#bantz Also, if we do go for over 700 runs again, there’s no specialist spinner to take on a large part of the workload. -
If we do lose KDH, could he do the job of driving us forward and being a box to box midfielder? I certainly think I’d prefer him central to out wide.

Don’t they finish well every season, after being disappointing mid-season, sack the manager, only to rally and finish 12th? -
Yeah, I’d forgotten that one as weren’t there.

Did you type this before the Hill dismissal? Think it’s even worse. Ha - guess not. -
I think all fans get waned about all of this as well. We’ve been a bit unlucky in that it’s never really fell for us to do it in the last few decades. Only one I remember in my 30-odd years of following Leicester was after the last game at Filbert Street.

Could they spend anymore though with PSR? Is that why they sold players, including one to Burnley? They still made a record loss of around £35m and look set to have a points deduction next season for missing due payments to other clubs. If so, and they couldn’t spend, is this part of the reason behind the seemingly widening gap?

Championship Play Offs

Wasn’t there actually quite a lot of action in that, it was just all one end and our keeper (Pool or Ward) played a blinder? -

If you sign 50-odd players, surely you should get more than four decent ones. -

What is the objective for next season?

Nah 18th last time. How far behind is your stream? -
To be fair, Ajax can’t get much worse than they’ve done this season. Would be a very comfortable job for someone still largely unknown looking to boost their reputation on the European stage and at a club historically renowned for passing football. I can understand why some might say they don’t care whether he goes or not, but also do think people are underestimating how a new manager would likely make us even less attractive to prospective players than we already are as a newly promoted side with financial issues likely to start on minus points.

It’s Congleton now at Atalanta, isn’t it? That probably answers your question.

What does it say? It’s behind a paywall. -

Yeah, that’s true. I guess Hill or Handscome or even Kimber (if not bowling) could take the gloves and Cox drop out. I think he’ll play though. It’s nice there’s options. -

Budinger will surely open the batting after not featuring yet in the CC. Doubt we’ll play two spinners, though could depend how much they trust Kimber in the shorter format. -

Doubt it. The club owes 777 about £200m don’t they? -
Villa’s formation and style requires a hard working and pressing forward, literally the last thing you’d want Nacho to do. Wouldn’t surprise me to see him in Saudi Arabia. I’ve always liked him and he probably has been value for money for £25m in general over the years. I think a lot of managers have been frustrated by his work rate and it’s probably best he leaves. It means we probably need to bring in at least two strikers now on a limited budget which isn’t going to be easy.

They wouldn’t have gone round his house for the promotion party if they didn’t. Don’t think I’ve ever heard of it happening before. Would have thought you’d want to party as far away from the manager as possible. There’s bigger problems with the club than the manager at the minute and hopefully they’re all sat together now and working out the plan for the pre-season and transfer window.

I don’t understand the point of promoting The Hundred format. It’s not different enough from T20 that people are going to pick it up across the world. It’s just doubling down on the mistakes the ECB made out of blind arrogance now. -
Who do you keep for the Prem
when_you're_smiling replied to HankMarvin's topic in Leicester City Forum
Honestly, a fit Ricardo (which is a big ask) is the only defender I think is definitely good enough for the Prem. I think we need a completely new back line but guessing we ain’t going to be able to afford that. Probably a lot of it isn’t down to who we keep, it’ll be who we’ve got with the money available. That’ll probably include a lot of loan signings (presuming we’re allowed to). -

Yep, and when it was the 17 behind they had two games in hand so if we did finish 10 points above them they’d have only really made up one point in the second half of the season. Imagine if we did finish 10 points above them and the EFL bring in a 10 point deduction and we still go up on goal difference. -
Don’t think I’ve ever seen any players (nearly) learn the words to WYS! Amazing.
