  1. Yes sadly there are some clear similarities with the 22/23 relegation season.
  2. Spurs at home in 2022 took some beating but this is one of those seasons where the club keeps finding new ways for the lows to get even lower.
  3. St. Andrew's is one of the loudest around when it gets going in unison. As is the case with old-school grounds, home crowds tend to be closer to the pitch, which adds to the feeling of being more involved in the game.
  4. In fairness, to distance their fanbase from this, the people in that area who target cars aren't football fans generally speaking.
  5. Not expecting a result here - still managerless and now hit with a six-point deduction. For other clubs in the same situation, there would be a 'season starts now' type of attitude. Unfortunately with this squad and what feels like a terminal decline, it's doubtful that will be the case. Birmingham's home atmosphere, on its day, can also make it one of the toughest places to go anywhere.
  6. Disagree with the first part of this post. The respectability of the club should mean more than any one player.
  7. There's already two big plus points to today, a legend at the helm and the Union FS foodbank. Just need a performance from the players to get a much-needed win.
  8. Unfortunately it seems like Marti underestimated the scale of the job both on and off the pitch. It's a shame as he made a real effort to build a connection with the fanbase & city, but he fully lost the home crowd yesterday and there's next to no chance of any manager coming back from that.
  9. Wrexham (A) Pre-Match Thread: "This has all the makings of a defeat, and a big scalp (comparatively speaking, not in terms of league form). Former Prem winners away to Wrexham on Sky etc." The same applies tomorrow, minus it being away on Sky.
  10. Thanks for the feedback. It's also good that the club aren't charging away fans £35 as a standard price this season.
  11. Good to see that the club have priced Oxford at home tomorrow as a Category D fixture, which is what it should be of course. P2 and P3 have both sold out as a result and that's in spite of the overriding feeling of discontent at the moment. Credit should go again to the Trust and any others who were involved in urging the club to introduce lower ticket prices this season.

  14. I'm assuming you meant to say they've not played here in recent years prior to Monday?
  15. By our standards, it was decent last night overall. There was some good noise at times from the two blocks either side of the away corner and also from the other end. As always, our home atmosphere could be maximised if all like-minded fans were in one place of the ground.
  16. He didn’t have a good game at all, and as a keeper, there’s naturally a lot of attention on performances. However, the treatment he received during the game will have only worsened his confidence especially at the moment. He was unfortunately caught up in the toxicity on the day. Not a player we should be turning on though.
  17. Just feel it’s unfortunate that players like him can get caught up in the toxicity, despite not playing any part in the first relegation and only playing ten games last season.
  18. The last league match of 2025.
  19. The sarcastic cheering and booing towards him by some fans was disappointing. It's no way to treat an academy player in his first full season as a number one keeper at this level. To my mind, the discontent was aimed at the wrong target today.
  20. If we can get a win today, it would be three wins from the last four which would be a good return before Christmas.
  21. Great to see him now starting to turn it around. He's played his way into the side and is putting in some useful performances at the moment. Like with Bobby Reid recently, Skipp is playing more like the player we thought we'd signed.
  22. This will have been mentioned already, but he’s now looking like the player we thought we signed from Fulham. Also seems as though he’s now playing in optimum condition, which probably hasn’t always been the case.
  23. Bristol City turned out to be a disappointing night, but it’s 7 points in the space of a week with two big wins.
  24. Hopefully some sort of blueprint has been found after today’s performance and result. This now needs to be followed up though.
