If you think a goalkeeper of Begovic quality and experience is coming here as 3rd choice, you need a reality check. Storlarcyk, Begovic, Bausor are our options next season IMO. Faith needs to be placed in Jakub - he has remained patient over the years and has took his opportunity last season. Begovic is a more than capable backup and hopefully, his experience can guide Storlarcyk cement the position as his own.

It is a fair comparison. #10's are focal to getting your team up the pitch, Maddison could do this frequently. Bilal may have this quality in a number of seasons. But at this moment in time, people have placed him on such a high pedestal, but truth to told, he only has 5 goal involvements in 32 games.

Good back up option.

Stephy Mavididi (no real rumour, some clubs "interested.")
scinnell replied to Tuna's topic in Transfer Talk
Every player has his price. Leave for 15+ million or stay and tear up the championship like last season. He has proved that he can't handle the step up to the Premier League and IMO he will never improve his end product. We are well stocked on the wing to cover a big sale and players like Poku are on the free agent market. Estimated book value of 3.75million, so some profit to be made there for PSR. -
Signed for 6.5 million I think, so still think selling Mads would be better for PSR if he has any interest..

Are there any examples of players that went on to better careers from Watford, Burnley or Everton? I've just thought of Brownhill which he developed during his time at Burnley. I don't think those clubs have the facilities to be blessed with up and coming players, but Dyche has shown he will play and develop players regardless of age i.e McNeil, Branthwaite and Brownhill.
-
Some wanted RVN because he promotes youth, however we have seen little evidence of that until relegation was confirmed then he gave out some charity minutes here and there. I hate this Dyche very rarely promotes youth argument. Can you give me examples of young players that have gone on to better their careers while Dyche was at Watford, Burnley and Everton? The two that I can think of is McNeil and Branthwaite, yes the former he signed, but he progressed both of their careers and made them better players. Dyche has the best credentials to sort out a club in turmoil and has previously worked on a shoestring budget which we need over yet another gamble. IMO Nelson is our best prospect and I think Dyche will have a great impact on his career, simular to Branthwaite.

Unfortunately we are well stocked in that position with Fatawu, Mavididi, Monga, Alves and McAteer - plus the two clowns Ayew and DCR. But one more wouldn't hurt on a free. I don't think he would break the bank.

I do agree with you mate. But ultimately the top (no pun intended) ensures that the CEO does their job efficiently and held accountable. If the owner does his job correctly, then the rest should run like a well oiled machine, which it did under Vichai's hands on approach and ultimately, led to the clubs greatest chapter. I'm not saying Rudkin and Whelan should not be held accountable, but Top is letting the club drift and in turn they become scapegoats because of it. The book stops with the owner IMO.
-
Yes to which I said in my original message. Vichai was hands on, sadly that has not been inherited by his son. Whelan and Rudkin are scapegoats to his sons incompetence. Read.
-
The club was well run for years under Vichai, Rudkin, Whelan et al. As I have said, people have left and not been replaced with quality. They need support in the boardroom. To throw insults around such as BJ giver extraordinaire shows your short term memory and it's very disrespectful when these people were a big factor in the clubs most successful period. As I have said, Whelan and Rudkin are merely a scapegoat for a incompetent owner who is incapable of making decisions to run this football club.
-
In all fairness, it was "achieved" when Rudkin and Whelan led the club to a 5000-1 Premier League. Since then, people have left and we haven't replaced with the same quality. Vichai likely had a more hands on approach too. It's clear to see that competent football people need to be added to the board to support Whelan and Rukdin. Both are just a scapegoat for Top's incompetence IMO.

I think the talk is around Christmas time, but I think Hamza and JJ is adequate cover for 4th choice until then. If we are fortunate inside the next few seasons to achieve promotion, I want the club to be able to strengthen the starting 11, not use the excuse that we've heard so much that they need to get rid of players first. Use this opportunity as a reset.
-
Prioritise trimming the squad, strengthen central midfield with a ST and get rid of two of the three clowns at the back - it looks like Faes and Coady now.
-
Fine with this. The club needs to live with the ridiculous contract they offered last summer. Let's not forget he was up there with the best Championship centre backs a year ago and he has his last World Cup place to play for. It's important to get rid of the two other clowns in Faes and Coady now. Nelson, Vesterguard, Okoli and Souttar is adequate cover for me.
-
Is this just an agent move for a new contract? Rather cynical I know, but is another team going to pick up a crocked player and a complete contraindication to what Riccy implies on Instagram.
-
I can imagine we needed to insert a low relegation fee to get a player with such high potential in the first place. His agent most likely pushed for that to safeguard his player to the inevitable, but allowed Bilal to showcase his talent for a year in the prem and put him in the shop window. I'm all for bashing Rudkin, but these deals are so complex. I highly doubt Rudkin goes into negotiations with we want X player AND to insert a relegation release clause 😂
-
Probably his biggest season yet to make a starting spot his own next season with Skipp and possibly Winks for competition. If we have a transfer embargo, Hamza may be given a run of games which he hasn't had before. With his love for the club, I hope he takes it. Sick of watching players who do not care about the club.

Wout to Monaco (loan with ~€8m option, official)
scinnell replied to CloudFox's topic in Transfer Talk
Have you got any examples of this potential? All that I have seen this season is misplaced passes that have led to opposition chances. He made so many errors in that first half at Brighton, but he scored a header and showed some fight in his celebration, so that is okay. As I said above, best of a bad bunch. Edit; not to forget that cameo at Goodison Park 😂 -
Wolves would be a great fit to fill that Cunha hole, along with giving him time to develop.

What is the obsession with Okoli? Yes he shows passion and desire and he is the best of a bad bunch at the minute, but he doesn't particularly stand out and I can't see him improving. Our backline needs a complete refresh which includes Souttar and Nelson. -
Happy with that. Good championship player that will have a part to play in such a transitional season.

Premier League has charged LCFC with an alleged breach of PSR
scinnell replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Truth be told, nobody has an idea, purely guesswork. Sure similar figures were branded around last summer. -
Sure he has another year on his contract?
-
9m towards PSR too 👏
