  1. 6 points ahead is still a great lead that any of our competitors would snap your hand off for. With some supporters you only have to lose one match and mass hysteria breaks out. Did anyone honestly believe we could go all season without losing a few matches?
  2. I think that covers him very well. Hardly a player to cause excitement. As you say, not likely to make many mistakes because he doesn't actually try much.
  3. The loanee has to be as good or better than we have for a particular position we really need one for. Just because Southampton loaned players doesn't mean that they'd be suitable for us, it's irrelevant. There's no point in loaning for loaning's sake just to collect shiny things and keep a few supporters happy. We've already got too many earners at the club doing very little, that's part of the problem. Paying out even more wages for little in return is not an option. The time period of a month in a January market that is renowned for little value is also irrelevant. It could be 6 months and if they've looked and can't find a suitable candidate then it's best to keep your hands in your pockets.
  4. Absolutely and they tried didn’t they. However, you and I don't have a clue whether they tried other targets and failed plus the deal has to be right for Leicester City football club. You can't loan who a club doesn't want to release or who doesn't want to come. Just because no-one came doesn't mean there was a lack of effort or someone has failed in their duties.
  5. What part of FFP or selling before we bought didn't you get?
  6. There are some very big if's and maybe's in what I'm about to write but, firstly, I couldn't have overall blamed Soumare wanting to leave form a number of reasons previously expressed, mainly surrounding Rodgers and just wanting to get out of a depressing ill run Leicester camp who'd been relegated. He was once a really good prospect who was upon transfer to us, sporadically played in an unfamiliar role here either as attacking or more often defensive midfielder role when he was neither. As a previously highly rated 'keeping the ball moving and passer of the ball', aren't these the sort of skills that are now a large basis of our style of football? I don't know how he's faired in Sevilla and how effective he's been but it's a decent level of football. Whilst the Championship, on top of other problems may not have been an attractive proposition, promotion to the Premiership may be but, would he be good enough? Enzo has completely changed Ndidi's game and that of Ricardo. Vestergaard, who had been a player written off by many, has excelled under his management. The aims, discipline, atmosphere and style at the club have gone full circle. Could Enzo perhaps, if given the chance, do something with him? It would be one midfielder less to buy that wouldn't effect FFP. It certainly looks like he'll be coming back to us at the end of the season. With a good Enzo pre-season under his belt who knows eh?
  7. Absolutely, the corner flags used to have to be on alert! 🤣
  8. Can't remember that, can't have been for long and possibly only to cover injury?
  9. Can't ever remember him looking or being fit in the entire time since he's been here. He's always seemed to puff and blow like a big fat girl. Shocking stamina for a professional footballer imo.
  10. It's been so long since he's played he's probably like that fat kid now!
  11. I think it's probably because his early season goals perhaps flattered to deceive. Agreed that you can't deny his effort however, apart from that though and the early season well taken goals, he doesn't honestly seem to offer anything and is rarely positively involved. The game seems to pass him by.
  12. Be honest, he was poor. Just because he's 22 and an academy product doesn't make him immune from reasonable criticism. Tonight his touch was poor, don't think he actually made a forward pass or successful cross let alone even attempt to beat a man. If they are the facts why deny them? It's not slagging him off It's reasonable observation.
  13. He wouldn't necessarily be playing in Abdul's position.
  14. And Jeremy Beadle in goal? Wow. Great that he got a hand to it.
  15. IF Maresca has decided he's not going to be in his plans next season then I agree. After all, he sees him in training every day and will have a good idea what his ceiling of abilities and capabilites will be. To me however, from purely what I've seen on the pitch, I'd far sooner have him than Mcateer. Being cynical also though, could it be that Mcateer and Wanya are getting appearances to perhaps make them more saleable in the summer?
  16. Praet was weak and seemed disinterested last time and it wasn't long before he was panting like a fat girl. I must see different things. 🤣
  17. Thanks 👍🏻
  18. At the time it looked a great idea because nobody saw Vestergaard playing as he has. I'm sure if it wasn't for his initial injury and he'd been playing regularly from the start we'd have seen a different player.
  19. As I said, I knew nothing about it and merely went onto the Internet to see about getting it.
  20. Good luck, not being a killjoy just pointing it out. I think it was in a couple of papers too.
  21. Haven't they just started a crackdown though? Seemingly in Ireland now here? Don't know enough about it tbh though. https://www.cordbusters.co.uk/iptv-war-ireland-shocked-when-they-knocked/ https://www.firesticktricks.com/uk-police-home-visits-pirated-iptv-users.html
  22. I think he's better on the right but his positioning is poor and he gives possession up probably more than anyone else which, in Enzo's system is a bit of a no no. His passing isn't as good as Doyle's either. Doyle just back from long term injury.
  23. Not doubting their potential ability (know nothing about them) but, I do think we need some experience in the side perhaps and not just more young prospects for the future, we're going to have a young inexperienced squad in some positions as it is. They need to be able to play in the Premiership now if we go up.
  24. Dennis Bergkamp's chip past Elliott's before coolley slotting it into the net.
  25. Agreed. I would prefer Nelson over Coady to continue his development and Akgun over Mcateer because I think he has far more to offer. Doyle possibly over JJ on the left.
