  1. Licence to do what? If you mean for Ndidi to be able to surge forward in a more attacking way we saw that he was adequate or mediocre at it in the Championship. He hasn't got the close skills required in the Premiership, in fact I would go as far to say he'd be an absolute liability in constantly giving the ball away. Yet, in just one game we saw that a young kid from Brighton has more of the skills required in abundance. There has to be more to our game than sheer containment. Starting every game ultra defensive in the Premiership will be easily worked out by opposition managers, even quicker than Enzo's repeat tactics were worked out by even lower team managers last year. If we're going to go down, let's at least do so with the fight and determination of our Spurs second half performance and just a whimper which also leads to unrest.
  2. It's Fulham not Manchester City, how could you drop Buonanotte? Skipp in for Ndidi perhaps. With a points deduction looming we need to target teams like Fulham for wins and not be too shy from the start, we have the attacking front 3 to threaten. Starting too defensively can be counterproductive.
  3. When up to speed I see Ndidi as the squad player and Skipp first choice. However, it's a long season, we'll need both. Would you rather have Soumare or Hamza?
  4. That's terrible, lots of hurty feelings 😭
  5. Grew into the game and did really well I thought. He's but a young lad lest we forget and, when he first arrived we were in dire straights with a poor manager, hardly got any protection from Barnes, moved countries to allegedly find some of his teammates in a clique due to their mate Thomas and therefore probably not the most welcoming atmosphere. He did always look determined and hardworking however and would come out at half time and put himself through his paces like some of the opposition players did but our other idle lot didn't. Had a really good season with Bologna and has the ability to kick on imo. I sincerely wish him well as he clearly has some determination and a bit of steel about him.
  6. Yes, I think you put it better than me 😁
  7. I think it was more his style of football and apparent stubborness that didn't connect together with his bull, we'd just had the latter for several years and could smell it a mile off.
  8. His assessment was the same as most supporters there last night I should imagine. Refreshingly honest. More sense than ego and we haven't said that for a while. We didn't just lose KDH and a manager, a host of coaching staff went too and new one's arrived in dribs and drabs. Only one game, it could have been different but it wasn't. Very promising. The fight was there in the second half. It was good to see it back.
  9. Not much of a burden because he'd hardly played. Only a complete lemon would have played him in such a high line anyway. The clues were there, like all the previous years of his career to know what his strengths and weaknesses were. Once played to his strengths by a manager with half a brain, he excelled again. In any case, every centre half like anyone else on the pitch will occasionally misjudge things, it's just more noticeable in that position. In this league he'll be up against some of the best strikers about, it should be expected, you win some you lose some. It doesn't mean you go from good to utterly crap overnight.
  10. JJ was an utter disaster when played on the left last season. Often caught out of position and constantly giving the ball away. VK every day of the week for me. Grew into the game tonight and looked very steady. JJ poor on the right first half but a lot better second. Like most of them in fairness to him.
  11. You'd have thought Cooper would know of his capabilities and watched some of last season's footage? If not injured it's very strange and doesn't bode well.
  12. No-one cares, we won't be in it long enough 🤣.
  13. Had one decent season then badly injured. Never seemed to get a look in after that. Big money required for someone who is probably just not up to it anymore, previous injuries a big worry. I don't think it's just a coincidence that we've not heard his name mentioned with anyone seriously.
  14. But still more to come then and more wages for someone we didn't need. Isn't this how we got into a mess in the first place? Like collecting goalkeepers also?
  15. Perhaps if we hadn't blown around 15m on yet another centre half?
  16. They'd probably spend it on more goalkeepers and centre halves!
  17. Yet it's how I feel too. I did renew but purely on the basis that I've been going for so long, experience told me that owners and managers both come and go but your team team remains. I also realised that once I let our season tickets go, there's little chance of getting them back. However, as the first game of the season draws close I'm doubting my judgement. For all the reasons of the other chap you commented about, I can hardly muster the energy to go. I'm getting to the point that I couldn't care less. I get more joy and entertainment watching my son play grassroots football. The whole overhyping of the Premiership, the match day experience and all the issues at our club have left me cold I'm afraid. Unless I see some fight and togetherness this year I think it will be our last. It's not about losing or even relegation, we been through that time and again, that's part of being a Leicester City supporter, you just roll with the punches. It's the feeling of disconnection with the club itself, I don't think the supporters are much to do with it anymore, it's not personal, just another business.
  18. That's how I see it too. Sad but true.
  19. Whilst the situation is absolutely of their own making, in the situation we are in, it can't have been easy to attract players. What up and coming or established player in their right mind would want to come? Even if you ignored the relegation battle along with points deduction, if you were a young player, particularly a forward hoping to shine for a better career move, the chances of being able to do it in this set up has to be limited.
  20. Ditto.
  21. That's a bit of a worry then? He's leaving it a bit late to get his system and thoughts across. Couldn't he have still done that with what he'd got, Mavidivi and Fatawu seemed pretty good at that last season. Perhaps we could send him a video?
  22. Tbh don't know anything about him but supposedly a second striker, is that what we need? Thought we needed a number 9 or first striker. I get confused easily. Wasn't Iheanacho and others second strikers but we didn't use them?
  23. Starting to be a seasonal habit.
  24. Very true but realistically, for all teams, particularly the lower one's, how many transfers are completed early doors? Agents and chairman alike wait to the end to line up their options and get the best deals. There's also the knock on deals whereby your target, even if he wants to come, isn't released until a replacement is secured. It's always the same every year and this year is no exception, in fact it's worse because we're a basket case. Chairman know we're desperate and players most probably reluctant to come.
