  1. Preston had about 4 touches in Southampton's box in 90 minutes and were absolute gash down here. Sums this division up that they were top 3 for a couple of months.
  2. But Forest love VAR. They announced it on a balcony to a crowd of people after promotion.
  3. In games where we did everything but score. Millwall and Pymouth beat us too. Leeds are nothing special. In other news, Archie Gray continues to light up the lives of the Sky Sports presenters with every two yard pass "Oh so mature for his age, this boy's going right to the top"
  4. That sounds like an issue for Jim Donnelly. I've got to say I wasn't surprised by the 5% increase and thought it could even be 10% but this loyalty tax (great phrase btw) is as big a scam as Clubcard and all those other supermarket apps (and they at least let you use a card)
  5. I don't know why we bother with them. Every single time we do it, it's shit and we end up losing the game meekly. Liverpool, Everton, Leeds, 3 defeats on critical nights. Need to decide if they're putting on a football match or a Coldplay gig.
  6. He'd be a great replacement for KDH. If he can't get in the side at Celtic, that says more about Rodgers than the player himself. Seen him two or three times this season and he's been MOTM every time. Him and Szmodics in the 8 position would be great signings (if we have any funds whatsoever)
  7. I did but I think there's huge doubts about going ahead with that anytime in the next couple of years. If we going to have it put it where the King Power sign board is on the away corner 😂
  8. I'll revise that, the top 3 aren't anything special. It's a poor quality league and says more about the level of football in the division that the top 3 or 4 are miles ahead of the rest. I know there's a narrative about it being a "competitive" league and crazy and all those other quotes but the best description is that if they were playing Championship games in your back garden you'd shut the curtains.
  9. This club isn't putting up a Vardy statue. Unless it involves Vichai or King Power branding they aren't interested.
  10. Szmodics aside, Blackburn are a terrible side. If we lose at home to them we probably don't deserve promotion. They had something like 4 touches in the Wednesday box today across 98 minutes.
  11. Leicester's going straight back up
  12. Hopefully Cannon gets more time with them next season because he can certainly do that. Jamie had so much free space in the box yesterday it was untrue. One of them was going to find him eventually.
  13. I keep saying it, Leeds are nothing special. Their "run" was the first time they managed a bit of consistency all season and theyve lost a third of their away games. Boro unbeaten in 8. We live in hope.
  14. TBF to Mavididi he barely got a touch in the first half, Faes just didn't see him early enough often enough. All his best games are when Doyle plays there.
  15. TBF he was trying to get Praet on for nearly ten mins before he actually got on, the ball just never went out of play apart from two corners we were defending but we couldn't understand why first of all Vardy was still on at 82mins and then why it wasn't Cannon coming on for him when we desperately needed someone physical who could hold the ball up (that isn't Daka). His subs are the one thing I have an issue with, at this stage of a season when we need legs to either chase a game or see it out he just doesn't seem to trust the bench.
  16. He's started Vardy plenty but he's 37, two games a week means he won't start nearly as many games. Hamza has started a lot of our games in the past 3 months and not always played as well as he did today. Coady is a mystery but TBF until New Year it was difficult to be dropping Faes or Vesty on form. Faes is playing like a guy who's mind is elsewhere.
  17. Bazanu damaged his Achilles before their game in midweek. With Armstrong as well that's a big blow for them.
  18. Always speaks very well on The Monday Night Club. Seems to be a regular guest these days. The captaincy isn't a massive thing at most clubs now, there's leadership groups and he's certainly in that here.
  19. But most people don't know it. Every time a game moves people react as if it's like the first time it's happened. I remember reading a few comments as we slipped down the league last season that "at least we'll get 3pm kick offs back" conveniently forgetting 13/14 have us one 3pm home kick off in the final 4 months of the season. Unfortunately the FA Cup replay debacle means that there will be virtually no objections from many clubs as TV money becomes essential for extra revenue. Sky have no concerns about whether fans attend the games or not. Apart from one or two close up shots of agony on kids faces or Leeds dancing in the stands to Kaiser Chiefs, they rarely mention the crowd.
  20. They look a lot better in the final third than we do, always seem to have options or a an extra man running into the box not just wingers cutting inside and trying a shot
  21. It is. I've never had a problem with that attitude. If we'd beat Leeds but lost to Stoke the 3 pts would have been just the same. Leeds knuckle draggers were trying to build up the anti-Enzo thing like they did with Lampard and Derby because they love creating that rivalry. If he says it's a massive game all the talk afterwards is about us losing a massive game.
  22. They've done what everyone else has done this season, had a decent unbeaten run and either side of it been a bit underwhelming. Leeds started poorly had their run from Jan and are struggling again, we had the two unbeaten runs early and are now struggling to get over the line. Ipswich's wobble was January, Saints had a nightmare September before their 25 match run. Could be that Leeds have peaked too early and Saints take them out on the final day.
  23. It's not one of the best, I totally refute that idea. We've seen some total dross down here this season struggle to put two passes together. Preston played last night like they did at the KP, amazing to think they were 3rd for ages. If it wasn't for 3 relatively big ex-Prem sides in the league it'd be 20-odd tramps fighting over a bag of chips.
  24. I thought our lot were bad. Leeds fans getting to the point of anti-depressants on socials right now, dreading that final game
