Whittaker's attitude and showboating would be palatable if he had the skills to match those levels of confidence, but that first fight was all Cameron. I enjoy a good showman, but you just come across as bell if you don't actually delivery the goods Paddy Pimblett had a similar humbling in the UFC a few years back, only an insanely judged fight had him as winner. He used it as a platform to improve and has been absolutely dominant in his fights since, so will be interesting to see if Whittaker takes his 2nd chance in the same way.

I'd agree with the point about position not meaning much, although finishing top 8 is massive as it literally means you play 2 less games than 9-24 who have to play the extra play off matches. Which means you can rest everyone for 2 games in theory
