away late on having not taken our chances. I’m nervous as hell about this lead now and far from in the ‘it’s fine because we should have won’ group. End of the day, coulda, shoulda, woulda. If the same things are happening over and over, it’s a problem and needs addressing. But on the original point, it wasn’t Leeds finding anything out. This was to do with us and us only. If we had done our job, they’d have been buried. Quality and ability wise, they and Ipswich are inferior. But, there’s some issues we need to sort out psychologically as quality and ability are not the entire puzzle.
  23. Not sure what is happening at Boro but I maintain he is a Championship player at worst ability wise. You don’t have the high points in performance he had if not (in my opinion). But as @OntarioFox fox, his development has just been ruined thanks to Rodgers. Although I think he is a better player than League 1, he may be wise to let his contract expire and decline an extension this summer I think, and find a club at that level to build himself back up. A club that plays with full backs in his style and with a manager who can develop players. You often see players careers crash due to poor moves and timing. Whilst others map out their moves and have good advice around them. LT is in the former category. You often see players move down a league or two and work their way back up stronger. I hope this can happen for Luke.
  24. The one against Cov! The one where KDH was taken out above the knee! Most blatant pen you’ll see and should have been a red card to boot! The Daka one I agree, was beyond soft.
  25. More than I thought but as I say, apart from the Daka one, all have been pretty clear cut. A lot of them have seemed irrelevant in the game context as well, i.e the third in a 3-0 win when the game is done.
