Rudkin smiling and Tom Cannon getting a game. 5000/1.

Again. Olé Olé.

Bit young for retirement. Could definitely do a job for a smaller club like Derby in this division.

It gets rotated between the "leadership group", there's no actual captain.

What Have You Enjoyed Most About This Season?
iancognito replied to StanSP's topic in Leicester City Forum
Wingers (plural) The random seats in front of us not being occupied by tourists filming the entire game on their phone. Resurgence of Ricky P having almost a full season under his belt Vardy taking the piss out of every set of away fans like a farewell tour. The one thing I don't like (opposite to a lot of people it seems) is the total anonimity of the league in comparison to the PL. I know there's been a lot of coverage of the "most competitive Championship race ever" but you completely vanish from sight and coverage of anything involving the club is next to zero. 3 or 4 of our goals this season deserved far more spotlight but even the financial stuff needed more analysis and certain figures at the club have escaped attention because of where we are. -
Our ball boys have done it a few times too. When the opposition go to take a quick throw they roll a ball down the line to them. I think it was Robert Madley reffing us recently told one of them behind the goal to stop it. Gamesmanship and certainly not as bad as the Arsenal tactic of holding your head after being kicked in the shin.

So true. All season. Up til December we were going to finish behind Ipswich. They won one game between Boxing Day and Feb 16th. Then Saints had that run and we were going to be caught by them. They lost 4 of their next 6. Then Leeds were on a roll. Their plunge might not be over yet. This division is horrible. I've said it all season and repeated my dislike of it constantly. I don't care for the "greatest league" crap or the "most competitive" it's just horrible. The runs we had with one defeat in 17 etc spoiled us and quite a few people forgot the nature of the division. Dominate games but lose to a mad deflection, have all the possession, lose to a worldie. Teams stepping up to beat the big dogs. The irony in all this bottle nonsense is the only people lacking bottle are certain sections in our fanbase. Fickle AF and you only have to see a few comments in the match and pre-match threads to understand the mentality. Unfortunately a few of them have subscribers and public appeal and the negativity spreads. I don't doubt the same will happen next season and all the people saying we'll struggle will forget that and go after the manager and the players anyway.

No my point with Vardy isn't the "worth it" argument as with him it's unquestionable but we can't be paying a guy who turns 38 £140k a week on what is virtually now a rolling year-to-year deal. With the rest, they should never have been on that money. We completely lost our heads in terms of value. We need to reset and set new benchmarks on wages going forward. We can't be stuck with the likes of Ward, Bertrand, Praet etc because no-one else will pay their wages.

It's a ban on registrations, not signings. To sign a contract you have to register the player with the league. The grey area is whether that applies to those already under contract because you're extending their registration. Whilst it's criminal to let players constantly leave on frees (another summer exodus will cost us around another £90m) if we re-sign the likes of Vesty and Praet, even Vardy on their current wages we really haven't learnt anything about how we got into this mess.

Tough one because of the players running down contracts. You need Prem experience (Ndidi, Vesty etc) but they're big earners so do you get 250-300k off the wage bill and find more Fatawu's and Mavididi's? Or keep them and sell others like KDH and Daka that will get fees. Even McAteer would interest a lot of Championship clubs and be pure profit. We can't just keep spending because they will impose sanctions and embargoes on us and then we're properly screwed.

Best defence in the league eh? How many of this lot were in TOTS?

They'll need half time to change their underwear. Still those 4 days they spent at the top of the league will go down in legend.

Leeeeeeeds Leeds are falling apart (Again) Bottle jobs.

Ordinary Leeds are here again. Most over-hyped team in this division since Pompey 93

Preston Away - Monday 29th April - Pre Match

It's exactly what happened. Plymouth home, Hudds home, Stoke away were classic examples but we peaked too early or lost the plot whichever you prefer. Pretty sure he doesn't like the "tippy tappy shite" (as one poster summed it up) when it doesn't have purpose but it's very easy to forget he's a young manager and still learning how to get the best out of his players in what is a very hard league to remain consistent in. -
Match Ratings: Leicester City 5-0 Southampton - Vote Now

Fatawu an obvious 10 They won't get too many mentions in a 5-0 but special props to Faes and Vestergaard who passed Adams from each others pockets all night. If he went deep, Vesty followed him, if he made a run Faes tracked him. Watched them for about an hour and they didn't give him an inch of room. Probably their best defensive display this side of Christmas, totally snuffed out their attack. -
Serge from Kasabian just turned up at the hospitality entrance wearing a coat you could only describe as LSD inspired 🫨

If this was the case L1 would be rocking every week. It hasn't rocked since maybe 17/18. Call it SK1, the singing section or whatever but they're the only guys making noise, hence the players go to that corner first after every game. The club deliberately put the away fans on the opposite corner to get rid of the "banter" - coins being exchanged, trouble after the game etc - that Filbert Street suffered from. Nothing is going to move and SK1 is where the noise is. Bring it on tonight.
