No idea how this is the same gaffer that was at QPR. Blokes terrified of 2 goal leads. Winks, James and Monga come out with credit.
-
Done us all a favour to be fair haha

We take about 3 business days to get to the box with 99% of attacks Go on Jimmy!!
-
Hard to believe some of these boys get paid to do this. To balance it out, Monga and Winks have looked decent

Has it been this good all half?

Switched on 5 mins ago. Seen Vestergaard lose 3 aerials, fall over and give away the ball

Development/Youth Squads 2025/2026 Thread - U18/U21

This, the whole argument for having 9 on the bench and 5 subs was that it would allow teams to develop youngsters. All it's done is bloated squads with extra average senior players earning great money. -
The social media echo chamber is one of the worst things to happen. It's gone from chats with mates/work to being bombarded with the same thing over and over again every night for a lot of people. Most people have their algorithms so zoned in that they just hear and read the same things hundreds of times. It just becomes fact. Regardless of whatever the subject. I keep twitter/x for non league football news, but I've had to get rid of everything else. The majority of things "suggested" is so divisive and toxic.

I've seen quite a few clips recently where he's been challenged on statements he's confidently made and then his response is always "well, I don't know" Blows my mind that people can hear that and then still hang on his every word. It's genuinely terrifying to imagine his rabble running the country. What's even more concerning is that the current leadership aren't doing a very good job of just showing how weak they are. The plan atm seems to be resorting to petty name calling, which will just divide more and solidify his support.

Nah we'll seek to play through a low block and then be bemused when we can't break them down and be even more bemused when they score on the counter. Then we'll up the tempo and go more direct and come back into it.

Fascinating watching. Everton very much doing the basics and letting their flair players do what they want in the tip 3rd. Then West Ham look so rigid and formulaic in their play and just achieving nothing for overthinking everything. -
F**king hell I was only joking about exiling Page to the u21s Marti

I'd take promotion, but injuries to a few key players and it's not worth putting yourself through the stress. Staying down isn't going to make us better, we'll just make awful decisions at this level as well. We just will eventually run out of free money from the Prem and begin the regression into league one. I don't mind watching us in the Champ to be fair, I despise VAR that much that watching games without it is nice. We're a shambles of a club atm, so it's nice having absolutely no expecations. If we see a few young lads come through and go onto better things, that's probably as good as it gets for us till the board accept they're terrible.

If you know, you know

Yeah agreed, I fully expect him to develop over the season and become more rounded. If we don't see improvement then we reassess. Seeing people piling onto the lad on social media in his first full season when he's not even been that bad is a shame though.
-
Not sure he can get that out for a corner, it's quite central because Carranza decides to move out of the way. If he tries to push that around the post then there's a good chance he pushes it into the side netting. I think in this one given the circumstances he's probably done about as well as he can. The issue is we've seen it happen a few times, so fans will see the pattern and it's understandable to be concerned about the early pattern. None of it happens if Carranza does his job though.
-
Yep, Carranza not understanding the concept of a wall and VK being completely asleep didn't help. What is that W

Ha yeah. Kalvin Phillips really did a number on us in that game. Lull them into a false sense of security, it worked like a bloody dream to be fair.

There we go, tonnes of magical memories from the 24/25 season Cosbeh

I think our 2 main ones would be the 2 late gifts from Southampton and Ipswich under Cooper.
-
Nothing like i expected so far. At this point I wonder if the anti youth policy comes from above. Tactics are safe and team choices are safe, regardless of what managers say when they come in. Still early, no real judgements from me till Christmas. Just a comment on the early signs.
-
We are the easiest team to set up against, well us and Southampton probably. Sit in, watch us pass it sound aimlessly, or "fluidly" as some were saying last night fluid or not, watching Winks and the CBs have a pass off isn't really impressive or useful. Watch us ultimately create very little. Wait for the mistake or opening and then spring forward.
-
The lack of Ward and likely Coady gives Wrexham a better chance, but this should be a straight forward win, even for us.
