Has a period of mourning been announced in Wales yet?
-
So, to clarify, you believe he was up for the fight last season, but isn't this season? Im sure he would have been capable of getting ready for the night out if he had played the full 90. Cooper has Skipp stripped off and ready to come on before the physio even got to Winks. Aside from Rodgers I can't think of any manager that would continue to play a player that has a muscle strain. He brings good leadership to the team for me, he's always talking to players and has top notch attitude. We've had far too many shrinking violets on the pitch in the past 5 years, it's nice to have a player with a bit of personality. Not particularly outstanding technically or physically at Prem level I'd agree. But for me, he's definitely a fighter and a great player to have on the pitch. He understands the game and it shows. Being someone capable of independent thought it clearly bothered him having to work to Coopers tactics when it's obvious the guy was hampering us with his tactics. Not a surprise that Vardy also had plenty to say when he came off against Chelsea.

Haha yep... Under Cooper we weren't playing any football, be it ugly or nice. The players out there were given a general position and then generally, once we were losing they'd play on instinct and rescure the game.

Think you're in the wrong thread.

Just when I think I couldn't love Winksy anymore he goes and pulls a stunt like that at the weekend <3 Considering I was totally underwhelmed with his signing I love the man.

For all those bigging Moyes up - by the time he left West Ham were spending around £90m a season in wages. So it's hardly like he was working with pennies. Not to say he's a bad manager, but he was basically hitting par. Par would be a massive improvement on Cooper though, who was struggling to finish a round due to losing all his balls on the first 9. Would be good to hear an overall strategy for the next 5 years from Top or Rudkin to say what the aims are and what they're going to do to try and achieve them.

Youri, Maddison Barnes are the type of players that pushed is on to be a top 5 team. I still think the remains and players we've added are more than good enough to finish mid-table in this league if given a decent manager. Very fair points though ^^ Replacing Ward with Hermansen alone is a massive boost. Buonannotte is clearly destined to be a top 6 player. Bilal looks tidy if unproven. Winks and Skipp have been part of a Spurs squad that has been in and around the top 6 consistently. We're not some perennial championship team that's got to make up massive amounts of ground. We've got a very decent base that I'd expect a decent manager to get a tune out of.

The air feels a little cleaner, the world a little brighter, the birds a little chirpier. People talking about the squad like they're a rag tag bunch of championship players that put together a good run of form. It was a mid table Premier League squad that got relegated due to persistently playing a conference north goalkeeper and a narcissistic manager happy to tank the club. We could do with a few additions but we should comfortably be looking to to finish at the top end of the bottom 8. As it stands, we're about to enter an unbelievably tricky period and we're hurtling towards the relegation zone with no brakes. On one hand I'm impressed the club have acted. But to have wasted 2 weeks and then sack the manager after losing to one of the best teams in the league is par for the course for course for the leadership at the club. There's not a strategic braincell between them.

To be fair the new manager might play him at right back, rather than right midfield. So he'll probably have a much better chance of not being hung out to dry.

Can Foxes Talk influence Managerial decisions ?
filbertway replied to Elsie Effcee's topic in Leicester City Forum
To be fair - given that it is very believable that our senior players can talk to the owner and say they don't fancy the manager anymore. If it wasn't for the fact they hold the fans in total disdain, I'd say it was possible -
Haha gotta be Winks Looks a class sesh to be fair, win at the weekend is guaranteed now. Everyone's gonna be buzzing.

We've just got rid of one tactically questionable nice guy who struggles against teams that aren't significantly weaker than his. Let's not get a replica.
-
Players getting trashed a lot but most of them are just playing how Cooper wants them too... if you think a player looks dull, negative, uninspiring... take a look at their manager.
-
Top 10 might b stretch but with the experience and talent available, I fancy a good premier league manager would have us competing at the top end of the "bottom 8" table
-
Honestly, it feels like all coaches are now being taught that the "correct" way to play football is Pep's way. It's insane how many managers in non league, never mind below the Prem are trying to get fairly poor players to play this kind of game It's like the whole aim of football has changed from trying to score more goals than the opposition, to just having all 11 players cosplay as Pirlo.
-
I'd watch it again, he doesn't pull his hand away at all It just had enough power and distance from the centre to beat him. There's really no real difference between staying down the middle or guessing at diving either way, if the player kicks the ball at you then you save it, if they don't then it goes in. I don't get why players make out like there's an art to it, it's really just a game of luck weighted in favour of attackers. Staying down the middle was always my preference for pressure penalties as players tend to over think and just want to hit the target. If it's weak enough you still have time to react.
-
Rooney clearly the better footballer of the 3. I'd fancy Kane to score more chances than Vardy, but I think Vardy offers more to a team than Kane. So basically Rooney > Vardy > Kane
-
Stayed down the middle, nearly worked to be fair. Ayew's pen was awful, although not as bad as his reaction to scoring. You'd have thought he'd just made it 4-0 how chill he was.
-
Haha you're not serious about the booking? He made no attempt to play the ball and took him down out of frustration
-
Watching cage warriors for the first time tonight. So far its been tremendous entertainment
-
No issue with that. I'd be annoyed if my manager is scared of making changes in case an injury happens
-
Villa Palace game could probably have been 5-5, great end to end game. Much needed antithesis to watching the majority of games where "control" is the current obsession.
-
I'm kinda torn because I like that they're sticking with the refs decision more when it's debatable. Which I think both Wilf and Mav's decisions were, albeit at the extreme end of debateable. If this is a consistent thing then I'm all for it to be honest.

Villa v Palace game is a great watch
