Next week has 2 home games which could be winnable, could have a massive impact on our efforts to stay up. Some reinforcements before those games could make a massive difference to the outcome of our season. Will we have those reinforcements? Of course we won't.

Odsonne Edouard joins on loan - Official
orangecity23 replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
So we loaned Luke Thomas out to a PL team last season, and allowed a clause to enable them to terminate it on January. But didn't manage to get one for ourselves when loaning a player this season. Quality negotiation as always. -
Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official
orangecity23 replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
He genuinely didn't. We were a disorganised rabble, he didn't understand or know what substitutions were for, and the only reason we stayed out of the bottom 3 was because Fatawu bailed him out of what would have been a 2-0 loss to Russel Martin's Southampton. He was massively propped up by Hermansen. -

Miles better? Took 9 PL games to win a game, won the next game, never won a game again after that. Was so much better than RVN, that when we played Villa at home, instead of losing 2-1 like we did yesterday, we err, lost 2-1. Conceeded 4 against Arsenal, 3 against Forest at home, 5 against Man Utd in the cup and another 3 against them in the league. -
If he can play lb as well as CB, that means the options for a start at lb will be Thomas, Kristiansen, or Thomas Kristensen. Got some real "Who's on first" potential

Could This Be the Most Important January Ever?
orangecity23 replied to StanSP's topic in Leicester City Forum
We have struggled to do business in a efficient or timely manner in the January window for years now. It's far too easy to see us mucking about until the end of the month before scrabbling around at the end for a couple of bodge solutions that don't accomplish what we need and still leaves one or two of the problems completely unhanded. -
It wasn't a heavy stretch - that clumsy oaf Craig Dawson stood directly on Vardy's ankle. That was what caused the damage.

There was no real booing until he managed to dive out the way to make it 2-0. He'd already lost the match for us before people started getting on his back. This narrative that the pressure of booing made him mess up is totally backwards, since he'd already lost the plot by that point. I think he just seems to have no ability to deliver under any kind of pressure. He'll perform in the odd cup game, like that league cup tie earlier this season when nothing matters, but put him in a game where there's anything to play for and he folds quicker than an Oragami speedrunner.

You know how the 3pm TV ban is supposed to be to protect smaller teams? I propose a new format for it. Big 6 banned from Television in the UK, to protect all the other clubs. Glory hunting twats can mess around getting viruses and using shit websites to try to stream games, the rest of us can watch our teams in smooth, legal HD. Time to teach the glory hunting muppets who've ruined football with their armchair support of big 6 teams what its like trying to follow teams when the media isn't falling over itself deperately trying to cram them down your eyeballs 24/7.

The money we've spent is only one side of the coin, it's the volume of those big money players who've left on frees that has done just as much damage. We saw Tielemans Soyuncu Perez Mendy Amartey Iheanacho Evans Praet Silva Slimani All leave without raising a single pound in transfer income.

Jordan Ayew - NEVER PLAYING FOR LEICESTER AGAIN!!!
orangecity23 replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
He's just too slow to play on the wing for 90 minutes anymore. If he's playing, it needs to be in a more central role, ideally off the bench at a stage of the game when we're doing well at keeping possession at the top end of the pitch, so his lack of mobility isn't exposed and there are other players close enough to him to link up with. -

Cracked me up when I saw that, there's being slow but that was some next level effort to avoid having to move more than the necessary amount -
Bloody Fairweather fan is Bob, he doesn't come down if Sky Sports move a match to Monday evening....

If you are playing wing backs, they've got to have some pace and carry an attacking threat to carry it off. If you just play defensive full backs you get pinned in and can't get out of your half. They have to push forward or you have no attacking width whatsoever. Based on what we've got available for this,, Thomas would be about last of the list who could pull it off. Kristiansen would be more attacking than Thomas, and I'd rather take a punt on McAteer or even BdCR who's played wingback in the past. Hope I'm wrong, but can't see this lineup working for that formation. -
Ruud awakening for the Premier League!

Hey Ruud, we sure are glad, you took this shit job, to make us better Tell Top, to bin off Jon Rudkin Then we'll begin, to fix the Leicester, Leicester, Leicester NA NA NA NANANA, NANANA HEY RUUD -
The voice of the O'Neill era, I got into following City following his match commentry on Radio Leicester. Proper legend, RIP.

The writing was on the wall since pre season. Looked like a second choice desperation pick when he arrived, and not one performance in his entire tenure looked like a well coached, prepared team delivering a solid 90 minutes. Hopefully the club spend more than 5 minutes on due diligence for the next candidate, instead of falling for some shit like Jesse Marsche because he did a good PowerPoint presentation.

He was England U16 & 17 according to Wiki.
-
For everyone laughing at this - it is referring to Pearson, not the Tater Peeler. So I guess with England u21 alumni there's a 50/50 chance of building the greatest team you'll ever have or destroying the club for a decade

Ipswich away 2nd November Match Thread

Fireman Soumare - the crossover we all want to see. That little shit Norman sets fire to the shop/school/church etc, Bouba just sits in the station all afternoon reading the paper while it all burns to the ground, because he can't be arsed to get up and into the fire engine. -

No live audio on lcfc.com for this one? EDIT: Sods law, appeared as soon as I posted -
Bouba Soumare is about twice the size of Nampalys Mendy, and approximately 1/15th the quality of him.
