Because £2m is better than £0. Of course there are contracts with inferior relegation clauses, could be a combination of that and/or psr. None of us know really. -
Cant get on board with the Land Rover Defender. I've not come across one normal person that drives them, they are ridiculously expensive for what you get, unless you opt for the cheap postman pat 3 door version. I can't see the appeal, yet they seem to be everywhere.

He'll be knocking around with Hamza next season, anything is possible.

Very good 10 years ago, still a good runner now but will fail an MOT in the not too distant future.

You love your wife I’m sure but you wouldn’t keep going back to her if she was getting a rogering every week from somebody else.

Wayne Rooney another - had a mega career but he couldn't really do it in the top flight beyond 30/31 - by that age he looked like he'd been on a building site his entire adult life.

Should or shouldn't? -
Think it was summer 23 too. The poor sod will have plenty on his plate, and as an internal promotion probably doing it all for an extra £20K a year the cheapskates.

Did Kevin Davies lose his job then after Simon Capper went to Newcastle?

His lingering presence back in the Netherlands whilst everyone is on their holiday, you mean. If it get's to Monday and he isn't gone, what's next? Air raid sirens and the final supper I guess -

Don't you understand the concept of a potential clause which would reduce his settlement, potentially by a cpl of million. Its worth hanging on of that's the case? We all agree the club is in a mess, but it would be financial negligence to do this just so a few fans aren't worried about the next manager. I understand the club's track record of faffing about is abysmal but this time it's warranted. We aren't going to make a statement on RvN to say he will be sacked in a couple of weeks so there isn't ''silence'' it's not how it works. -

How much can they pay him vs a PL club though?

Wout to Monaco (loan with ~€8m option, official)

Him wanting to leave, and us getting a sensible deal over the line is a different story. If we cant get a fee a loan with 100% of his wages covered would be just about acceptable. The club's track record with either is mediocris -
July 2026

Do you think John Rudkin cares about aligning transfer strategy with the new manager?
-
Whats the manager doing between now and 1st July? Secondly, let them at least attempt to get the right person - what is the point in rushing? (I have no faith they will appoint someone sensible either)
-
I think this is spot on - having been involved in plenty of settlements in my time the last thing they should do from a legal stand point is give RvN a whiff of that either in writing or in person, as RvN's lawyers would use that as collateral to negotiate a better settlement. OK so no-one at the club has spoken to him - agreed in normal circumstances this is poor, but they are probably keeping their distance so when they pull the trigger it's clean. RvN is still getting paid, the club are still fulfilling their contractual obligations with him etc. From a club perspective this is a distraction ahead of next season, if they are lining someone up in the background (I have no faith who that would be) then as long as this is done and dusted in the next few weeks then meh so what. We still need a clear out of KP, Rudkin and Whelan.

If ageism was treated as seriously as racism there would be plenty of banned accounts on here!
