PL Title Winners
urban.spaceman replied to The Year Of The Fox's topic in General Football and Sport
For as long as they go unpunished I want Man City to win as much as possible. Absolute sham of a sport. -
There are no positives. We're ****ed for a generation.

As was this:

This was 5 years ago today, reaching our first FA Cup final in 52 years

5 years ago today.

5 years ago today we won at Wembley to get to our first FA Cup final in 52 years. We were third in the Premier League.
-
You’ve voted Tory for the last 25 years and you have the temerity to complain about Labour being in power?
-
We will never be allowed anywhere near the PL. Ever.
-
How the **** have we managed to switch places with Coventry. What the actual ****ing ****.

Happy anniversary

OK fair enough. How about: Starting a war without any planning or consultation of your allies, whom you have spent the last year lying about, which is going to cause serious and long term economic problems in this country, and in which he used AI to select targets to bomb, one of which was a girls primary school with 150 children and their teachers? If murdering children at school isn't enough to make him an evil cvnt then perhaps the wider context of what led him to doing that does?

Pretty sure I’ve posted most of those so I’ll give you my reasonings: Robert Jenrick, Mel Stride and Kemi Badenoch All three are directly and personally culpable in the 14 years of Tory misrule that have lead this country to be in such a vulnerable position. That’s bad enough, but in opposition that have spent their time whingeing about the result of their own policies while taking absolutely zero responsibility for it. Jenrick proudly proclaimed that he was procuring more and more migrant hotels but is now blaming Labour for their handling of the Farage Small Boats Crisis. When in fact they have reduced immigration backlog to ‘normal’ levels after the Brexitwave, reduced the asylum backlog by 48%, and are closing more and more ‘asylum hotels’ - its own from 400 to 183. He is also a massive racist. Kemi Badenoch doesn’t really do gaffes but she is demonstrably a deeply unpleasant, deeply unpatriotic, deeply unprofessional and deeply arrogant bully who would have taken us into this war on a whim, yet takes no responsibility for the consequences while blaming Starmer for not joining the war. She has proven beyond any doubt that she is unfit for the position she holds. A damning indictment on the talent in the Conservative Party after 14 years of unrelenting disgrace. All three have displayed extreme callousness to the most vulnerable people in the country which is bad enough while out of office, but in power, with millions of vulnerable people in their care, they have behaved with utter contempt. Joey Barton I posted this on the day he got arrested for assault at a golf club and was forced to pay Eni Aluko compensation for libel. He is a violent racist and misogynist. An absolute stain on our society. Donald Trump Is bombing a girls primary school enough to consider him a cvnt or should I go further?

The book’s upside down. Bet the photographer feels like a right tit.

“She looks like Gollum’s Nan” is now a massive complement.

Shopping for a new chair. Found this in the wild. It's amazing.

@Samilktray @Thefox81 @FoxesDeb @Zear0 @HighPeakFox @worthosoriginals Be honest - how far into this post did you click the laugh emoji?

Thanks Sampson. It really is starting to feel like this is this real thing that I've struggled with the most. It's a really fascinating thing to find out about yourself so far into life. I'm trying to think of the best way to explain it to different people. It's somewhere between realising you've been using left handed scissors this entire time; or finding out you've been stuck on Windows Vista for 20 years because you couldn't find the system update button.

Thanks Finners. You were right, it was more clinical than I was expecting. She was nice but stopped me from rambling on a few times to keep it close to the subject. Which I then had to ask what she asked again as I'd segued into another point. Expecting a call from her in a couple of weeks. Incidentally had a doctors appointment this morning and asked him to get the ball rolling on an autism assessment as I've scored really highly on that too. It's a bit like I'm trying to prod and poke and smash away at a giant life logjam, bit by bit.

It's a fair point especially in this day and age but there are also signs of it being for artistic reasons/sheer love of the source material especially with the original artistic teams still being involved, so there is still hope. I saw War of the Rohirrim at the cinema (which bombed) but LOVED it; I think they're happy to do smaller scale character driven pieces within Middle Earth that can fit into the original films as an extra deep dive into parts they didn't didn't/couldn't cover in the original trilogy. With this due to come out in December 27 and Colbert's Shadows of the Past in production, I think they might be trying to create a new trilogy of 'lost chapters' coming out in the same 1-year gap pattern of the original trilogy. Don't know what the third could be but I'm sure millions would pay money to see a 90 minute epic of Eowyn trying to win MasterChef with her fish soup.

Nah but it's fine cos despite his condemning her to death and trapping her on a ship with no escape cos he got a hard on watching her sleep, she ended up falling in love with him anyway, presumably because of the implication. Yeah.

Unfortunately it was released around the time #MeToo was bubbling under the surface so people were calling out the connotations of a man waking a woman up from cryosleep because he fancied the shit out of her. It was another change from the original spec that didn't work - in the original script the malfunctioning ship was ejecting cryopods into space so he woke her up to save her life. Instead they ended up with huge moral questions about consent.
