  1. American is it now? I thought it was supposed to be Russian?
  2. Safe in the knowledge that Farage is not going to win, and if he is one of a few Reform MPs in Parliament he can make some noise I guess.
  3. Dems are ****ed unless they get rid of Biden, and then they get Harris, who is even less popular. They are stuck I think, Trump it is.
  4. She wants to be the next president though, and she has already learned the way to get there is to soften her stance and move toward the middle. No reason to think she will change course now. Not that this changes her underlying motivations of course.
  5. Give it a few months
  6. I'll pay postage if I win!!
  7. Thanks @Mark I’ve only been here 19.5 of them but it’s been fun!
  8. They aren't all numpties. The lib dems are all a bit nice I think.
  9. Actually quite disappointed the Lib Dems look to have blown a great opportunity here. No serious campaign really.
  10. Possibly, but if they do represent the Reform type voters, there is a risk imo in them have no voice whatsoever in Parliament. We don't want to be the next France.
  11. They have 15 MPS now, to be HM official opposition they would need 100+ new ones, so your opposition would be amateurs. Note necessarily a disaster, but certainly a risk.
  12. Interesting in France (the News Agents Podcast was saying) it is increasingly the young who are embracing the National Action Fascist Front or whatever they are called now.
  13. Its going to be an interesting rest of the week.
  14. The media generally like to back a winner. In this case, while they no doubt had furious comms people from Conservative HQ on the phone, they rightly deemed them irrelevant in 6 weeks time.
  15. Unfortunately, yes. God know who will be left to pick up the pieces.
  16. I seriously doubt she is going to try to kick out circa 6% of the French population. Is it not generally accepted that Islamist means radical Islam?
  17. I still think a lot of the "undecided" voters will be Tory voters who don't want to admit it. Labour will win very comfortably, but the wipeout less than 100 seats I don't think is going to eventuate.
  18. It seems to be quite unpopular in France right now.
  19. Its is quite remarkably shit campaigning. Almost feel embarrassed for the guy.
  20. I can only assume alongside the massive world leading arrogance that is Mr Ronaldo, the rest of them think they are normal, whereas in fact they are also massive willy pullers.
  21. I guess they were one of the poor sods who took 6 hours to get out of Schalke after the Serbia game.
  22. Who knows at this stage, they have the ability to surprise us, and the Swiss might not come at us quite like Slovakia. While I want to see the back of Southgate I will be delighted if we continue to stumble through this competition.
  23. Hopefully building some bloody houses!
  24. Sorry to hear you are feeling this way. As a finance guy myself I would say the skills you mention are valuable in finance in the right organization. I have a very people / network building profile myself rather than purely analytical, and it works in the right company. As you say being able to build networks is what gets things done. I would suggest as a first option putting yourself out there in and finding an organization with the right cultural fit for you. Make a big difference.
  25. I hope that helps but I doubt it in the short term. Labour in here for a couple of years now and cost of living remains horrible. Tax cut today though.
