The whole Savage thing was totally needless on his part. He was popular here (voted Fans Player of the Season twice; I don't think Izzet or Vardy got one) and I don't remember much ill feeling towards him leaving. He got a reasonable reception with Birmingham then acted the prat. Could have nipped it in the bud but kept it going for the rest of his career. His own fault he isn't more liked. King would have been great if we had a system similar to last season and he played a Dewsbury-Hall type role. Probably too lightweight and not quick enough for central midfield but the lad could get into the box and finish and link play neatly.

Yeah he probably was. Think he is regretting some of his antics after he left, too. I just like the King story of being a huge player in helping to turn the club around under Nige first time and, even as he became less prominent, still scored some huge goals (West Ham and Swansea in the Great Escape, Everton on the title day).
