LCFC 2-3 Sheff Utd, post-match thread

Only shame was that Monga was pretty poor. Decision making really wasn't great. Several opportunities to put the ball in a dangerous area and instead he slowly dribbled towards a defender and got tackled. Time after time. -

We're paying them more if we keep them. Let them go and only top up their wages, instead of paying all their wages currently. It's a saving. -

Mate, you're living in a parallel universe. We've got utterly crap players. We're not going to win many football matches. All we can ask is that they put some proper effort in and try. Second half they did. That doesn't make up for the first half which was utterly unprofessional and lazy, we're just pointing out it was a hell of a lot better than the first. Your utter inability to comprehend basic ideas and the English language are only embarrassing you. -

Beyond me how we can make zero effort in one half and put a proper shift in during the other. First half was unprofessional and some of our players shouldn't ever play again and be told to find a new club in January. The others should be told to put that much effort in from the first whistle. -

Getting into good positions, winning challenges, getting forward with intent, actually trying. What we should be doing all game every game. Overall the performance was inexcusable, particularly given we showed we can try in the second half. Really it's not hard to see that both things can be true. Quite how you equate that to sort sort of happy clapping is beyond me. -

I'll copy what I just said to somebody else: Overall we were terrible. No excuses for the first half. Particularly given we showed how we can play in the second. Is nuance really beyond you to understand? -

Dmayne is right. We've been great second half. The first half was abysmal though and frankly unprofessional on the part of our players. If you can't see that both sides of that are true then you really should save your energy. -

To be fair to him, mavididi does get into good positions off the ball -
Would they suggest leaving? Anyway it's only an opinion.

Only thing I didn't like was the guy walking out with his kids after about half hour at 2-0. Kids going to the football are excited and want to watch the game, leaving early is what we do as adults because we don't place the same value on a match as kids. Felt sorry for them, they looked confused and disappointed. Also at 2-0, no matter how crap we are, what sort of lesson is giving up?

That's half the problem. We should have had a stability pick last season but went with RVN mid season. Should have got Moyes when he was free. Brilliant manager with loads of experience. We keep rolling the dice and management signings and landing on 1.

I've mentioned Tony Mowbray before. No idea if we can afford to sack the manager. But if we can we need somebody with clear ideas who will pick players and build a system to fit the players. Clever philosophies are fine with world class players, not with the crap we've got.

Yeah, don't bother -
They weren't inept, corrupt or lazy. The budget was fine and we're doing better economically that all the naysayers were moaning about.

The amount of land used for agriculture isn't going to go up

Only 70% of land is used for agriculture. There's plenty left

It's a total nonsense. Particularly from a party that spent a decade and a half pretending things were better than they really were

BBC News - No 10 denies Reeves misled public in run-up to Budget https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c4gex225p5jo Desperate stuff by the Tories. Complaining that the economy is better than they thought which apparently means the chancellor should be sacked 😵💫

Sheffield United (H) Saturday 29th November 12.30pm
CornwallFox replied to Corky's topic in Leicester City Forum
I suppose it depends on what the club think is realistic. Top's recent pronouncements appeared to be the first public admittance that we have some problems that are going to take time to resolve. Maybe they realise mid table is the best we're going to get, in which case sacking a manager that has us in mid table is a bit pointless. Let's be honest, promotion would just lead to another relegation even if it happened under another manager -
I'd like to see properly designed developments. I think we probably both agree on the terrible designs we see. I'm just not convinced people need to accept being a renting class and living in apartments. We need to remove landlords from the house buying equation is what we need to beyond anything else. It's always been the case that young people congregate near cities, grow up and have families and move away. What you describe is simply that. Moving well off families out to be replaced by the young is what's always happened.
