Not too keen on the new Wolf Alice album, feels overproduced and the rest of the band cut out a lot, seems like a solo album for Ellie. Couple of great tracks in White Horses and The Sofa, has a 70s California feel, Karen Carpenter-esque in places, not the best after a 4 year wait.

Of course I’m not suggesting we didn’t need a DM with Wilf injured at the time, perhaps it’s the way I’ve written it, I’m just confused as to why it was him and not someone else who had some bite. He’s so passive like Soumare. He doesn’t even get anywhere near what Wilf could do, even when Ndidi lost form he offered more, he could play centre back, and was even tried further up the park with mixed results. At Spurs he was still rating at 6.5/10 on average, passing accuracy up there with Winks back then but it’s dropped off and at a lower level too.

The price tag isn’t his fault, that’s on Rudkin for being a mug. I’ll never understand why Cooper/Rudkin felt we needed him in the first place, so passive and now lacking at this level, our recruitment is abysmal.

Good fee but I think if he gets a fair run in their team he could produce the goods. it’s all well and good moving players on but the money disappears down a black hole.

Enjoyed it so much back then. Pay on the gate, singing half hour before kick off, none of this nonsense with clappers and fireworks and players being applauded for doing a warm up. If you watch any of these videos, you’ll see that even though we escaped that season by the skin of our teeth, the ball always went forward and players especially wingers beat their man, it’s the main reason I can’t stay interested these days because it’s sideways and backwards.

Big concern is the ability to grind out results, short in all areas apart from wingers, and the mindset of many in this group is they couldn’t care less as long as the 6 figure sums go into the bank at month end. Agree, but these lot just have no takers, there’s no one interested, we’re stuck with them. Im also a firm believer that Schmeichel knew it was the right time to go, and Vardy did too, you look around at your workmates and just think, no, this isn’t going to work. Lost 7/8 players, only brought 3 in, lots of injury problems last season and some players unhappy with their rehab, whole physio/medical team went, still advertising for a first team physio as of last week. Went 7 months without a DoF, very lucky that 2 other key players didn’t go, deals just fell at the last hurdle. Club doesn’t communicate.

I’m watching non league, I did the whole WSL women’s season last season following Leicester and even they are being ruined by King Power. Not another penny until they are gone.

I would use the word ‘earn’ loosely where most of these frauds are concerned. What was the reaction at the end?
