  1. Genuinely interested to learn here. What should have done to prevent this tactically?
  2. Always sassy, sorry
  3. Oh yeah if we had a Prem midfield and attack then we'd probably go up comfortably.
  4. Thomas is solid, but we should be looking to improve on him either in Jan or Summer, assuming we want to get back to the Prem. If we're chill being a mid table Champ team then he'll be fine as first choice.
  5. These guys do their best work in selling themselves.
  6. Stuck it on a plate for Youri's tap in
  7. Interesting shout, for my money Fatawu has always been much superior to Mavididi. If I had to choose one to keep after the 23/24 season it'd have been Fatawu every time.
  8. Well I think that was a case of 2 absolute staunch possession merchants coming together to create the worst old firm derby game in living memory.
  9. Cov are fun to watch. Just regular football, get men in the box and cross it in to them. Doesnt rake a masters in footbology to work out why they're bagging
  10. Haha that makes sense. As long as him and James stay fit were top 6.
  11. Didn't see the game. 4 big chances to 2. Have we smashed in some world's again? Haha At this point ill take it, but looking at the stats it doesnt feel like a massive deviation from recent form Maybe we will Man U our way to the ray offs
  12. We are Man U. Individual quality is the difference
  13. Well, we need to see them play together first Don't think our play really lends itself to goals or creating good chances anyway. 99% of the time when we're near the other teams box we've given them lots of time to get all 10 men within 25 yards of their goal. It'll just give us more chance having players that are willing and able to take risks and create something out of nothing. Ideally we'd look to actually play forwards with a much higher tempo so teams don't have time to get in their shape.
  14. Yeah Wilf was always going to be a big miss, he was a big part of our attacking threat in the championship. I think Jordan James will now fill that. If Ramsey lives up to his previous championship form, we should look a lot more dangerous with those 2 playing.
  15. He must be injured right? Fairly sure he's not played in the U21s for a while either? Odd that it's just not mentioned in media or by the manager unless i've missed something.
  16. In the same game Choudhary nearly gifted 2 goals in the first 10 mins. He gave away a sloppy pen. he also watched their winger cut inside about 15-20 yards and gave him a free shot for the equaliser. He's played almost every game since. Nelson literally proved himself as a standout for Oxford at this level last season. A couple of errors due to match rust isn't a very good excuse to exclude a promising player that is apparently highly rated by the club.
  17. If anyone would willingly choose to come and work for our clown instead of Tony Bloom then I wouldn't want them anywhere near us anyway. They'd have to be mentally unwell.
  18. Instantly reminded me of Gary Parker's red in Europe.
  19. Rudkin into CEO and Branston/Beaglehole into the DoF position.
  20. 2 main things I take from that Relegation the following season was a significant financial blow, coming shortly after record losses of £92.5m were announced. Susan Whelan, the club’s chief executive, had warned that the consequences “will be felt for some time”. - Good to see there was absolutely no accountability for this. Even the bloke that got us relegated got a pay off that'll keep him and his family in chapsticks for generations to come. Coady on 70 bags a week
  21. Do wonder if it's a case of us having pretty much the same squad that has had a certain style drilled into them. It could take a while for them to fully appreciate how Marti wants them to play. How drilled these players are, playing safety first football will likely still be in the muscle memory (for lack of a better term).
  22. Needs to sign more ex Leicester academy players.
  23. If Ramsey comes in and plays infront of James and Winks then we might look a bit more dangerous. Assuming Marti reverts to safety mode I expect we'll win the possession battle but that'll be about it.
  24. I prefer him to Ayew, I'd like to see him get a run of games and chance to build up some match fitness. Watching Ayew is painful. Hard to blame the attackers too much all in all though, The fact we mess around with the ball for 2 minutes while allowing the opposition to get into shape means that anyone will struggle for chances. If we're going to let the other team pack the edge of their box before attempting an attack we may as well sign a Steve Howard type who might have a chance of winning some headers from crosses.
  25. We've been running at massive losses so makes sense we need the cash flow. A lot of people in here also complain at how unfair it is that the league discourage us from running up massive losses due with the PSR rules. It should cover Vesty, Skipp and Soumare's wages for a while
