  1. I thought Spurs were a joke. This united outfit are awful This is a team that's just been spanked by Everton and they're making us look so comfortable
  2. "He's reacted very well" It literally hit him on the head as he turned around
  3. An absolute classic under the lights at old Trafford!
  4. Great to see Wilf back in a starting line up! I'm going for a 4-3 win to Leicester! Faes and Maguire with a hattrick of own goals.
  5. Panic over, forgot Jordan Ayew and BDCR both have experience as front men. Phew
  6. No striker on the bench. 9 sub spots. Our u21 striker has travelled but not in the squad? Lol What
  7. Personally if I didn't like the man and wanted to come up with an alternative name, I'd go for something like "The Dutch Ruudder"
  8. I can only imagine this post will cement "the dutchman" as the chosen name now to be fair
  9. I'm sure if he didn't have a camera on him then he wouldn't either
  10. Players like Buonananotte are so important as they will create chances, considering how sh*t we are at creating chances right now, a player like that would be very handy. The whole shtick of average players playing formulaic football isn't doing much good, so Ruud has to find a way to get Facundo and Bilal playing together whilst keeping both away from our own penalty area 3 4 2 1 would achieve that nicely.
  11. Those eye brows are insane, she must have been inspired by sol campbells 40 yard slide tackle. In other news
  12. The best thing Howe did was realising that Steve Bruce had been playing a CM up front. Best improvement i've seen since someone realised that Kisnorbo was a CB and not a CM
  13. What? You've literally just described "unwilling to change from a system that clearly isn't working" Yep Pearson brought in experienced heads usually on a maximum of a year. he added smatterings of experience to a fairly youthful squad. He had the balance absolutely spot on. Pearson also went on terrible runs, but his overall benefit to the club allowed him leeway in results as progress was made off the pitch. I'm not saying Ruud is or isn't that because he's simply not been here long enough to have the opportunity of a summer at the helm. Cooper was awful pre season, carried on being awful and honestly came across as a man with weak small-time mentality. Getting rid of him was one of few things Rudkin has got right. Edited to say - whilst experiencing step 10 with Coalville this season, I genuinely think even this Leicester team would score in excess of 40 goals against any team at this level
  14. Yes, yes it is. xGA of 2 for the whole season up to now would be pretty astonishingly good, I don't think even Burnley are close to that
  15. Under Cooper it felt like we were a step 7 side facing a Premier League side. He blamed refs for everything, we only seemed to show any intent to take part in games for 5-10 minute periods when we were already losing. He wanted to sign players with Premier League experience, despite us already having it in abundance. His mindset was tiny and it showed in his dealings, blaming and way he approached games. Ipswich and Southampton we were so lucky as they were both well in control and then picked up stupid red cards. One thing I like about Ruud is that he has something resembling an elite mentality, he seems to be big on players having the correct attitude, which is something Pearson believed in. It's only really the fact that he's seemingly unwilling to change from a system that clearly isn't working, I find a lack of flexibility in managers a real damaging weakness. However, if given his own transfer window and chance to re-model the squad, his other qualities feel like they'd be beneficial. I feel like he'd probably be able to put together a team that the fans can fall in love with again. tl'dr; If he could just start showing some flexibility I feel like he has other qualities that could be beneficial to the club in the long term
  16. If you could see shoots of improvement then I'd understand the persistence, but aside from creating a few chances against woefully out of form Man City and Spurs teams, the games have all followed a fairly consistent pattern.
  17. I think Kasper's desire to play in Europe trumps almost anything. He seemed obsessed with it towards the back end of his time with us, it was all he seemed to mention in interviews.
  18. xGA of nearly 2 for a whole season is incredibly poor I feel like those stats look better with Mads, Ndidi and Fatawu. However his usage of what he has available clearly isn't working, so it's one of three things 1) He doesn't realise it. 2) He truly believes the current set up it optimal 3)He's not got the ability to change it up 2 and 3 are arguably very similar.
  19. Mad thing about that list as well is that a lot of those players left the club in their prime years as well.
  20. Now that the 5th tier is majority full time it makes perfect sense. Tbh I wouldn't be against 4 up and 4 down.
  21. Not sure I'd class calling someone stupid and white as racist if it is it then it's the racist equivalent of patting someone on the shoulder and being charged with GBH. I'd be more focusing on the fact that she's a complete and utter knobheaded and has a terrible attitude.
  22. I don't even believe that press release. Summer will roll around and we'll have the squad chock full of overpaid average players with "experience" that "have" to be on the 9 man bench.
  23. If he plays as part of a front 2 you're golden. He goes from the ridiculous to the sublime. If he's in any sort of form though, if he gets the ball within 30 yards of goal he'll often either find a key pass or a good shot on goal. If he plays as a lone striker then you'll hate him
  24. Looks too much like Russell Martin
  25. My god Amartey would be getting absolutely lambasted on here if he was still here. People forgetting just how woeful he was I think Albrighton would make Ayew looks like Mbappe at this point
