  1. Oh yes, good point!
  2. Possibly because when you have the rare opportunity to have the mens team manager available to answer questions, you want to be able to ask him the most questions possible. The vast majority of people, whilst wishing them well, have no interest in the ladies team and to them it's a waste of time. Separate events would enable both to answer the most questions from a more focused target audience.
  3. And Suzuki Itchifanni.
  4. Yet he managed to play for Ireland somehow? Spooky.
  5. Absolutely and that for the moment is probably our best, albeit a very small chance, should we get a sizable points deduction. Does anyone seriously think that Enzo's plan A only intransigent style of play was ever going to be adequate for us to survive under those circumstances? Not a cat in hells chance! It's absolutely cries out for a manager who can get the absolute best out of the players he's actually got, not play a system with tactics that's suitable for the players he wishes he had. Maresca has a task on his hands at Chelsea and it's no good whining there because he's got plenty of talent to work with. After the drubbing at Celtic, according to the media, the noise coming from the players is that they were confused 🤣. It took Poch over half a season to get Chelsea looking half right, Maresca, I don't think will get that luxury. As for us, whether Cooper is that man who can get the best out of the players that he actually has remains to be seen. However, I think he's far more likely to do it than Maresca would here, in that respect we dodged our first bullet imo. This year isn't going to be a year where style over substance can win. The chances are we're going to lose far more than we win and it won't be pretty. We're not in the position to have the luxury of pretty, it's got to be about grit, fight and determination. It's time for more of a Brian Little or Martin O'Neil attitude not a Top wanting possession football philosophy or a Paulo Sousa/Enzo Maresca attitude. It's about whatever it takes.
  6. A good start would be JJ not constantly passing to the opposition, a squad player on the right only for me. His comments about not being clinical in front of goal are worrying too as I can't imagine the words 'clinical' and 'Daka' appearing in the same sentence!
  7. That's it then, as good as signed. I'm won over!
  8. I doubt he'd want to leave to a club that from the outside, with a points deduction, look doomed to relegation. He will still think himself to be a potential England contender.
  9. But that's a cat surely?
  10. Don't think you could say his heart wasn't in it, this guy doesn't even want to leave Italy. Kante cost about 5m, this chap 25-30! Big difference, bigger risk.
  11. If his heart isn't in it there's no point.
  12. This has a Slimani and Silva smell about it. There are seemingly, like them, no other English clubs overly keen on him. Why? Too much money and no doubt too much in wages for a player that seemingly doesn't really want to be here.
  13. Is Alfredo Pulladipud a reliable source?
  14. You could look at it another way. Soule has been regularly playing against Serie A teams in a tactical league, this fella has been playing against Grimsby and Oadby Town. So it's debatable who'd hit the ground running the best perhaps.
  15. I accept that fully, what I'm saying is that it makes little sense. Surely it's the managers job to evaluate the players he has and, on the day of the match, according to the opposition also, plays a system and tactics that gives his players the best chance of winning. When Top, or any other owner starts thinking they're experts on football and think you can play like Manchester City or Real Madrid without the necessary players, that's when you get problems. Why even employ a manager if you're not going to allow him to manage?
  16. Ideologically though, what does Top actually know and understand? Sometimes, if some of what is said is true, he sounds like just a multimillionaires silly rich kid playing football manager. Surely winning comes first in the most entertaining way as possible. Top can't demand that his team play champagne and oyster football with beer and chips players. Likewise, Marcelo Bielsa's recent comments regarding the current state of today's possession football is becoming less and less attractive to watch also rings true. Presumably Top employed Cooper because he felt him to be the best man for the job at the time. The first priority it surely to try and remain in the Premiership. In which case he has to let Cooper run with it or otherwise why employ a manager in the first place?
  17. He's got nowhere near the quality to play last year's position in the Premiership. I expect to see him alongside Winks which is potentially quite solid when you think about it.
  18. 15m+? We'd be more likely to get 1.5m.
  19. Has he got a Scandinavian brother named Lars Soule?
  20. Yes, I am aware of how it works and I'm also aware that we're owned by multimillionaire but ... I doubt we'll be spending 30m on anyone, we'll see eh?
  21. Hopefully.
  22. We ain't gonna be spending anywhere near the sort of money they'll want.
  23. He scored some early well taken goals but his overall contribution is quite poor. Goes missing (not on purpose, he is a trier) and adds very little. Nice lad but sadly just not up to it in the Premiership and arguably the Championship too.
