Here we go again…

people are hyping him up too much. My grandma could look good in the 2nd division
-
HES PLAYING IN THE SECOND DIVISION. Why didn’t he get a move to the 1st if he’s as good as people think he is? I really think he’s a couple of year away from being a regular for us.
-
he’s playing in what division? And people act like he’s our saviour listen, he’s a good player. But he’s really not up to championship standard. Yet.
-
good grief. If that’s a ‘ highlight reel tha gets people excited then no wonder we are in the mess we are in. not saying he isn’t a good player but totally bang average highlight reel
-
what I take from that is, if we are relegated, it’s fine to make substantial losses as long as it doesn’t come from over spending on players? I guess it would basically mean we will be relying on freebies and the kids but we can rundown some big contracts without getting into issues with the regulators..

No, the specific Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR) used by the Premier League and Championship do not apply to EFL League One. Instead, clubs in League One (and League Two) operate under a separate set of financial regulations. Here are the key details: Entertainment and Sports Law Journal Salary Cap Management Protocol (SCMP): League One clubs must adhere to SCMP, which is a system that ties player spending directly to a percentage of the club's turnover. Owner Investment Restrictions: Recent changes (as of late 2024/2025) have introduced tighter controls on owner investments in League One, restricting how much of an owner's cash can be used for player spending. Purpose: While PSR in higher leagues focuses on limiting overall losses over a 3-year period, League One’s rules are designed to ensure clubs operate within their means based on income, rather than relying on unsustainable owner funding. Relegated Clubs: If a club is relegated from the Championship to League One, they may still have to account for Championship-level financial regulations for the monitoring period during which they were in the second tier. BBC +4 In short, League One uses SCMP/turnover-based rules, not the PSR loss-limit rules. BBC +1

i would expect it needs to go through as quickly as possible to avoid any legal challenges to our potential relegation. If it doesn’t, it would be a fair question for us to ask how can we be relegated without a final decision on the points deduction
-
See, MON shouldn’t have bothered with playing in Europe, should have joined a championship relegation dogfight with us instead..

This thread is now completely pointless. We don’t know what division we will even be in so we don’t know who we NEED comparative to the division we will be in.

Poker games as team bonding excersises?

Ayew would be in the physio room for a whole month if he even tried this…
-
hmm… not really, I don’t think. the failure to report your finances in time, is a different charge to exceeding the financial spending limits. kind of like going through a red light whilst speeding. the police would have every right to charge you with both, in my opinion.

too much pressure on Fatawu and no product coming out the other side. We might not concede as many but Double mark Fatawu all game with this system and we will hardly score any goals

Scotland will be based in Charlotte- about 20 miles from me. Shame it’s not England as I might have made an effort to go.

It is truly terrible decision making

so the original plan was for kingy to have it for longer. In the mean time they were negotiating for someone and they were happy to wait for his decision. Ultimately he said no. Back up was then needed.
