Bournemouth (H) Pre match thread (05.10.24, 3pm)

He seems to have a massive inferiority complex, it shows in his comments, "tactics" and team selections. Not an ideal quality in any manager if you want to progress. -
I love watching them Entertaining side, good mix of nob heads and talent, probably one of the more enjoyable teams to watch in the Prem i'd say.

Considering in that time we'd be big favourites in most of those Prem games. Failing to win 8 times out of 10 doesn't exactly scream that we've done well against them. -
To be fair, if it helps, you can comfortably assume Emery would have been totally wasted here and already gone.

Glad to see him in the goals after Stoke fans were writing him off.

We couldn't find any league one managers that play football as awful as Cooper, it makes sense now.

Still think us and Southampton would be leading the sack race if Enzo was here. He wasn't willing to change his philosophy, much like Martin and we'd absolutely be taking some beatings. In terms of mindset though, there's an absolute world between the 2. If we stay up this season, Cooper's aim will always be 17th, can never see him pushing the club on. With Enzo you felt like it was a project with the aim to consistently evolve and improve. Ultimately it doesn't matter who the manager is, the clowns above the manager mean the club will continue to regress. I don't think they'll accept they've got anything wrong until we slide into the relegation zone in the championship. Which just feels inevitable in the next 3/4 years under this ownership. The clubs value and stock continues to fall, they won't commit to infrastructure investments. It's a shame because they were given an incredible base by Vichai and Pearson. They literally had a first hand experience of what the ingredients of success looked like. The scary thing is that there's no guarantee the next owners will be an improvement. The top end of the game is absolutely infested with sharks that want a piece of that Premier League money and exposure.

He's very comfortable on the ball, sometimes makes the wrong decision but he's still young. Ederson and Allison who come under much less pressure still make errors, it's part of being asked to play like an outfield player. He can be slow do make decisions when the ball is coming into the box which has got him in trouble a fair few times as well. Liverpool, Man City, Arsenal and likely Chelsea will definitely be eyeing him up as a potential long term solution. If they can crack the decision making they'll have a top quality keeper for 8-9 years.

Full stops instead of forward slashes! You're having a laugh! Flair out -
This ^^ Even when we were mid table it was people saying we can't possible try and develop our players because each position is worth x amount. A club can either have a philosophy of developing youth or not. We very clearly ere on the side of "not". You generally either need to be 6ft plus or have a mortgage and 3 kids before you're given a chance here.

Bournemouth is about his ceiling I think. He's got very little consistency. Upper end championship/bottom half prem standard. Capable of quality but also capable of looking like he's never played football before
-
Wasn't a terrible performance to be fair, they were comfortably the best team I've seen us play. Buko mistake and then just individual quality undone is. Other than that it felt like a fairly competitive fixture They were definitely the better team, but 4-1 didn't feel like a reflective score. If the Arsenal v Leicester game had gone the same way in terms of chances being taken, it would have been about 10-1 Arsenal We definitely missed Bailey at CB, sounds like he may have a new job that will affect his availability. So that'll be a problem for Ash and the team to resolve if so. Looking forward to the trip to West Bridgford at the weekend. Taxi booked and a bar crawl around West Bridgford pre match is just the one

Hard to see past a draw. We either score first and drop off till the inevitable equaliser, or we concede first and the players abandon the "match plan" and we find a way to score. -

Oooft, how soft was that first yellow for Califiori and then the ref doesn't give the blatent yellow later in the game. Awful, can't even be consistent in the same game. -

I must be the only one that can see Vardy has thrown himself back to make it look like he's been pulled. He's clearly felt contact from the defender and then exaggerated a pull back. Literally the easiest way to tell if someone is faking is if they through their arms in the air, if you get pulled off balance your arms naturally go down to break your fall, they don't go flying in the air unless you're trying to fake a foul -
Spurs had 3 or 4 great chances in the 2nd half before we scored out of absolutely nowhere
-
Thie vision that the below conjured up, did not match reality "Brandon Cover wins the ball off the Swindon defender before nonchalantly dinking the onrushing keeper 😍"
-
Hope you get yourselves a good tie Some mega teams on the conference!

That's a potential £50m+ asset right there. Cooper's already plotting how he can block his path way next season with Ashley Young and Leighton Baines playing as high full backs.

He's very good at saying the right things to be fair, it's backing his words up with action that he's severely lacking in. This is how he seduced me in the first place

Assume it'll be DAZN and TNT box office
