After International Break - Clueless as ever?
Fox92 replied to Collymore's topic in Leicester City Forum
Were we 14th when he came in? Genuienly. Can’t remember. Also I didn’t say he was a great manager or anything like that, why do people seem to drop to sarcasm on here so much. You said he hasn’t had much of an impact but two clean sheets must be an impact given we couldn’t keep them at all. Appointing Rowett was always going to be defensively minded first, I don’t think anybody expected us to be free flowing. Don’t have a clue what PPG is. All I know is he walked into a mess and has had to play against some of the best teams in the division so far. QPR, granted, was ridiculously poor and only the game I was angry with during Rowett’s small time here. I still believe he will keep us up, even if you laugh at it. -

Aside from the fact he's got us 2 clean sheets in 7 games. When was the last time we had that, September? -
I don't disagree with you. I hate people, our own fans, putting our own club down but those sort of people were bought by King Power years ago they genuinely believe we owe everything to King Power. Very weird. Forest don't play down their achievements, why would they, but we have this attitude of "they live in the past". Despite the fact we now do it playing videos before every home game and people standing clapping it. Unreal behaviour. Forest fanbase act like a big club, our fanbase act like a club that were lucky to be in the top flight.

Hope Gary enjoyed Lisbon. He can enjoy more time there after he's kept us up too. -
It's been like this for years though, it's not a new thing. I've moved now but where I used to be I had people behind me that used to talk about work during the game. There's always been people that "meet up", so to speak, for a game and it's not just at Leicester. Football now is marketed/targeted at a variety of people, the passionate fan is not a reflection of a football ground. That's why there's so many day tripper people everywhere. Every club is the same but we only see it more because we support Leicester and don't go to other clubs games.

Also defended Mason Greenwood.

Tbh I've been plenty of times - I think it's my most visited away ground - with no issues. But for me you can see why there have been issues. Looking forward to another visit next Monday as always..
-
Tbf teams do need refreshing regardless of success, I think we did keep the same team for too long and it reached it's limits. The issue is we bought rubbish players to replace them (Daka, Vestergaard, Soumare all came in that summer for a total of nearly £60m!). From the 11 that started at Forest that game I think only Rodgers had signed 1 (Justin) as, technically, Tielemans was here before but on loan. That game was a disgrace, Rodgers was probably right to call it out but what he got wrong was then persisting with them the following season. That summer we only bought in Faes (another waste of money) and Smithies despite the fact we lost Schmeichel which was massive. Persisting with Ward was relegation there and then. Those two summers were awful. Mind you, even way back after we won the league our transfer activity was awful.
-
Not doubting it but the state of that stand is a joke. There's been too many incidents, even before Liverpool. Needs changing.
-
This was the one. Look at at the state of those signings, all shit.
-
I've tried to block that season out. Aside from winning at Forest, Peterborough away and everything after was horrific. The play offs were horrific too. I just looked and we won 3 games in 17. I remember how bad some of those games were - Wednesday H, Charlton H, Millwall H, Barnsley A (I think that was the one where Marshall lost it)...
-
I've been to Hillsborough many times and it doesn't get better. Those tunnels are too small and a danger at full time or if you're later getting in prior to kick off (plus for those in the lower tier there is only one). As I said earlier in the thread I don't understand how it hasn't been replaced, or at least changed.
-
Both tiers got reduced as a result.
-
Mine have just turned up today.
-
It was reduced following Newcastle’s problems there the other season.
-
No, but it says they won't be posted out until Monday.
-
I always delete their emails without reading them, just to be petty. But I've just had the text through They're pushing it.
-
I wouldn't be surprised if it's something to do with safety and people need spreading out. Leppings Lane is horrific and the lower tier only has the one exit. I don't know how that stand hasn't been replaced.
-
Is it because the renewal process doesn't start until next week? I've just logged in and on the tickets section there's nothing about next season yet.
-
You don't become a player like Vardy without putting everything in yourself too. Pearson told him to not quit, and probably did build his confidence up, but that alone doesn't turn you into a better player. I hate Vardy being compared to shit players with comments like "this was Vardy once". Daka has been through enough managers here, different styles and different personalities, and nothing has changed with him.
-
Last time we got relegated it only turned out good because we appointed Pearson. Without that appointment who knows. A relegation is never good, a reset only works with the right manager.
-
Not sure on your circumstance but I'm staying over the Friday and Saturday nights, train down on Friday after work.
-
Also he has missed some of the biggest chances this season. Stoke A and Cov H both spring to mind. Why do people still want to see him upfront.
-
Yes but you have until April 29th to opt out.
