  1. Honestly I don't necessarily disagree with you but at this point I'm clinging onto hope and faith we can do it. I don't think we'll get anything tomorrow but I do feel from Preston/Wednesday/Swansea we have chance of getting maximum points before tougher games resume again. Last time we were in this position we conceded very little but also scored little, but now we score but concede a lot too. Be interesting to see if Rowett shakes the defence up tomorrow.
  2. Last time we went there we took both tiers, sold out both, and it was a midweek game. You think it would be same again especially for a bank holiday.
  3. Plenty. Four blocks still open.
  4. Wasn't it always obvious Chelsea cheated as they started the whole corruption in the league? That's how I've always seen them, just an earlier version of Manchester City. Both clubs won fvck all for years and would have continued too without all the money and corruption.
  5. Now confirmed 12:30 KO.
  6. Booked my hotel months ago in preparation, didn't think it would be a relegation 6 pointer though
  7. If it was as easy as you just described, then football would be boring. I thought we’d beat QPR but we didn’t, not sure how people are surprised as we are a shocking team hence we’re in a relegation battle. On the other hand, everyone said we’d get battered at Middlesbrough and at Ipswich but we didn’t. After Watford we have three games we can get 9 points from. Do I think it’ll be as easy as that? No. But I have to have some belief otherwise there’s no point supporting the club. Football is all about blind hope, at pretty much every level, form goes out the window in this sport for nearly every club every week. That’s why there’s so many strange results, that’s why Blackburn go to Millwall and win, without blind hope I have nothing left.
  8. Agree with all that but also keeping a sense of optimism and think Rowett will keep us up.
  9. They don’t usually open the far ends at Hillsborough. It’s usually the middle of both tiers.
  10. It’s ridiculous, rewarding Champions League football for nothing.
  11. Newcastle shouldn’t have even been in it anyway. Scraped 5th place last season and lost about 12 league games ffs.
  12. I still think Southampton will get 6th.
  13. English and Spanish teams have dominated the CL over the past decade but we've had more teams make the final than any other country. In that period alone we've seen Liverpool (three times), Manchester City (two times), Chelsea and Tottenham all make the final. I think the PL is overrated worldwide, Sky hype it up, but you can't deny over the past decade it's been represented well (mainly down to Pep and Klopp coming to the Country, granted).
  14. Agreed. People also seem to forget there are ups and downs for every team along the way. Football isn't predictable, nobody would have predicted Blackburn to win at Millwall on Saturday, that's how it goes. We will be 23rd then maybe move out of the relegation zone the following week. I believe in Rowett, I've seen enough in his time here that he will do enough to keep us up.
  15. We need 9 points from Preston, Wednesday, Swansea. We can do it. I still think we can stay up. I don't expect anything from Watford on Saturday but I didn't expect anything from Middlesbrough or Ipswich yet we took two points. Strange results will happen, results nobody expects, that's football. Still got to believe and no point being negative. Oh and stop writing "Bristol" when there are two professional football clubs in the same City.
  16. Rodri is still there, played last night, but overall I agree. That group of players that won so much has either moved on or has come to its end. Man City still might win a domestic trophy but they're not at the level they once were. Some of the players they have bought recently aren't the same level either. Guehi for example, decent Premier League defender but nothing more. Look at Madrid's second goal yesterday, he is like a statue when Vinicius is already anticipating where the cross is going.
  17. April is key. Preston H, Wednesday A, Swansea H are all winnable.
  18. For me he is below average. He makes mistakes, same mistakes, time and time again. It's not even the first goal on Saturday, it's the third one too, his inability to decide whether to come or not, doesn't install any confidence in the players. Goalkeeper is such a key position and any decent side has at least a decent goalkeeper. But, still, if it's so easy as people have been posting, for average players to play in better teams and perform better/look better, then why do the best teams in the world by the best players? Why did Man City go and buy Donnarumma when they could have stuck anyone in goal? Our whole defensive unit has been a shambles this season but a better goalkeeper would have had more clean sheets (Ipswich H as an example) or we would have more points (Preston A as an example). And of course a goalkeeper has his errors highlighted more but we haven't got a good striker, a player to rely on scoring goals, so our first priority needs to be keeping clean sheets.
  19. Isn't that when King Power formed us?
  20. I still think we'll stay up.
  21. Spurs voted for a Super League, it would be hilarious if they went down. A "top 6 club" playing in the second tier.
  22. Molly Malone gets sang every home game in SK1.
  23. This happened last time we were there. We sold out first allocation / tier and received the other one.
  24. Would also help if the defenders actually jumped and goalkeeper wasn't so undecided. Whenever we defend a set piece I always think we're going to concede. Zero confidence in the goalkeeper or defenders to deal with anything.
