Leicestershire County Cricket Club

Was in the squad for the 2nds but not sure if it was entirely rained off. Guessing they don’t want to risk him in a full game just yet. -
Apparently, yellow cards in the match are wiped clean for the penalty shootout. No, me neither.

His stats make him look more like a one day player. Average of over 36 with the ball and only taken 10 wickets in 15 games in the county champ and three of those were in one innings. His CC batting average is only 17 as well, but averages over 50 in List A games boosted by a 150. Seems more like a Roman Walker if his injury is worse than thought. -

Stringer wishes there was live BBC TV footage of a chase around Coalville with the Total Motion logo prominent on his car! -

In unsurprising news, Leics have not been selected for a women’s side https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/68841517 -

Loads of free parking on the roads around for Champ matches. -
What a stupid comment. Women’s club have come up from the very bottom. Spurs were heavy favourite. Thought Leicester were the better side for the majority of it and didn’t get the luck. Should have had a pen, how the Spurs player didn’t even get a yellow for a knee high challenge and hit the bar.

I’ve got PTSD from hearing the words ‘too slow by Leicester’.

I thought there was a fair few there yesterday (for a County Champ match that is) and it was busiest just after lunch. -

I genuinely admire your optimism, but I also can’t believe you are genuinely a Leicester fan! -
We didn’t create chances though. Wish someone would point that out to him.

We were 17 points ahead of Leeds at one point who also had a few games in hand, but yeah, to third it was 10/11.
-
The worst thing is, we’ll probably suddenly be brilliant in part of the semi final, enough to get through and get all the hope back…..and then be absolutely dreadful at Wembley.

Yes. Loads. Sheff Utd lost 11 last year. -
Both goals this week were from that casual arrogance. Faes seemed to think he didn’t even have to press the defender.
-
I’d love to know how many of those hit one of our heads.
-
With anybody new to managing you’re going to get lows, but it’s about learning from those lows. If you can’t learn you’re not cut out to be a manager. We had one up front against six defenders at the end.

New nadir for me where two players were arguing about which one of them was going to throw it back into our own half.

Had a shot on target in the last game.

Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'
when_you're_smiling replied to ClaphamFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
And with the timing of releasing the statement too. If we win the league and definitely if we go up through the play offs I hope we just don’t lift the trophy. Sod posing around their branding while they’re trying to harm the club as much as possible. Leave Rick Parry standing there like a lemon. -

Harborough aren’t out of the woods yet in terms of possible points deductions. Apparently to be discussed by the league next week. -
Good point. It is ridiculous playing Tues and Fri though. Pep and especially Klopp moan if they have to play 12.30pm kick off on a Saturday even if it’s at home. They’d be getting the fans to riot if they were scheduled on the Friday.

As other have pointed out, the actual 90 minutes of playing time watching the 15-16 season was agony, even if everything around it was so glorious no other fan base has experienced it. The final season at Filbert Street was meant to be a celebration of both history and a new modern club but felt dismal on so many levels and obviously dropping into League One for the first time felt nigh on world ending at the time. This season has been nowhere near as stressful. Think one, a lot of fans under estimate what the Championship can be like, something entirely understandable given the first few months of breezing it. But probably more importantly many are just disillusioned with modern football more than anything. The idea we’ve got to go up because we’ll have a bit more money, (but still not enough to even likely replace what we’ll lose), is contrary to the usual feeling of hope and bettering yourself you would normally get about the possibility of promotion.

Millwall (A) - Post match 1-0
when_you're_smiling replied to BigWesMorgan's topic in Leicester City Forum
Sheff United lost 11 last year. Some people were saying that first half was the worst of the season, but that second half really was the worst half we’ve had. Absolutely dreadful. Completely outplayed out thought and out fought. Didn’t look up for it. Played 43 minutes of the second half trying to play a passing game when they were being out passed by Millwall who were by far the better side in the second period. The fact we nearly snatched a point when we didn’t start playing until the 88th minute makes it even worse.
