  1. 🤣🤣🤣 sorry, I've just googled it! I of course know who you are off here but not the other. I'd best have a listen on Spotify then! 🤣
  2. Thanks but, honestly not being funny, I don't know what you mean by the BSLB pod or Guillem Balague is?
  3. Yes, the players would have been identified to Rudkin by both the recruitment team and including Congerton and Rodgers. The latter particularly having a big say and, if you remember back, a decision was made not to sell certain players to fund further purchases (as was our previous model). Further recruitment was also decided upon at the behest of Rodgers in order to supposedly support him and a European campaign with a bigger squad. I'm sure at the time, at least in theory, most people might have gone along with that. Now I agree, you are absolutely right, as far as I know, that Rudkin in his position of DofF would be responsible for conducting negotiations. What we aren't aware of is what players and agents demanded in order to get them to sign for Leicester who, let's face it, weren't exactly a London, Manchester or otherwise attractive club in particular to sign for at that time. Neither do we know what other clubs may have been willing to pay for them or any other players identified who weren't interested in coming or were otherwise unavailable. When it comes to certain players like Perez £30m plus Vestergaard and Bertrand for example, we know exactly who the driving force behind those were don't we. Either way and whatever pressures came to bear upon Rudkin all negotiations and results would have to be signed off. I would therefore suggest any overspending was due to joint decision making. Not only that, I personally think, without evidence, that Top was completely out of his depth and overtrusting of Rodgers and his big I am salesmanship media hyped blarney and probably more culpable in all of this. Who knew what it took to get certain players to come here, though I do absolutely agree that it was way too much. If we look at the way business has been conducted this season in terms of who we signed or got in on loan, notwithstanding FFP etc, I think most people would agree that a good job has been done all round, yet it's still the same bloke there. Noticeably though Rodgers and Congerton have left though.
  4. Your just making it up as you go along aren't you. You have absolutely no idea whatsoever about his relationships with other clubs and agents etc etc. Neither do you have any idea what Casadei was costing on loan or, IF a suitable other loan had been identified, what the cost of that one would be. As for Rodgers, do you really think it would have been Rudkin's to sack him or would that decision have to be made by the man that actually owns the club? 🤣
  5. Give Winks a rest, we need him for far more important games. I can't see Iheanacho playing again but we need to be getting game time into Cannon, he's our future. Also, unless there really are appearance issues, let's give Akgun some game time because the hapless Mcateer sure isn't cutting the mustard!
  6. It's bugger all to do with the perennial scapegoat Rudkin learning and it's an easy bandwagon to jump on, I'm sure sometimes people only do it to big themselves up and try and be popular. If the club, for whatever reasons, hadn't got the finances (which has been well alluded to by Enzo over and over again), then the chances are, they've not got the finances. It really is as simple as that and Rudkin and others can't do anything about it. You can't sell who nobody wants to buy or who doesn't want to go. Why would they risk potential FFP issues just to keep a few whiney supporters happy? You and I haven't got the faintest idea of the finances or running of the club so why apportion blame to someone when you haven't a clue why other than total guesswork?
  7. Here here absolutely, what's the matter with people.
  8. Lest we forget, we won the Premiership with Albrighton on that side. He's capable of doing that job again as back-up in the Championship.
  9. Putting Mcateer on hardly fills you with confidence. Albrighton is more experienced and would at least shore things up better.
  10. He's not the most guilty party for that.
  11. Couldn't really give a toss about this match, play the kids and squad.
  12. Sounds like a plan 🤣
  13. It seems to be getting easier to get a yellow card now. Look at the collection that Vestergaard and Winks have got but I wouldn't consider either of them a dirty player. Some on here understandably moan when we don't appear aggressive enough, yet in the next breath, when we play a more combative player like Choudhury there are moans. Whilst Choudhury is that way, neither would I describe him as dirty either and there's always room, imo, for someone to play that way. He may make mistakes but I don't think he's ever let us down by being over aggressive or losing his head?
  14. Hamza always seems to attract these sort of comments, no doubt due to his combative style of play. However, it's a bit lazy, repetitive and without reason. Have you checked how many red cards he's had in his career let alone at Leicester? Have you even checked his yellow card tally compared to other Leicester players?
  15. I just don't see those qualities in Mcateer. He may look busy but is rarely where the ball is and contributes little for me.
  16. I agree, total anonymous passenger and wasn't too much better before. I'd prefer Akgun to Mcateer or Praet because at least he gets stuck in and contributes. Praet may be neat and tidy at times but you wouldn't want him next to you in a battle.
  17. No chance whilst Southgate is there. Current form and quality doesn't come into it, you've got to have achieved favourite status. Does anyone for example think that Rashford, Henderson and Philips will be left out of the squad?
  18. You clearly know all the in and outs of the deal, if there was one ... or did you just read a snippet in the notoriously accurate media and leap to a judgement?
  19. I agree and if they're an example of what we can pick up then I'll leave it to them.
  20. Noooooo! I didn't mean that one, you've brought it all back now!
  21. Know what you mean but I'm more looking forward to it. Even if we lost we've still got a great points buffer the others would die for! Now, one of play off finals at Wembley in the past, that's proper emotion and nerves compared to this game because we've got plenty of games after!
  22. Albrighton was playing on the left when we won the Premiership regardless of what he's done elsewhere. I think that's quite qualified personally compared to other left wingers in the Championship. He'd be plenty good enough there and would certainly protect that left hand side too.
  23. Saturday was a blip and we were always going to lose matches. Our opposition would give their teeth to be in our position. Neither of those players are significantly better than what we've got. If Sensai is irrelevant because we didn't sign him so are your choices because we didn't sign them either! The point is that albeit like any deal, they can fail right at the end, the clubs energy was put into a player not only for the last half a season but hopefully the Premiership beyond that. He was a far better target than Rothwell who is limited. As for Brooks, yes, he's a decent player when not injured but weren't there some personality issues with him in the past. My point is that we've got enough cover for that position without wasting money. We're the highest scorers, best defence and still 9 points clear of our nearest rivals. That tends to suggest that Enzo and his team are getting it right. Panic buying or loaning in a poor January window when most clubs didn't do a lot is wise judgement. Yes, if the right player and the right deal could have been done I agree that it would have been nice. But ... you and I are not aware of the finances and certainly not aware of who, if anyone, they were looking at. Just because you don't see a new name doesn't mean they didn't try. Personally, if they couldn't get better than Brooks or Rothwell then perhaps that's a wise decision. It isn't play money it's big business with future financial implications.
  24. Really? Brooks? Another right winger when we have Fatawu, Akgun, Mcateer and Albrighton? See comment about merely collecting shiny things for collecting sake. Is he really better 🤔, either way more wages for people to sit on the bench. We don't need cover either in that position. As for Rothwell, whilst admittedly we could have done with cover in midfield, I hardly think he's a stunning signing. I think the sadly failed pursuit of Sensai was a bit more ambitious and suitable prospect because he's better and was not just for now but also the future. Need to do better than that I think. It's all money at the end of the day and not a football manager game.
  25. True with us but thankfully only a couple of those players are left in the team for such memories. However, the main protagonist for such twichiness has also gone and is now weaving his magic dropping to second place in the Scottish Premiership 🤣
