I lived in Doncaster for a few years in the late 90s and after the league cup replay at hillsborough, the police were ushering all leicester fans onto the leicester train which was waiting at Sheffield station. As i entered the station a copper asked " are you leicester" and i replied without thinking "yes". I was promptly made to board the leicester train and despite my protests, south yorks police weren't interested that i lived in Doncaster and needed to get the local train. They just wanted all fans out of Sheffield. The train left very shortly after but im now glad i was forced onto it. Great trip back with city fans.

Agree with the point but the problem is there is a hell of a difference in the attitude and mentality between the likes of izzet, lennon, walsh, Elliott etc and the current lot.

Any recommendations for pubs in Leicester to watch this next Saturday that have a bit of life /likely to have a few city fans in? Lets be honest, only a handful were ever serious. The hangers on did very little more than gesticulate, shout, chase people down a street , then get chased back down the same street 😂. As you say, mainly bullies who like an easy target. Not that i condone any of it now im a grown up 😂

I went last time, in fact ive done cov away a number of times including Highfield rd. wont bother this time, mainly due to prices. Not arsed. Horrible away day anyway. Shit location, shit head fans. I used to go away in early 90s when there was a regular threat of confrontations so its nothing new to me, but things are a bit different these days being with my daughter. Morons of the highest order that end of the m69.

Dont get me wrong, im not claiming it was bouncing for 90 but compared to some recent games it was better in my opinion. Maybe it just felt better as it was nice to get a win and see something on the pitch you could get behind. It could be be different for different people in the same section of the ground, based purely on your row or rows behind or in front of you. Ive been at games and thought "that was sh*t" and ive read posts that said the very same game was a good atmosphere. It is a let down when u are the only one in your row/s singing or joining in. You just feel a bit of a d1ck.

I thought it was half decent too....compared to some recent games. Like it or not I think 3pm helps when people have had a couple (more) beers. I dont drink pre game myself so makes no odds to me but historically in my experience the later games tend to go hand in hand with a bit more drinking time and a bit better atmosphere. Just my take. It still don't explain why there isn't a bigger uptake of songs though.....you know......in the standing area.......formerly the singing section. Clue is in the the name 😂

Its all about maximising profit. They do not for one second care about the fans or if there are empty seats. Lets say they priced it at 30 quid. 3000 fans would generate roughly 90k (assuming mainly adults). At 45 quid only 2000 would generate the same figure and they probably assumed its a safe bet they will sell 2000, as there will always be those that will buy whatever the cost. So anything over and above 2000 fans will be additional income than if they had priced it reasonably and sold out. The ONLY answer is for nobody to go, but that will never happen.

Only one word suffices.... C**ts To any city fan who truly cares about the future of the game and how its going (see world cup tickets also), boycott this. Empty away end is the only way to stop clubs taking the p1ss

This is it for me. Whilst I've always supported city and always will, i wouldnt go if I had to sit in the West stand every week. No disrespect to anyone there but my view is i can sit quietly and watch a game at home. At least 50% of why i go is for atmosphere and that buzz when the whole end joins in (rarer these days). Remembering my first ever game it was the noise and atmosphere that made me want to go back, not just the game.....as i said, i could see games on TV. Its just more fun full stop
