Princess of Wales visiting today, Belgrave gate, wonder what she thought of it? Maybe she'll post a comment later in the thread.

Not his fault I agree - just he had an easy ride at RB for years so he's under a bit of pressure now.

Completely agree - worth listening above to what Simon Jordan says and he's right, the CEO will have his hands tied ultimately by Top - he could recommend all sorts of strategic change but if Top says no then if he's any good the new CEO would resign. Top wants people who he can control and with Davies and Rudkin he has that. If Top has a brain cell he should of appointed an external CEO and then get him to bring his own CFO or be involved in the process, alongside a new Sporting director. Top can then sit back and say get on with it and perform.

As head of marketing his first job should be to sort this shit show of a page relating to senior leadership, it looks like someone from KS3 had put it together as a work experience project. I don't work in branding but understand the basics, the pictures are all different sizes, the backdrop is different for different people, we got the pitch, some wardrobes, and the CEO is on the bench. They have a literal full time photographer that could sort those out in a cpl of hours - some if the faces have been replaced with a flag? https://www.lcfc.com/pages/en/senior-management Secondly, the page doesn't flow very well, everything is centred, you could have a small bio under each person for example. I know this is chicken shit stuff, but they should be striving for excellence in everything and it just shows how inept they all are. EDIT: and just to finish my rant, this should of all been sorted ahead of yesterdays announcements - but guess what, it isn't. Shambles -
I don't think this is all bad, standard FT reaction. It will give us options in the summer

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/tennis/articles/cly88dz44m1o Don't want to go too two footed but her coaching situation is becoming tiresome, she's basically says here she does want a coach but she doesn't want them to tell her what to do? It might be deflection for her poor season last year but I'd imagine working with her is so frustrating.

Would be the kind of signing Rudkin loves - old, over the hill, bad attitude and expensive.

Heard a former Navy commander on radio 5 this morning, going in 2 footed about how backward and unprepared the Navy is in modern times. Sounded a bit worrying tbh
-
Alex Herrick - apologies if you are mates with him but anyone who talks about themselves in the 3rd person on LinkedIn are generally complete w@nkers - in my experience, as they tend to lack any self confidence so have to try and propel themselves via LinkedIn as though they have someone writing the bio for them - another LinkedIn pet hate of mine.

The appointment for the vacant FD role worries me, you’ve effectively got the outgoing FD now heading up the recruitment for the new one. If you’re sensible and ambitious you should always recruit people that are more intelligent than you, firstly it makes your own role easier and secondly you’ve got people around you to push you. He’s going to be sitting round the table with Top and Rudkin and he’s got 2 options - either the above or he’ll look for a yes man - a similar character that JR would employ - it will be his first big decision he needs to get right and I’ve got some serious doubts as a collective board they will. The finance side of running the business over the next 3-5 years is going to need someone serious horsepower, with someone who’s got a track record in the industry of patching up a balance sheet, fending off some tricky audits which at least the next 2 will be. They really need to get a high calibre candidate in

He’s going nowhere - the bloke has just been promoted. Needs to be against Top and KP, if they go then Rudkin does too.- 236 replies

I’m don’t know the guy but he must talk a good game to go from FC to CEO in a handful of years - he could be really good before I slate him but this is Leicester City we’re talking about. Yes a lot of CFOs will transition into CEO roles but they tend to be the more commercially astute ones. I’m staggered they haven’t gone with someone external, as for the Rudkin role it’s a joke at this point and it’s now 100% concrete he isn’t going anywhere. if they wanted to appoint the FD its lazy to say they are now recruiting a new one, seems another afterthought - I’ll try and find who the recruiter is and may have a stab myself.

I get the impression you've never been. I didn't mention Muslims so I have no idea why you've brought that up, I've found the Muslim culture in the UAE to be very pleasant. I'm not ''getting to my paradise'' I'm pointing out life is less stressful compared to when you are walking the streets full of crime, litter everywhere, people stabbing each other, when is the next tax rise round the corner, a shambolic health system etc etc etc
