  1. Class - glad the deserving team one. My man Southgate absolutely shown up, stumbled and fluked his way to a final (in a tournament we were favourites for). Naturally he'll get 4 more years and this young talented squad is gonna be absolutely wasted on him. Congrats Spain, enjoy your celebrations! Southgate, if it was my choice I'd just be leaving this in your inbox.
  2. Southgate making 2 fairly well matched teams looking like a David v goliath 3rd round FA Cup game. Lucky goal will come at some point
  3. Watkins. Imagine Southgate cede's possession, which means you'll have the pleasure of watching Harry Kane playing LCB most of the game.
  4. Course it is. We broke the rules and it there's nobody to blame but ourselves. Then getting relegated with a £190m wage budget is absolutely nothing to do with us breaking the rules. That was our incompetence coming back to bite us. "We got relegated so we don't deserve punishment" should hold absolutely no weight with the league.
  5. It's kind of like drink driving for a year, throwing away the bottles after realising you've been caught then claiming that the guilt is punishment enough.
  6. Southgate and his weird fans after his team fortunately squeezes by nations ranked 25-80 in the world
  7. Fair play to Kane if scores 2 goals from his inverted LB role.
  8. Guess you missed Euro 2016? Think he won player of the Tournament and was scorer. Still no idea how France didn't beat Portugal in that game.
  9. The response of the possession heavy teams is just pass safely and wait for an error though. The possession based teams are just as risk averse as the sit deep teams. The vast majority of coaches, regardless of the tactics they adopt are far too concerned with drilling in percentages and routines into players to the point where there's barely any individuality shown on the pitch. Ancelloti said the same earlier this season. A lot of coaches are so obsessed with looking for edges and turning players into robots, they're taking taking individual talent out of the game, they're slowly killing the sport as a spectacle One day someone is gonna cotton on and realise that if teams are going to sit in their box, just have a couple of brutes in and around their box and keep putting balls into the opposition area. They'll soon want to push up and stop giving the opposition 2 thirds of the pitch to play in. It'll take someone brave enough that won't be absolutely petrified of not having 100% control of the ball at all times though. To some degree I respect the time and effort coaches put into drilling their teams to being so tactically sound, but my god it's tedious. If you're not trying to get men in the box and score goals because you're so scared of what the other team could do, then you're boring as hell. Whether that's the possession based teams or the defensive teams. One thing you can never knock Bielsa for is not being exciting and encouraging risk taking, he's literally the epitome of entertaining football.
  10. Aside from Serbia and Scotland no team has created less per 90 than us. Absolutely grim.
  11. We've finally cleaned the decks this summer after being stuck with players on long contracts that nobody else would offer. We've then proceeded to make the exact same decisions that'll see us unable to sign players in the 2/3 seasons because we're stuck with players we don't fancy and can't shift 2 years with a 1 year extension if both parties agree on a higher salary would be my choice. Seems like we're just kicking the can down the road again and everyone is going to be shocked in 2/3 seasons when we have a 30 man squad packed with players that don't want to leave their cushy contracts.
  12. 1. Financially outmuscle majority of competition
  13. I think I know what you mean in the sense it'd be a bit of a coin flip compared to Spain purely because both managers are so scared of losing, neither of us would try to win. Just Deschamps v Southgate would be anything but a basketball (which suggests end to end and exciting). It's a shame that 2 of the international teams in the world are managed by these 2 anti-football terrorists.
  14. Fisher v Babic wasn't quite the war I was hoping for
  15. Man for man theyre facing a much more superior team. The only difference is their manager is levels above ours.
  16. I was wrong when I thought Kane would be AM, hes more DM so far
  17. I like how it was unthinkable for Saka to be playing left back until Southgate was forced to do it because of injuries Formation could either be a 3 or a 4. Can't wait for Kane, Foden and Bellingham tripping over each other in the AM positions.
  18. Ian Walker goal kicks out to Scowcroft on the right wing, looking for Dickov in behind with the header <3
  19. Can see him becoming a bit of an Albrighton type figure for us. Will happily do a job in any role he's asked to play and will chip in goals.
  20. Well - the style hasn't changed in 6 years, so not sure 5/6 days is gonna magically change the mindset. I'm balls deep in switzerland, gonna lay some pound notes at the bookies tomorrow. The only thing that can hury switzerland is themselves. Slovakia bottled it once they took the lead and stopped offering any threat, if Switzerland don't crumble when they score then it should be easy for them. If we had anything resembling a decent manager then England with the comfortably better squad would win.
  21. To be fair you go on any bookie sites trustpilot reviews and they're all shocking because it's full of liars and idiots generally. Usually all claiming money has been taken or that the games are rigged because they've decided to do £5 spins with a starting balance of £100
  22. Even had France won their group - we couldn't have played them until the semi finals. So even a team surprisingly underperforming in their group and ending up on our side has ended up as the best possible outcome
  23. I recognised Sam as I'm pretty sure I used to play footie with him on my local green. He used to run rings around us despite being 5/6 years younger Friday will be a sterner test for sure, interested to see how they look against a better team. Spain v Germany then our game, should be a lovely evening of footie.
  24. Not too many, I'm sure there must have been a good few from the u21s. Based on today's 4 signings I'm guessing a lot were with Ash at Lutterworth Yeah if last night was anything to go by, Ronnie should fancy bagging himself a few next term.
