If we can only acquire one solid central defender and either a right or a left back, that's all we need to stay in the PL. And a new director of football, please.
-
If we play like this (and have more luck scoring sure goals) we are not getting relegated. Desperately need two very good defenders.
-
this was our best match this season. Unfortunately we couldn't score the goals that were handed over to us on a golden platter. Highest rated: El Khannouss 9/10, Soumare 8/10. Lowest: Justin 4/10, Kristiansen 4/10, Vardy 5/10. Stolarczyk made one less than good save and it cost us. Then again, Justin should've been there to help him out. Desperately need defenders; everything else seems to click for RVN.

RVN certainly listened to the fans' reaction in Ward's last outing. I think he will never wear the shirt again. If he has managed his money well, he will never want for anything in his life, and will retire with dignity or return to Wreham, where he probably belongs.

I think this is the best line-up under the circumstances. Godspeed!

He is ready for the spotlight!

Could've easily been 5-1...they hit the post and the bar. Also, they had 14 corners to one of ours. Liverpool had a so-so night yesterday, to be honest.

Let's be honest: Liverpool didn't play their best game yesterday, yet we still lost handily. Fourteen corners to one... I'm hoping the purse strings will be loosened next month; the current selection is largely just not up to the tasks at hand. I would also find a.competent DoF as soon as possible. -

Well done today, considering we were an underdog. Too bad they scored right before the half. Daka proved he’s no replacement for Vardy. Wasn’t Soumare’s best night. We Defended with passion, and we don’t have to look for the second keeper any more. Ultimately, I’m pleased. -
Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official

Cooper and RVN aren't to blame...our club is very broken, from the Top down. That's why Maresca was so eager to jump ship as soon as he could say Ciao. -
Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official

Doesn't the manager see that Ward is a poor keeper? What was his rationale for starting Ayew, who cannot last more than 15-20 minutes on the pitch? What was rationale of keeping fully fit Buonanotte on the bench for 75 minutes? Are there even 2 defenders in the U-21 team that cannot be given a chance? Does he really think that our U-21 keeper would be worse than Ward? In general, WTF, Ruud?! -
Aside from Coady who has been in poor form all season and should really consider retirement, and VK, who, for me, hasn’t grown to the PL level yet, and adding Fatawu, which I’m sure you’d do had he been fit, I think we have no more premium players. We will go down if no good players will be added, I now realize that with certainty. Today was the watershed match.

Hermansen will be sold next month. There isn’t much for Top to pilfer any more after that. The club is morbidly sick and is on life support.

20 million for Skipp…enough said.

My bare minimum to stay competitive: Director of Football Two holding midfielders One center-back R & L full-backs Second goalkeeper

A toilet would've stopped that ball....Danny didn't.

Newcastle 4 Leicester 0 Post Match Thread

This photo sums up how we defend. Our WHOLE team is in the box, no-one covers three Newcastle players at the far post: GOAL. My son's U17 team knows better than that. -
He was megged from ten yards for goal no.4. That was 100% vintage Danny.
-
Danny is no Yashin, but those two set him up pretty bad today. Need at least half a dozen of better players…otherwise it’s the plank walk for us.
-
Same can be said about most of our players in the dreadful 2022/23 season. Just shows how much a very good manager can do for a team.
-
Hermansen is THE best keeper in the PL today...as plain as daylight for the big time clubs to start making inroads to his agent.
-
Faes on the bench is the best place for him...and the fans.
-
Collectively the midfield was bollocks; it is they, not the defence that allowed 30 shots on goal. Say what you want about the way we played, but without Hermansen's heroics we are as good as gone.
-
If the new manager forbids him venturing more than ten yards outside the box, he may be quite useful. I think what is more important than selling Faes is getting better midfielders who don't lose the ball so much and make our defenders look worse for wear. Yes, Faes is painfully slow..
-
The club could easily sell him for 20-25 million, based on the name recognition alone. We certainly would not be any worse with his name stricken off the book.
