I say that because they only came out once we started having success. And the reason for defending KP/Aiyawatt is always because ‘he’ and ‘they’ won us the league and cup. They don’t care about the lack of standards. They weren’t there when we were crap. And they will soon disappear once we get beyond this season and the PL seems like a distant memory.

Most of those in the crowd only started going in 2014 so they won’t know who he is.

A large proportion of our so called ‘fans’ unfortunately…

Premier League has charged LCFC with an alleged breach of PSR
LCFCJohn replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Can’t be bothered to copy them over but the FB fans are taking their defence of the club to a whole new level. On the Leicester City FC page, there is a graphic with all the players who left for free and the total cost (over £200mill). Most people on there are defending it! Pointing to all the fees brought in. Yeah great, hasn’t helped us avoid financial sh*t has it. Saying the club could do nothing. Yeah ok…. These people deserve everything that is coming. -
can’t see us winning any of those. We are literally a one man team, bar the odd Fatawu worldie.
-
Can’t underestimate that back then, Corrie and Emmerdale were purely stand alone programmes
-
Not that these will even happen but no mention of the defence there…

The nerve of him when his country are the only ones to have ever evoked article 5. Other NATO countries came to their rescue. Not the other way round.

Mads Hermansen sold to West Ham - Official
LCFCJohn replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
A bit of exaggeration does not equal lack of critical thinking. The point being, even if not everyone put a label on a player (league 1, none league etc), the common theme seems to be either great or crap and a lack of people seem to be able to consider that a player could either be playing crap due to circumstances or that it just doesn’t work at a particular club in some cases. -
It’s an option, not an obligation. It purely means we could say we want to sign at a pre-agreed price (so Rennes couldn’t put the fee up based on his performances this season). The player still has to agree and other clubs could still come in for him. We have little power here so why would he stay here?

Challinor at Stockport? Doing a phenomenal job. Eustace at Derby is doing quite well given where we were.

Sorry, I will judge the greedy f***er. Not everyone is money grabbing. Some of us actually have the self worth and guts to say enough is enough and move jobs, even if that meant taking a reduction in salary, to do something where we can be happy. I personally did that a few years ago so I can and will judge these footballers who clearly hate being at the club but ‘can’t move’ or are ‘trapped here’ because their over inflated wages are never going to be matched by other club. Of course they are under contract and we can’t make them go. But let’s not pretend they don’t have options. He remains here because the money is all that matters and he doesn’t give a damn about playing.

Mads Hermansen sold to West Ham - Official

As soon as I saw @Clever Fox’s post I smiled knowing it would get people scrambling Many football fans and many on here seem unable to apply critical thinking. Everything is one extreme or the other. Each player is either a £40mill star or non-league. Case in point, the two GK’s under discussion. There are quite clearly extreme extenuating circumstances that are affecting Stolarcryk (coaching, team in front of him etc) that Hermansen had a completely, off the charts, better hand dealt to him. As such, it makes it hard to compare at all in my option. Remember though, all of you who simultaneously bemoan how Iverson is doing at Preston whilst noshing Maresca off, who did Maresca see more in? How much better would we have done on the goalkeeping front if Hermansen was with us this season? I don’t know. I don’t honestly think you’d see much difference. He was unable to command his area and gave goals away due to his playing out. But he didn’t do this palming away and spilling shots thing. Ultimately, I put what is going on with Stolarcryk down to him being rock bottom with his confidence and in a bad place mentally in this team. Mental strength was hardly a strength of Hermansen’s so I feel he would also have struggled behind this team, under this manager, as would most keepers. None of this is a defence of Stolarcryk and his for by the way, as I know there are many policing that on this forum . Just applying balance. -
It should be put in the centre of the memorial garden. Surely nobody reasonable could take issue with that!

I think we had some good players in that squad but not the individuals we have in this one. The off the field matters and managerial merry go round didn’t help in 07/08. I just looked and our points total that season (52) would have kept you up every year other than one since then. Didn’t we also have something crazy like the second best defence? If you had just a fraction of the individual quality that we are relying on this season, that side would have been nowhere near getting relegated. Although the data available now wasn’t back then, by near all metrics you could compare, we are a worse side now than back then. Just fortunate we have James. This side could have no complaints or redeeming arguments if they go down.

I didn’t say he hadn’t. Oxford away come to mind. But his form in general seems to have turned since about November. And I stand by everything I said about the state of the club and atmosphere overall.
-
There’s a difference between defending him in a, he was fine kind of way and questioning how the bigger picture is at play here. Same with Nelson. His form has been poor for more than a few games or weeks. We have to go back to about November. Even playing Coventry, you could see how Rushworth was holding shots like the one from Reid and then Fatawu in the second. You’d expect him to save those but he held them too whereas you’d expect Stolarcryk would have palmed both away, whether back into trouble or not who knows. But when people start putting labels like ‘L1 player’ or ‘s**t’ etc, I do have to question with some of these players to what extent it is the club and the environment. It may not be and we may see some of these players fail to do much elsewhere. And the comments about Iverson….the guy was written off in the same way as Stolarcryk when he was here. People were all about a keeper who was better with his feet over goalkeeping ability and I was one who defended Iverson and said he’d do well elsewhere when played to his strengths. But come on, if you did a straight swap now of Iverson and Stolarcryk, do people really think Stol would be crap at Preston and Iverson matching his for there with us? Of course not. The club is poison and toxic. And whilst some who are being called crap might well be, others (like Iverson) will go and do well elsewhere once away from this. And that’s before getting started on the lack of any kind of coaching. For me, palming the ball away rather than holding it is a sign of confidence and mental fragility rather than ability. A nervous GK is going to be consciously or subconsciously thinking that he is going to look even worse if he tries to hold the ball and messes it up.

Why does the exact minute coming up from the concourse have to have a specific meaning? Wednesday fans just did 10 minutes on the opening game didn’t they? I like the idea. It does cause chaos and KP’s will get caught up trying to get in. But 10 minutes would be absolutely fine. With a specific minute like 14 or 16 it is just creating debate about why.

'I Want People To Be Closer' - Khun Top Speaks
LCFCJohn replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
I also notice that on these pages where these people are, quite often there will be a picture of a player with a caption like ‘great game’ or ‘massive future ahead’ or bits like that. And inevitably, there are always people asking who they are. And in one case, someone moaning that the admin of the page just assumes we know who they are. Sorry, literally you can see the squad number on the shorts/shirt so even if you might not know them by face (which yeah with some of the kids like Aluko maybe you wouldn’t be yet), it’s basic to be able to know who someone is based off their number! -
Don’t! It’ll be listed on their official honours along with the Floodlit Cup if you put this out there!
