  1. Only if he did it in character as Steve Barnes.
  2. Do the players still boycott Radio Leicester?
  3. He probably knows they’ve got more hotels they can sell to themselves to cover it.
  4. To be fair to the club as well. It is mad that the BBC just happily print PR for someone.
  5. It’s not just Percy. Seems like a few journalists have been ‘briefed’. Wonder if they’re trying to get ahead of more Balague bollocks.
  6. Work on the fielding for the next week. Seen enough to say there’s a decent team in there, but need to get the basics.
  7. Vestergaard is just standing outside Stamford Bridge with it at the moment.
  8. Yep, someone who will also pay the over £200m they owe to 777 back. Right shambles.
  9. This after they were allowed to change the pitch in the World Cup semi last year as well.
  10. Not sure if it’s been confirmed yet, but basically the second semi in Guyana is at a much more favourable time slot in India (8.30pm compared to 6am). The talk is that while normally who plays where depends on where they finish in the second stage, wherever India finish they will be in that second semi. Edit - Cricinfo say it’s in the terms of the competition. Also bizarre having a reserve day for the first semi final, but not the second. - https://www.espncricinfo.com/story/mens-t20-world-cup-2024-india-allotted-second-semi-final-on-june-27-in-providence-guyana-1433782?platform=amp
  11. Have heard Harborough Town persuaded Riley O’Sullivan to sign from (also got a fair bit of money) Spalding United by offering him £800 a week, which I can believe, but also a £50,000 signing on fee. That’s surely got to be bollocks hasn’t it? Even £5,000 would be mad. If true, kind of shows what the likes of Coalville and Loughborough are up against.
  12. Wild guess…left arm spinner?
  13. I don’t know if it was Rudkin, but the board as a whole deserve credit for taking what was a massive gamble on Maresca and it paying off.
  14. No slating from me. I admire your optimism…..as I would any creepy old man who you see in court reports for stalking supermodels or celebrities he’s no chance with.
  15. It’s not Maresca delaying a decision, it’s because nobody can get through to him as Vestergaard’s agent is continually ringing hoping his client can get an eight year contract at Chelsea.
  16. Hopefully the compensation includes one of their hotels so we can avoid PSR.
  17. Slightly more deflated than I was already given it’s more uncertainty we don’t need. Already thought we’d start off next season worse off than we were last season and the season before. Maybe we’ll pull off some amazing cheap signings, create a whole new Premier quality defence, not have to sell KDH and the points deduction won’t be as big. We’ll see come the season’s eve.
  18. Not quite the same, but I think we’ll be the favourites to go down come the start of the season. A new manager in for a favourite to go down?
  19. Unknown? He’s been a manager for 16 years and made his way up from the fourth tier in Sweden. As others have said though, no way he comes here. Potential incoming managers will treat us as bottom of the table by a gap. Also likely to have to rebuild due to a number out of contract players but have to sell first. I can imagine the board getting turned down by a lot of potential managers. Corberan or Robins is probably the realistic ones likely to take that challenge on.
  20. Think it’s a poor move all round, no matter your opinions on Maresca. Replacing Pochettino with a relative newbie like Maresca is mad, a huge gamble. However, it’s worse for us, throwing us into even more uncertainty while facing financial pressures to sell and a points deduction. We’re not an attractive prospect for managers at the moment.
  21. Not sure if it’s still there but Foxy’s Bar on Magaluf beach was/is.
  22. Yep really is. Especially with Loughborough Dynamo doing basically the same. Is the council excuse a bit of a smokescreen given presumably Coalville must have had similar issues to Dynamo (who admittedly have a much smaller fan base.)
